New playlists syncs not on iPod Classic

Since the last update to iTunes (running 12.3.1.23) any new playlists that I do in iTunes not synced my iPod. On-The-Go playlists I create on the iPod syncs with iTunes, but it's the only way I can add new reading lists so that they will properly synchronize. Is there a way to fix this?

What happens when you connect your iPod to your computer?

  1. The iPod appears in iTunes?
  2. ITunes says it's synchronization with the iPod?
  3. Synchronization complete?
  4. Everything that made it happen, before disconnecting the iPod, try to click on the Sync button and wait for the synchronization process to complete.

I have an iPod classic which is fully functional and in good condition with no problems.

I have a laptop and a desktop computer.  The laptop is a netbook and very slow. I recently installed iTunes on the desktop computer and cannot find my external hard drive to transfer music.  I did share House on two computers, since I have wifi at home.  There were a couple of albums that I put on the itunes of google drive, so I'm able to say that there is music, it takes the laptop and the music that was already on the desktop itunes. He cannot afford to make playlists using music from the desktop and shared music of homeshare; is it possible to actually use the wifi connection to get music on itunes on the computer so that it is the same thing, or do I have to manually transfer the music as well? If I sync ipod from the desk top music will there be to synchronize?

To load songs on an iPod (which is not an iPod touch), the files must be stored locally on the computer running iTunes to sync the iPod.  You can use the 'normal' file sharing via your WiFi connection (not related to iTunes) to transfer music files between computers and add the songs in the iTunes library, that you use to synchronize the iPod.

  • Sync music Apple iPod Classic

Can I sync the songs from Apple's music that I put on my PC on my iPod Classic?

N ° downloads of Apple's music are written songs, not owned songs.  The device playing them requires an Internet connection to check the status of your subscription.  The only iPod with a (Wi - Fi) Internet connection is iPod touch.

  • gel syncing to iTunes (iPod Classic 160 GB stops synchronization)

I have about 19000 mp3 files in my iTunes I try to sync my iPod 160GB Classic (2009). I've updated to the latest version of iTunes and my iPod is updated to 2.0.4.

The iPod is recognized and synchronization starts as usual and files begin to transfer... BUT iTunes crashes at some random file and stops the synchronization. ITunes basically says it's still sync (but stuck on a single file) and the iPod shows the screen 'do not disconnect - please eject before disconnecting '. It seems to me that the iPod think it's done, but iTunes is still trying to synchronize.

I have to close iTunes and restart the computer to get iTunes working normally again manually. I can close iTunes, but cannot get it to open again before restarting the computer unless I go into the Task Manager and terminate all the processes iTunes manually. If I have this and go back to iTunes and then start resynchronization, synchronization is completely blocked on the first song, while the iPod does not sync at all.

If I restart my computer then start again so I can start the synchronization, but the same thing happens again.

Moreover, I had an iPod touch 3G on this same computer with iTunes and have never had a problem syncing like that ever.

Here are some of the things that I've figured out and to try to solve this problem:

    • I deleted all the songs (files) in iTunes which can not find the program on my hard drive more.

    • If it freezes, the songs he says were be synced with the iPod are not actually on the iPod. Only 2-3 of the first songs sent when syncing remained on the iPod. Well most of the time. In manual mode, they seem to "stick."

    • I have restored my iPod back to factory settings. Who has not solved the problem.

    • I understand that this has NOTHING to do with corrupted files. The file it freezes on seems completely random (I did about 10 to 15 times) sometimes it freezes as soon as possible and sometimes it freezes later. I also checked to make sure that the files are not corrupt. which is not. I even deleted them from the list at the beginning when I first had the problem.

    • I put it to sync only checked songs and then set only 30 to 50 songs at the time of transfer. In addition to taking FOREVER to sync my iPod (don't be easier?), it can still freeze at random to where iTunes synchronization, but the iPod is not. Basically, it can happen on the song #451 or song #3. The odds of a gel are far less it seems with very few songs at the same time, but it can always happen, no matter how little I do.

    • I tried the manual synchronization... same problem. It will freeze during the update.

    • I have tried different USB cables without effect.

    • I tried different machines slot USB.

    • Reinstall windows... that he has not solved.

Looks like you did a lot of troubleshooting already.  As the hard drives used with computers, the hard drive of your iPod mini becomes unreliable over time.  So the cause can be the disc is hard not to write data at random times.  Maybe it's not the cause in your case, but it is possible.

As a test, if you have other USB devices connected at the same time, you can try to shut down the PC and unplug it all the USB devices.  You can leave standard keyboard/mouse USB connected, if used.  In order to put the iPod in Disk Mode

Put the iPod in disk - Apple Support Mode

Computer, run iTunes and connect the iPod to a direct USB port by itself.  iTunes may ask you to do a restore with a message on the "recovery."  Tell iTunes to proceed.  Once the restoration is complete, try to do a full synchronization.  If this does not help, please report back.

  • iTunes syncs not apple iPod nano's music

I joined Apple music. I want to put the songs I buy my new 7 generation iPod Nano. He said: you cannot synchronize music on iPod, Apple I f you want to listen to the song on your iPod turns on iCloud on your iPod.

I have a nano. I don't see an option to turn on iCloud on my nano. How can I put these songs on my Nano?

Apple, why do you so hard to use synchronization!

    Dell Windows 8 (updated running

You can't load songs downloaded from Apple's music service on an iPod (except iPod touch).  Music by Apple downloads are written songs, songs owned not.  They have DRM (copy protection), as required by music producers.  Your iPod nano is unable to check the status of your subscription (no Internet connection).

  • Apple and iPod Classic music please help

    Hello

I have an iPod classic which I use for a number of speakers, I am owner and you use in my car.

I am able to download music from Apple's music in my iTunes and then sync with my iPod Classic? This will allow me to use Apple music with my iPod Classic?

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Songs downloaded from the Apple music streaming service subscription have DRM (copy protection) which prevents loading on iPod (except iPod touch).  The computer or device must have an Internet connection to check your subscription music from Apple.

  • Where to buy refurbished iPod classic

  • Smart playlists are not updated on Ipod classic

I have the latest Ipod classic 160 gb (7th gen?) with a couple of smart playlists on it. These selections are not updated on the fly on the Ipod. I don't know if they're supposed to, but I guess that if. They are updating on iTunes but I shouldn't need to sync to update the smart playlists, otherwise, they are not so smart than that.

    Any help? Thank you.

Smart playlists act as regular playlists on the iPod.  They are only "smart" (automated) in your iTunes library on the computer.  When you sync the iPod, the changes you made on the iPod, like song of note or play counts, syncs to your iTunes library.  Update Live immediately updates your smart playlists properly, and they are synchronized to your iPod with all changes (during the same synchronization).

  • My iPod classic is synced to my old pc windows how can I send it to my new apple mac - all my music on iPod is uploaded to this topic via ads and bought on iTunes?

My iPod classic is currently synced on my old windows pc - how can I send it to my new Apple Mac without losing any of my music.  All my music is downloaded from the ads?

If you still have your old PC in working condition, with its iTunes library intact, not to use your iPod to transfer the library to your new Mac.  You transfer your data from user (not just your iTunes data) directly from the old PC to the new Mac.

There is an automated system called Migration Wizard, if your system meets the requirements.  Be sure to have a backup of the data.

    Migration of Windows v1.0.5.7 Assistant

Alternatively, for the part of iTunes, this paper outlines how do it manually, using an external drive.

Manage and backup your iTunes media library - Apple Support

To summarize, the first step is to make sure that all your iTunes data is stored in the iTunes folder ("consolidate"), which is located in your folder music user account.  The second step is to copy this folder iTunes on an external drive, to create a backup.  The third step is to restore that backup the iTunes on your new Mac folder.  Launch iTunes to use data from the old PC iTunes; It looks like iTunes running on your old PC, complete with all the songs (and other types of media) and data, such as reading lists, notes, play count, etc.

Your iPod continues to synchronize with it, because for the iPod, it's the same iTunes library (on another computer).  If you using your iPod as a data source, you add your old data to an iTunes library on Mac.  It is NOT complete.  The iPod sees it as a different iTunes library.  iPods are not designed to be your data from iTunes backup.

However, IF the iPod is now the only place where your songs are stored (and you have no other backup), thanks for posting back.

  • iPod classic (7th generation), do not sync with iTunes on Windows 10

    Salvation;

My iPod classic (7th generation, 160 GB) is not synchronized with iTunes 12.3.2.35 (latest version) on Windows-10. It is synchronized before, but it suddenly stopped synchronization. The iTunes is to identify the iPod, but it is not sync. Also, all my other iPods (nano and classic) also show the same behavior. Help nicely, as it made all my outdated iPod. Thank you!

If the iPod appears in iTunes, select it (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to show its settings screen in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under settings, click music.  Right, parameters of music on the iPod screen.

NOTE: All iPod songs that are not in your iTunes library (on the computer) will be lost.

If the box Sync music is not checked, check it.  This enables automatic synchronization.  If your library complete iTunes music can fit on the iPod, you can choose the option synchronize entire music library.  Then click apply.

If your library complete iTunes music does not fit on the iPod (or if you do not want to synchronize 'everything'), you can choose the option synchronize select playlists, artists, albums and genres.  Make your choice from the lists below.  For example, you can keep one or more playlists in your iTunes library, with songs that you want on the iPod.  Back on the settings screen of music from iPod, under playlists, search for and select (checkmark) these playlists.  After making your selections, click apply.

Further, iTunes syncs iPod "" with your library iTunes music (or the selected part) when you connect the iPod (or click sync , if already connected).

  • I'm told my iPod classic is not compatible with the latest version of iTunes and I need to buy a new iPod

I have an iPod classic, 160GB, 2009 (I think that I bought in 2011, but they say it's a 2009 version).  I took good care of her, and it worked wonderfully for me.  Recently, with the latest updates of my OS, iTunes, etc. on my MacBook, I got the iPod synchronization problems.  This last time I tried, the iPod has not been recognized by iTunes, or it would be recognized and switch between connected and synchronization, but never go further.  Finally, if I left it long enough that, it would eventually be sync, but then he would go back and forth between sync synchronization, connected and finishing.  After leaving he did that for a while, he would finally come with an error message saying that the iPod could not be synchronized.  Then my iPod was erased at all to this subject (everything is always on my iTunes at least library).  I tried to restore my iPod, which she did, and then synchronize everything again.  He went through the process of synchronization, only to say in the end could not be synchronized.  Sometimes my iPod not even be recognized by iTunes.

So I called Apple Support and they told me that my iPod software is not compatible with the iTunes software.  Both were up to date, so I think I 2.0.4 on my iPod and 12.3.2.35 on my iTunes.  Apple told me that I can't go back to an earlier version of the iPod software because I have no iPod backups on my iTunes.  Therefore they told me the only solution is to spend $ 400 on a new iPod, which I can't afford to do it, nor have you I feel it's a reasonable solution, since my iPod is perfectly good and I was very careful care of her.

Is there anything that can be done to make the two compatible?  Can I download an older version of iTunes?  I'll be able to get my most recent iTunes library on the older iTunes?  Should not continue making it compatible, the iPod classic and iTunes since so many people use iPod classic, and they are the only thing like him around?

I looked in the other forums on the topic, but nothing seems to talk about this compatibility problem and provide a solution.  Someone at - it ideas?  Can you manually manage your music on your iPod, even if the two are not "compatible"?

    Thank you!

So I called Apple Support and they told me that my iPod software is not compatible with the iTunes software.

Seriously...?  My 'classic' 3rd gen iPod in 2003 still works fine with the latest version of iTunes and the latest OS X.  Even the original iPod should still work (assuming the iPod itself still works).  Your iPod classic 2009 is certainly consistent.  That support the needs of the person coming back through training...

When you connect it now, it seems in iTunes?  Are you able to select in iTunes, go to the settings screen, where you see the iPod photo and name in the upper left corner of the window and a box below that?

  • iPod Classic 80 GB is recognized in the library itunes, but will not be synchronized on my new windows laptop 10?

My iPod Classic 80 GB from 2009 is recognized on my iTunes library when I plug it in, but it does not sync?  I have a new windows laptop 10.  What can I do?

If you want to synchronize your iTunes music library (from computer, iPod) automatically when you connect the iPod, you need to implement that.  By default, it is set up for manual loading.  I can explain this process.  However, if your iPod currently has all your songs and iTunes library to your new computer laptop does not work, you should not set up automatic synchronization because you will lose all the songs on the iPod.  Your current situation is not clear.  Please specify what you ask the subject.

  • iPod classic 160g do not sync with itunes 12.4

Since download itunes 12.4, it erased all my songs on my ipod classic. I tried to Resync it, and if I 905 songs on the classic, it is nowhere near the amount of my total (12 000 + songs). whenever I try to sync again, it always gets stuck on a song, showing a ' attempt to copy to the disk (insert the name ipod) and failed. " the disc is not available"and"A so and so cannot be copied because of an unknown error (-59)".

in the menu options on the Summary tab, I have only these things checked:

Open itunes when ipod is connected - verified

Sync only checked songs and videos-disabled

convert higher bit rate songs to... AAFC-disabled

    manually manage music and videos-disabled

    Enable disk use-verified

I'm not a technical person so have no idea what deal with these other options. What happens here? IM real frustrated because this is the first time that I've never experienced this. I have reset my ipod rebooted my laptop, restored my ipod and tried to fix the itunes, all to nothing does not

Is it possible that somewhere there is a setting for synchronization of podcasts which is not lit? If so I can't find it.

Select the iPod in iTunes (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to show its settings screen in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under settings, click Podcasts.  Right, Podcasts from iPod settings screen.  This is where you set up automatic synchronization for Podcasts.  Check synchronize podcasts and configure it as you wish.  Then click apply.
