  • Paths of folders Shell not updated on the new profiles

    On a recent update to an image, I noticed that the paths in the Shell registry records part were not updated according to new profiles. They were staying as they were in the registry of the user by default when the image was created. I couldn't find a way to solve this problem, and it was causing problems with some programs unable to find the location of the files. Finally, I created a new image from scratch and prepared the image using sysprep and the same unattended xml file that I have always used. I fully expect this new image do not have problems, but again the paths were not updated. I can't find any reason for it. Paths of folders Shell remains static on the account used when creating the image and not update the paths for each new profile. For now I use an older image which has not been affected by this, but requires the manual update of several pieces of software.

    The procedure I use to create an image is:

    ·         Connect with the local administrator account

    ·         Set profile options

    ·         run sysprep with the / generalize switch using an unattend.xml file with CopyProfile set to true in the phase specialize and capture the image

    I found several old messages on the internet in terms of static paths in the files of the shell, but none mention a cause or how to solve the problem.

  • filling of form of process after update user profile

    Hi gurus,

    I try to create connector to provide a custom resourse, I have a create, revoke turn off custom particular to this resourse user
    but I am facing challenges in the update in the form of courses,
    Let me explain in detail, I used prefill lthe detail as process thread adapter, the adapter user profile update are triggered to update user information in custom resourse, they are processing the form card, but form of process is not be filled with the new values, if I change my mapping to retrieve the data of defination user then it wil work but process form the old data will ,

    is that I need to write java code to update the process shape? changes flow to the target resource. ?
    and prepopulate the fire dnt adapters when we update the user's profile?

    the pointers will be of great help

    You have created the first name change task in the process of definition of this resource. Here, you mentioned that your work has been triggered.
    So that means that when you see the resources of this user profile, then you can see the change of name the task.

    Am I wrong?

    Sorry I did not notice a thing. You're talking about pre fill adapter. So when you create the first task name change in the process of definition of this resource, then you need a PROCESS TASK ADAPTER not PRE FILL for this.

    Your adapter process task copy value of definition to your process by the user.

    Simply create adapter with a variable and a single variable defined logical task.

    Attach it to your job of changing name and map with user definition var > name and adapter return the value in the name of the shape of course.

  • After the last update (today), Firefox crashes constantly. How can I uninstall this last update? I tried to create new profiles and they also crash.

    Firefox worked earlier today (August 19, 2013 6:30 pm EDT). When I opened Firefix after it IS 9, Firefox has attempted to perform an update. No error was given, but now Firefox does not start. Run a Windows 8 machine with all the updates and current security with no malware known on my system software.

    When I try to start Firefox, the system shows the circle of"work", but then nothing. I created a new profile and got Firefox to start, but whenever I try to go to a website, Firefox crashes.

    The last 2 reports of incidents of today:
    InstallTime20130814063812 (content: 1376962029)
    LastCrash (content: 1376969373)

    Firefox IS working with Windows 8 in Mode safe (I got a message saying Firefox had not been closed properly) with a new profile. If I used an existing profile, Firefox would start and then close when I went to ANY website or any just not start. I shouldn't be no CRASH REPORT has been generated, just a code updated in the LASTCRASH file.

    I have created a new profile, turned off all plugins, redonfigured my security suite of network to start automatically and restarted normally. When Windows came, I launched Firefox with the new profile, went to a few sites only to confirm it worked and then activated the security suite. No problems. I then reactivated some of my plug-ins. I had problems again when all the following plugins have been re-activated:

        -- Java Development Toolkit 7.0.250.16 10.25.2.16
        -- RealDownloader Plugin 16.0.2.32
        -- RealNetworks RealDownloader 1.3.2.28
        -- Shockwave for Director

    With these off and the new profile, FIrefox is now working normally. Thank you!

    I created two new Admin accounts loged on my old account and connected to one of the new admin accounts.

    When I navigate to C : \Documents and Settings\ Old_Username  there are only two of the three files listed, NTUSER. DAT and Ntuser.dat.LOG, and both are slightly dimmed. When I copy these files and go in C : \Documents and Settings\ New_Username  I get an error saying "cannot copy NTUSER: it is used by another person or program." Close all programs that might be using the file and try again. »

    My home screen tells me that only the new admin account someone connected and when I go into the Task Manager there is no process running with my where ancien_nom_utilisateur, the entire SYSTEM and the new admin account?

    So, what I'm doing wrong, how to fix this and have is my Ntuser.ini file?

    Thank you very much...

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/811151

    Excerpt from the article below (note that it says "except the following files")...

    Press on and hold down the CTRL key while you click each file and subfolder in this folder, except the following files:

    • Ntuser.dat
    • Ntuser.dat.log
    • Ntuser.ini

    If I helped you overcome the "used" problem, you'd probably end the corruption of the copy!

  • I can not even open FF because the profile is not found, even after using the profile in order to create a new profile.

    I've recently upgraded to version 40 39.0.3. The first upgrade was not so I removed FF using the control panel (uninstall program). I reinstalled again, but I got the messages that FF was already running, etc. as other users have noticed. I open profiles (Open firefox.exe - p) and tried to open FF with the "default" profile that did not work. I created a new profile ("defaultuser") and FF open. (I have the box checked to use the new profile on startup). I have created FF as I wanted it, and then exit. When I started later FF, the profile is not found. The profile did not have the "defaultuser" profile, does not open with the "default" profile, but would a new profile must be created and FF to open and run. Quit FF and reopen produces the same sequence (profile not found, etc.) I uninstalled 40 and reinstalled version 39.0.3 and I have the same problems with this version (39.0.3), plus he's starting the upgrade to version 40, and soon as I complete the installation again. I uninstalled the 39.0.3/40 version and reinstalled 40 using the Profiles page to write this question.

    I removed the version FF 40 using the Panel of control/uninstall. I deleted all the files that have been "* firefox *" and "* mozilla * ' (and there are some). I rebooted, and then reinstalled FF version 39.0.3. I could we FF immediately (without having to create a new profile). I have not had any problems with a bad certificate of Google, Yahoo, etc.. I went to all the web sites open very well. I could restart, then restart FF several times without problems or issues of certificate. Meanwhile, I made no changes to Kaspersky, and as far as I know, Kaspersky works as he usually does. I am almost sure that FF 40 version has a certificate problem that I can't fix. I'm less sure if the original upgrade to version FF 39.0.3 to 40.0.0 (then 40.0.2) played a role in my profile questions. Regardless, I have a version of FF that works and auto-updated to FF is off (and it will remain like that until I gather a few of this blog and other insurance which emits 40 FF are ironed out). I appreciate the help that you (and jscher200 in another thread) has attempted to provide. While the issues are not fixed, the thread can be closed.

  • Firefox hangs at random, even with all extensions disabled and new profile, but not in safe mode

    From about 2 weeks ago, Firefox has been crashing. Accidents is seemingly random, but normally occurs when several pages/tabs are opened. In addition, all observed accidents occurred in the middle of some operations of the user. If I leave it just opened (and responsible), he would never crash even after a long period.

    Also, accidents happen even once all extensions are disabled manually. However, it seems not to happen in Mode without failure.

    After each accident, in the crash report dialog box, the 'Détails' report would not respond. However I can open reports using the command about: crashes.

    Before the accident would happen, sometimes evil-following behaviors may be observed:

    • Firefox fails to render characters CJK, their view as a rather square boxes
    • Ideogram IME(Namely Google Pinyin, an IME for Simplified Chinese) is no longer can be enabled in Firefox, on a Web page element, or on the UI of Firefox itself (i.e. the address bar or the search bar)

    The following has been tried but no luck:

    • Disable all extensions manually
    • Start a new profile
    • Reset Firefox
    • Uninstall/reinstall Firefox
    • Beta version of FX, 14 to 15, and then to 16

    Hello Rainarrow, other users who have recently updated the graphics driver for their ati hardware (for the version of catalyst ati 12.8) reported similar accidents. Please try disabling hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > General & see if that solves the problem of frequent accidents at the moment.

  • 4.52 AC and 5.02 crashes durning a new profile creation.

    Hello

    my ThinkPad: Z61m 9450-GDG

    Fresh Windows XP Professional with SP3 I have strange acting AC and system update.

    1. access connection when I try to add a new profile first screen where I put the name offline is well, I put the seting Wireless and when to push then had access Conection GUI windows error. "acmaingui.exe.

    It happened AC 5.02 and 4.52.

    Update: when I connectet to the specified network, I can create a profile for this network.

    2. system update - shows nothing to install but he must propose the update for AC. I installed 4.52.

    Keff hell,

    have you tried this method? Seems that firefox user profile is causing this behavior.

    Please try to rename prefs.js of Firefox. In your FF profile folder.

    AC wrote in prefs.js of Firefox when you create a new profile.

    Where prefs.js is great, AC will crash.

    But you may lose some Firefox settings, if you rename it, who are in the prefs.js.

  • Profile of user does not write in c:\windows\temp

    Due to an update of Firefox, I damaged my user files.  I installed a new profile, the limited access, to surf. Now when I try to download programs or to run JAVA applications, I get an error message... "cannot write to c:\windows\temp, access denied, file is read-only. Change the properties of files or contact Admin"in some way, I lost the ability to write to this folder. Changing the property of the 'read only' file does not work, it activates again when the file is closed. I have here a way to solve this problem while still limiting the administrator user profile. level?

    First of all, if you look at the 'Read only' attribute of a folder in the Properties window, you must know that this box has absolutely nothing to do with any read-only attribute.  It is actually used to customize the folder.  Microsoft's explanation of this is in the following article:

    "You can not view or change the read-only or the attributes of system files in Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7"
      <>http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326549 >

    To change the access permissions to a specific folder, the easiest method is to log on as an administrator and change the permissions using the 'Security' tab, as seen when right click on a folder and select "Properties".  If you do not see a 'Security' tab, this means that you have XP Home or you have XP Pro with 'Simple file sharing' enabled.  Assuming you have XP Pro, you can change the access permissions to the terms of this article:

    "How to disable the file sharing simple and how to set permissions on a shared folder in Windows XP"
      <>http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/307874 >

    If you have XP Home Edition, you can start mode safe (repeatedly tap the F8 key during startup key) and then log in as an administrator and follow the above article, or you can log in as an administrator in Normal mode and use the command "cacls" from a command prompt window.  To bring up a command prompt window,
    Start-> Run-> "cmd".
    Then, enter the command:
    cacls C:\Windows\Temp/e/g everyone: F
    What will give "everyone" access to the complete directory.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s since the Partition of recovery in case of hard drive failure or System Crash, when you are running correctly.
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
  • Customer profile updated to ASA
    The SAA can be used to push a new profile to my users when they connect to the VPN? I know that you can update the software but are not required at this time.
    I have about 200 users, that I need to push the profile. Any suggestions?
    It doesn't seem to be a way to push a new profile your customers to IPSec.
    AnyConnect SSL VPN clients, however, pull the profile of ASA as they are classified in a tunnel-group. You can update the configuration of this specific profile, then it will be applied towards them during the next connection.
