New tab next to Active

Quick question for you guys a long time ago I did, but now I've done it I forgot how. So, how can I open new tab next to curent an and that I would be able to achieve, who without any add ons?

Just install https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/open-tabs-next-to-current/

There are no settings to configure and it walk straight from the box. It is light and is not a lot of options to check carefully as TMP doesn't. It is also restartless which means that you don't have to restart Firefox to begin using the addon.

Don't be afraid of addons. As long as you install more light, you should not worry about their impact on the performance of your Firefox. This one is 11.2 kb which is very low.

If you insist on a no-addon way, there is a bookmarklet here:
https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=528005#C53

But it always involves you using keyboard shortcuts and a bit of work to open a new tab next to the current one.

Yes, Firefox has an integrated framework (browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent in all: config) to automatically open the tabs next to the current tab, but it works only in a very limited scenario. He only does it when you click on a link inside the current tab. It will open this tab next to the current tab but if you click on the new tab, or press Ctrl + T, it will always add a new tab at the end of all tabs. This addon will fix this.

People complained to solve this in Firefox since 2009, but there is really no progress on this: Bug 528005 - allow to open new tabs next to the current tab

  • Poster No. 8.0 Firefox new tab next to the tab open, have to manually select the new tab

I see is more a new tab when I have a tab in FF 3.6 and 4.0 running, when I opened a site in a tab, then a new tab appears automatically to the right of the tab in use... I checked the settings on the tab options and all correct... So now, I have to select manually 'New tab' if I want to open a new tab... and it is not to open a new site in a new tab is selected in the OPTIONS, instead of that it opens in the courses tab, so it is the substitution of the tab I'm on... very frustrating... • Open a new tab next to current, not to the right of the related content

The current options to open as a new tab in firefox must be open at the end of the right hand of the band tabs, or open it to the right end of the related content tabs.
If the number of tabs between the current tab and the tab exceeds the visible through the window, there is no visible indication that the trigger was a success and a new tab was opened.
Is there a way to get Firefox to open a new tab to the right of the current tab, but to the left of the related content tabs. This means that you would always see the new tab opening. It would also mean that if you accidentally open the tab to the foreground, rather than the bottom, the tabs related would still stay in the order (although right on the left rather than the current from left to right).

    Hello

It could be that he is hidden behind another icon. Please try this: right click on the empty space after the last tab and Customize.... With the mini window open, you can move the other toolbars and icons to check if the new tab button is hidden. You can also check inside the mini window customize the icon named new tab or click Restore Default Set that will be hopefully restore back. Please note that if nothing is uninstalled or disabled when you click on restore by default, you will have to redo all changes to manual/personal toolbar.

  • How can I set tabs to create a new tab whenever I click a link?

I want to put the navigation tabs so that whenever I click on a link, it will open in a new tab adjacent to the existing tab.

Middle-click or CTRL + left - click on a link or bookmark to open it in a new tab (click Middle = press the scroll of the mouse wheel). You can also right click on a link or a bookmark and choose "Open in New Tab".

To open new tabs next to the currently selected tab, you must set/check a hidden preference:

    • Type of topic: config in the URL bar and press the Enter key.
    • If you see warning, accept it (promise to be careful).
    • Filter = browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent
    • Look at the column 'Value' (false= open to end, true= open after the current tab). Value = true is the default value.
    • Double-click this preference to switch the value from true to false and false to true
    • Restart Firefox (file > restart Firefox)

I had the button next to the tabs.

  • New tab page as a tab (with the plus sign next to the tabs) open rather than below as a button to open a new page in the tab?

Alrighty, the Firefox on my laptop (und such that she has always been with Firefox for me) has the "Open a new tab" button as a tab himself. Always to the right of the tabs I have open und is smaller with only one more sign on this subject. (+) I hit that, bam, a new tab page opens upward, always with the + page to the right to open another tab, if I want to.

Yet, on the desktop that I use currently, this option isn't here. Instead, Open a button tab is a real personal touch I can move it anywhere near the bar of the browser, much as I have with the: start a conversation, current downloads, bookmark, home, options, privacy, etc... buttons.

I like the feature to open a new tab with Firefox on my laptop but not on my desktop. However, I can't find anything on how to open a new tab appears with the real tablets themselves where it is conveniently next to the tab I'm on that, rather than being a button where I have to go to one side or the other of my screen to get a new tab to open...

    How do I change it?

The image I have uploaded, 'B', this is what is on my desk, 'A' is what is on my laptop. "A" is what I want on my desktop.

Don't know what you're going with "expected normal behavior." I was asking how to pass from one to the other, in this case 'B' to 'A' in regards to my image is concerned. But, in any case, go out of your first line "the new tab button displays a button"+"when the button is on the tab bar", it's answered my question without answering it directly.

I asked how to get from one to the other, I know that both are possible. Which... answer my question would have been:

Just drag the new customizable tab to the tabs above button, not the toolbar with the browser bar, etc. below.

Behavior is not what I was asking, I was wondering how to change from one to the other. But thanks, move the button to the top with the tabs is what has changed for me in what I wanted.

  • The bookmarks bar may be hidden in the active tabs & ok on the new tab?

To save the display screen area, is it somehow to have the Bookmarks tab that is viewable on a 'new tab' and have is disappear in an active tab. Be very well if the menu bar has done the same.

Not with all parameters that are embedded in Firefox.

Have you looked for an add-on with this feature?

For what is the menu bar. are you aware that when the menu bar is hidden it may be raised with the Alt key and press F10 . And keyboard (underlined letters) commands will work.

  • While working several new tabs can be opened and rendered active. Why?

Something is opening new tabs and windows in Firefox and making them active. I suspect the cookies. I tried 2 methods to remove all cookies. They reappear. I have reset Firefox. I deleted all the cache. I have run tests of Zonealarm and PC Matic.

There's something in the registry of the cause?
Someone got this and find out what caused it?
How can I delete all cookies?
