• Can I switch HDD of Satellite P100 to A210?

  Hello

  I have two laptops Toshiba Satellite defective.
  One is a P100-160 with a faulty screen and the other is a 120 - 1 c 0 with a faulty hard drive and cannot be used at all.

  Is it possible to remove the HDD A120 - 1 c 0 install the HDD P100-160 in the A210 - 1 c 0?

  My server T420 currently switchable 3-hot hard drives installed and I intend to install 2 hard drives hot swap. The server has ESXi 5.1 and I am looking for the instructions for this process. The plan is to turn off the server, install the new HDD and reconfigure the BIOS to power for hard drives new. Is the installation process for the similar server to our plan or very different?

  You can stop the server, but it is not necessary since you have hot swappable hard drives. While in THE RAID controller BIOS, simply insert drives into available slots. Hard drives will appear in a 'READY' State At this point, you have to reconfigure your virtual disk as needed.

  Any SATA HDD 3.5 "internal 7200 rpm or compatible, my preference would be to install a Western Digital HD, other brands available hard drives are Seagate and Toshiba.

• With the help of Windows Easy Transfer - need to transfer the old HARD drive to new computer - old HDD attached as external drive for the new usb port of the computer - help

  New computer installed Windows 7 and gave me an option to use Windows easy transfer to transfer files, data, programs, etc. from my old computer.  All I have from the old computer's hard drive; a lightning strike fried either food or his mother by car.  I have attached the hard as a disk to the new computer using the usb cable provided with the external hard drive case.  It is recognized as drive E: on the new computer.

  Trying to follow the instructions given by the Windows Easy Transfer software.  Get the software/folder from the old hard drive (drive E), but trying to run the software that I can't seem to do anything on the old disk.  When asked what is the former or the new computer - I respond to old, but no new file is created for the transfer.  When I answer again, a new file is created on the new computer (rather than the old HDD) and then he transferred again to new.  I can't create a file of whatever it is I want to transfer from the old HDD.

  I can't use an easy transfer cable because the old computer does not only the hard drive.  I can't connect to a network for the same reason.  I only have the hard that I can attach to the new computer.  But I can't get the new computer to process the old hard drive separately for transfer purposes.  The only other option I can think of is to attach the old HDD to another computer, and then try to run the software in this way, but I don't want just the stuff on the old hard drive a copy to the other computer.

  Can anyone help?  Suggest how to get the old hard drive files, data, transferred etc. to the new computer.  What are the steps?

  Do yourself a favor, with the old drive connected externally, in the browser, simply copy the data files to the location of Documents of the PC win7. You can not copy programs, they need to be reinstalled from media origonal. You can copy all the downloaded files instalation

• Network with the new Vostro 410 problem

  I just got a new Dell Vostro 410, running XP Pro, to replace a 2400 Dimension 5 - years, which had been connected to my DSL ATT line via ethernet through a 2Wire 1800 HG. My laptop and two other offices (which is the replaced 2400) is connected through wireless cards or adapters. Three wireless computers came online immediately, get internet access and work very well.  All computers are running XP.

  The problem is that I can't access the Vostro or its USB printers through computers connected wirelessly that could print previously via the cable 2400. They do not appear and are accessible on the Vostro and the Vostro appears in the Working Group, but not belong to network on the other three.

  I tried to redo the Network Wizard, but I'm having no luck at all.

  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  I think everything will switch accordingly, but our VCenter server is on the same subnet as our VM network so if I disconnect the VCenter gateway will not be able to communicate with the hosts. I doubt this is a big deal, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice?

  You forgot of told me what grouping load balancing that you use on ESXi? Anyway, if you do not use the hash of the IP, you can proceed as follows:

  1. connect the new switch to the old, by using a port trunk (allowing all VLANs);

  2. configure the ports on the new switch to support connections between the old switch;

  3. configure the interface VLAN (including the INVESTIGATION period), but do not allow this interface;

  4. move all ESXi rising to the new switch, try to move one by one and check the connectivity between each trip;

  5. move all other connections from the old to the new switch;

  6 stop the VLAN interface on the old switch and activate the interface VLAN on the new switch.

• I keep El Capitan, but Food Lion of Time Machine on a new partition on HDD. Is this possible?

  I run a Macbook Pro in 2011. I recently updated my OS from the Lion to El Capitan.

  Unfortunately, a major program I need to use is not compatible with the new OS X 10.11.

  Fortunately I made when I was still on 10.7, a time Machine backup before the update.

  I think to partition my internal drive to keep El Capitan, but also restore Lion of my Time Machine backup on the new partition. This way I can continue to use the program, I need by starting the Lion of the second partition.

  I have an old 10-501 with a 30 GB hard drive that just broke. I bought a new one (Hitachi, 40 GB, 5400 rpm, ATA/IDE), but it is not recognized. I went into the BIOS, but nothing.

  I reformatted my old drive, and it works fine (but noisy) on a partition that is limited to half of the capacity. I have found that the problem is in the second half. It's just to say that I do not believe that the motherboard is damaged.

  So I would like to know if there is any limitation on change of the HARD drive. Or any specific strick.

  Yes. There are limits!
  If the size of the HARD drive is too big the BIOS does not recognize the connected HARD drive!
  But to be honest think I don t think the 40 GB HARD drive is too big. The laptop was equipped with a 30 GB 4200 RPM HARD drive, so in my opinion the 40 GB HARD drive should work too.

  In addition the laptop supports an improved IDE (ATA-5) interface.
  ATA - 5 means Ultra DMA 4 and you can expect performance of data transfer 66.6 MB/s max.

  My recommendation is to test a 30GB HARD drive that supports the 4200 RPM and 66.6 MB/s max.
  If you want you can try to set the BIOS default settings first before you will insert the new 40 GB HARD drive. Sometimes it helps!

Also I did Ctrl alt delete and it gave me the Task Manager. There, I could see that McAfee used a huge amount of juice. For the next period of time (dunno how long - I was in a panic computer) I looked at things by their opening via Task Manager, trying to see what has increased. I continued to get Aretimis advice and opinion seemed to be out of nowhere saying they did download things that I had not agreed to download. McAfee update it's self several times. I turned it off several times to see if she needed that.

  Since that time, all I can get is orTask black screen Manager and all I can get to via the Task Manager.

  I want to like this, but I think I should just take it back to Costco.
