Nexus configuration

Hello

I need assistance with the configuration of the link with the Java Update - version 5.9.2 ApplicationServers-Java cartridge

FMS - 5.6.7 release

FglAM Version - 5.6.7 running Windows

I am trying to configure a Weblogic domain by using the new dashboards and am facing a problem with the connection to the nexus. The Nexus to start earlier by default on the FMS. However I'm unable to get any connection to port 41705 FMS.

I tried to create a new link with the Administration of the Nexus. However, I have been unsuccessful so far. Can someone guide me on how to set up the link on the FMS?

I also tried to deploy the ApplicationServers - Nexus.gar to FglAM one another. However, I got an error with the version must be at least 5.6.7.1.

We have improved our FMS days to this version.

Another question

How can I remove a configuration under Configuration targets? Trying to remove a configuration says that there is assosciated with the configuration targets, so cannot be deleted. How can I remove the target?

Thanks in advance for the help

Kind regards

Ashley

When you install Foglight 5.6.7, make sure that you upgrade to the built-in fglam to the less version 5.6.7.2

Please note that this is not enough to just install the new version of fglam on Foglight, you need to actually improve the integrated fglam (foglight host running agents, dashboard, and then by selecting the integrated fglam and clicking the upgrade button).

This is a very important step that is often overlooked, and when that happens that NEXUS is not created.

NEXUS is supposed to be created automatically when you install the Java cartridge, if the link has been created - great, if she was not named then try to create it manually, if it has not been created open a request of urgent service with support.

You can check this for creating Nexus http://edocs.quest.com/foglight/567/doc/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/frameset.htm?context=cartridgeAPM&file=AppServersCartridge-admin/Administration.4.php&single=true

    Hi Jo Bo.

What version of the software if your MDS race?

On your UCS do connect nxos and show ficelleStringString ficelleT inteface and find the mac address.

It is possible that you could be hitting the bug below. If this is the case, you may need to update the firmware on your MDS.

    Hello

We recommend using mac pinning ("channel-group auto mode on mac - pinning") when N1KV is used on the blades of the UCS.

  • Configuration of Cisco Nexus

Hi, wondered about the Configuration of the Cisco Nexus 100v.

First of all, the MSM will have three vNIC used to:

    1. the Control Interface - NIC1

    2. Management Interface - NIC2

    3 packet Interface - NIC3

The management interface is on the same VLAN as VMconsole (service console) because it is used to communicate with vCenter and ESX hosts for management traffic?

Addresses IP should be assigned for control and packet Interfaces?

    Thank you

When you use L3 control we encapsulate the control traffic and the package on the default management interface. Only IP you need is the IP address that you have assinged to the management interface 0. Interfaces and control packets never get used and never need a IP address.

  • Configuring network DMZ, internal using Nexus 1000v

Hello peoples, this is my first post in the forums.

    I am trying to build a profile for my customer with the following configuration;

    4 x ESXi hosts on the DL380 G7 each with 12 GB of RAM, CPU Core X 5650 of 2 x 6, 8 x 1 GB NIC

    2 x left iSCSI SAN.

    The hardware components and several design features, on that I have no control, they were decided and I can't change, or I can't add additional equipment. Here's my constraints;

    (1) the solution will use the shared for internal, external traffic and iSCSI Cisco network switches.

    (2) the solution uses a single cluster with each of the four hosts within that group.

    (3) I install and configure a Nexus 1000v in the environment (something I'm not want simply because I have never done it before). The customer was sold on the concept of a solution of cheap hardware and shared because they were told that using a N1Kv would solve all the problems of security.

Before I learned that I would have to use a N1Kv my solution looked like the following attached JPG. The solution used four distributed virtual switches and examples of how they were going to be configured is attached. Details and IP addresses are examples.

    My questions are:

    (1) what procedure should I use to set up the environment, should I build the dvSwtiches as described and then export it to the N1Kv?

    (2) how should I document place this solution? In general in my description I will have a section explaining each switch, how it is configured, vital details, port groups etc. But all of this is removed and replaced with uplink ports or something is it not?

    (3) should I be aiming to use a different switch by dvSwitch, or I can stem the heap and create groups of different ports, is it safe, is there a standard? Yes, I read the white papers on the DMZ and the Nexus 1000v.

    (4) is my configuration safe and effective? Are there ways to improve it?

All other comments and suggestions are welcome.

Hello and welcome to the forums,

    (1) what procedure should I use to set up the environment, should I build the dvSwtiches as described and then export it to the N1Kv?

N1KV replace dvSwitch, but there isn't that a N1KV ONLY where there are many dvSwitches N1KV would use the same rising in the world.

    (2) how should I document place this solution? In general in my description I will have a section explaining each switch, how it is configured, vital details, port groups etc. But all of this is removed and replaced with uplink ports or something is it not?

If you use N1KV you rising the pSwitch to the N1KV.

If you use dvSwitch/vSwitch you uplink to the pSwitches to the individual dvSwitch/vSwitch in use.

    (3) should I be aiming to use a different switch by dvSwitch, or I can stem the heap and create groups of different ports, is it safe, is there a standard? Yes, I read the white papers on the DMZ and the Nexus 1000v.

No standard and Yes in many cases, it can be considered secure. If your existing physical network relies on VLANs and approves the Layer2 pSwitches, then you can do the exact same thing in the virtual environment and be as safe as your physical environment.

However, if you need separation to the layer of pSwitch then you must maintain various vSwitches for this same separation. Take a look at this post http://www.virtualizationpractice.com/blog/?p=4284 on the subject.

    (4) is my configuration safe and effective? Are there ways to improve it?

Always ways to improve. I would like to start looking into the defense-in-depth the vNIC and layers of edge within your vNetwork.

  • Since I have configured my Nexus 7 I receive email on this subject, but not in my Inbox in Thunderbird on my desktop PC. Why is this?

I have a Nexus 7 run Android version 4.4.2. I get emails from my account gmail on it without problem, but they do not come in my Inbox in Thunderbird on the desktop PC more and I would that they. I don't have the mind to read emails on the Tablet, but I would say rather desktop, because I can actually type and the keyboard of the Tablet is a pain.

If you want to access your account from multiple devices I use IMAP on all of them. That's what this Protocol was developed for.

  • Configure ports on Nexus 5000/2000 for the grouping of network server adapters

    Hello

I have two Nexus 5000 and Nexus two, 2000.  The 5000 s are peers of vpc.  I would like to connect my server with cluster NIC in a port on each 2000 and all have both be active.  Is this possible?  What are the steps?  I thought it should be this:

    CPR_NEXUS_5K01 (config) # int eth100/1/32

    CPR_NEXUS_5K01(Config-if) # channel - group 32

    CPR_NEXUS_5K01 (config) # int eth101/1/32

  • Pre-configuration of Nexus vPC

Is it possible to configure ports to the vPC in a N5K before having installed vPC counterpart?

    Yes, this should be doable.

Just that the extent of the vpc is configured (global or interface), they will be inactive/down and won't be operational not until peer is also configured and vPC rises.

    Kind regards

    Sunil.

  • HP Envy 4522: HP Envy 4522 stopped accepting the password on Lenovo laptop but still very well with 5 Nexus?

    Hello!

A few months ago, I installed my printer and it worked perfectly on both devices: laptop Lenovo Y700 (Windows 10) and Nexus 5 (Android).

As far as I know that it didn't change with the computer, outside of those frustrating mandatory Windows updates. The last time I printed something with the laptop was a few weeks ago and all went well. This afternoon, she asked my network key and it does not accept my Wifi password.

Everything is fine and prints no problem when I use the smartphone.

I have re-configured network wifi directly on the printer, but it has not made a difference.

I have not changed internet provider.

    Can someone please clarify/help me?

    Thank you!

    Marilyn

    Hi @Merlin999,

Thank you for showing interested by the HP's Support Forums!

I understand that you are able to print from your Android device, but not from the computer Windows 10. I'd be happy to see this with you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

Looks like it's an address IP comes into conflict with the computer or there is a print driver problem. Windows updates can cause changes with print drivers.

Please check that the printer and the computer are the on the same network.

    Tips for successful network configurations:

    • How old is the router? Update the firmware on the router.
    • Don't hide the SSID (network name).
    • Do not use a network of comments (SSID).
    • Using a unique network name (SSID).
    • What type of encryption are you helping? HP recommends WPA and WPA2.
    • Make sure you have 802.11 g active.
    • The printer cannot connect to the 5.0 GHz network. If you have a double router broadband, the 2.4 GHz network name should not be the same as the name of your network to 5.0 GHz. rename the 5.0 GHz network.
    • Enable DHCP.
    • Avoid using filtering by Mac address of the router.
    • Change the router channel fixed wireless as the 1, 6 or 11, who less than traffic.
    • You have a switch or an extra router?
    • What is the intensity of the signal?

If the problem persists, please follow the steps in this Post of mine.

You can try to change your WSD printer port by a Standard TCP/IP port.
To do this, you need the IP address of your printer. The Network Setup page shows the parameters of network for the product. To print this page; Press the network button on the control panel of the product.

You will then want to follow these steps for the switch port:
1 locate and open devices and printers.
    2. right click on your printer icon and click printer properties.
    3. click on the Ports tab along the top of the page.
    4. click on the Add port button.
    5. If you have the option for the HP Standard TCP/IP Port, it's just otherwise select Standard TCP/IP Port.
    6. click on the button new port...
    7. click on Next > button in the wizard.
    8. Enter the IP address of your printer from your Network Configuration page. Note: The Port name is automatically filled in. I would recommend to put a check mark in the box. Always print to this device, even if it's the IP address change.
    9. click on the Next > button in the wizard.
    10. click on the Finish button.
    11. This can take you back to the Printer Ports window, you should be able to shut up. Then click on apply and OK in the Properties window.
    12. try to print to see if the problem is resolved.

If the problem persists, try to install your printer using the Integrated Windows Solution.

    • What were the results?

If the problem persists, we need properly remove and reinstall the software and drivers.

    • Follow the steps in this Post by my colleague @X-23.
    • Click here to download and install the series HP ENVY 4520 full feature software and drivers.

I hope this information is useful. Please reply to this message with the results. Good luck!
