Configuration of the channel of port on nexus 1000V
Hello
I'm new on nexus 1000V, the configuration is as follows, UCS chassis with 4 blades full-width connected to 2 FI 6248UP.
each FI's uplink to a n5k (no mail ORDER).
is there any configuration model the nexus 1000v? How to configure port-channel?
Thank you.
Hello
We recommend using mac pinning ("channel-group auto mode on mac - pinning") when N1KV is used on the blades of the UCS.
Next doc provides good overview on best practices.

Support of virtual channel of Port Cisco Nexus 9300
Hello
As I'm new to Nexus 9300 and I was wondering if the switch can support virtual port channel (VPC)? I was wondering if there is any matrix of functionality compared to the 9500/N7Ks/N5Ks
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thank you.
You can configure VPC on the 9300 series NX - OS mode. The selling point for the Nexus 9 k series is generally well mode of ACI, which would usually be deployed in one focused on the leaf tissue and the topology of the backbone.
In a fabric that we use equal cost Multipath and don't have a VPC configuration designed to reduce some limitations of the spanning tree in classic Ethernet.
Take a look at the Cisco Live presentation BRKARC-2222 for a good overview of the architecture and design of Nexus 9 k.

How to check the use of the channels of port on fabric of interconnection?
Hi all
Is there a mechanism to view and export the use of ports or port channel fabric Interconnect 6248.
I need to export for the last 15 days. Is there a command or options in the GUI I can export it
Greetings.
Native statistics are unlikely to give you a historical trend for the period you're looking for. See the monitoring/stats for the UCSM system section for more information on the rules of collection of statistics. The default value for the period appears to be 2 hrs to watch statistics table.
You can look something like manage performance UCSr, which can do a trend and will retain much historical perspective of production like detailed.
For a short term in UCSM view, click the LAN tab, then a given port channel, in the right pane statistics, chart and "configure chart" to add in the box counters as "total number of bytes.

problem with the configuration of the channel of width 40 mhz on Aironet 1141
Hello
recently we bought the model cisco aironet AIR-AP1141N-E-K9 stand alone. After you have configured it, customer has no problem with the connection and the cover, but there is problem with passage. clients are unable to connect to higher rates, even if I set the width of the channel to 40 mhz, the maximum for compatible client device N rate is 54 mb.
can someone give me some advice how to fix this?
This is my setup, or see attachment file

Remove the ' system VLAN "Nexus 1000V port-profile
We have a Dell M1000e blade chassis with a number of Server Blade M605 ESXi 5.0 using the Nexus 1000V for networking. We use 10 G Ethernet fabric B and C, for a total of 4 10 cards per server. We do not use the NIC 1 G on A fabric. We currently use a NIC of B and C fabrics for the traffic of the virtual machine and the other card NETWORK in each fabric for traffic management/vMotion/iSCSI VM. We currently use iSCSI EqualLogic PS6010 arrays and have two configuration of port-groups with iSCSI connections (a physical NIC vmnic3 and a vmnic5 of NIC physical).
We have added a unified EMC VNX 5300 table at our facility and we have configured three VLANs extra on our network - two for iSCSI and other for NFS configuration. We've added added vEthernet port-profiles for the VLAN of new three, but when we added the new vmk # ports on some of the ESXi servers, they couldn't ping anything. We got a deal of TAC with Cisco and it was determined that only a single port group with iSCSI connections can be bound to a physical uplink both.
We decided that we would temporarily add the VLAN again to the list of VLANS allowed on the ports of trunk of physical switch currently only used for the traffic of the VM. We need to delete the new VLAN port ethernet-profile current but facing a problem.
The Nexus 1000V current profile port that must be changed is:
The DenverMgmtSanUplinks type ethernet port profile
VMware-port group
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk allowed vlan 2308-2306, 2311-2315
passive auto channel-group mode
no downtime
System vlan 2308-2306, 2311-2315
MGMT RISING SAN description
enabled state
We must remove the list ' system vlan "vlan 2313-2315 in order to remove them from the list" trunk switchport allowed vlan.
However, when we try to do, we get an error about the port-profile is currently in use:

We have 6 ESXi servers connected to this Nexus 1000V. Originally they were MEC 3-8 but apparently when we made an update of the firmware, they had re - VEM 9-14 and the old 6 VEM and associates of the Channel ports, are orphans.
By example, if we look at the port-channel 2 more in detail, we see orphans 3 VEM-related sound and it has no ports associated with it:

Lighthouse is off
Input stream control is turned off, output flow control is disabled
Switchport monitor is off
Members in this channel: Eth3/4, Eth3/6
Final cleaning of "show interface" counters never
102 interface resets
We can probably remove the port-channel 2, but assumed that the error message on the port-profile in use is cascading on the other channel ports. We can delete the other port-channel 4,6,8,10 orphans and 12 as they are associated with the orphan VEM, but we expect wil then also get errors on the channels of port 13,15,17,19,21 and 23 who are associated with the MEC assets.
We are looking to see if there is an easy way to fix this on the MSM, or if we need to break one of the rising physical on each server, connect to a vSS or vDS and migrate all off us so the Nexus 1000V vmkernel ports can clean number VLAN.
You will not be able to remove the VLAN from the system until nothing by using this port-profile. We are very protective of any vlan that is designated on the system command line vlan.
You must clean the canals of old port and the old MEC. You can safely do 'no port-channel int' and "no vem" on devices which are no longer used.
What you can do is to create a new port to link rising profile with the settings you want. Then invert the interfaces in the new port-profile. It is generally easier to create a new one then to attempt to clean and the old port-profile with control panel vlan.
I would like to make the following steps.
Create a new port-profile with the settings you want to
Put the host in if possible maintenance mode
Pick a network of former N1Kv eth port-profile card
Add the network adapter in the new N1Kv eth port-profile
Pull on the second NIC on the old port-profile of eth
Add the second network card in the new port-profile
You will get some duplicated packages, error messages, but it should work.
The other option is to remove the N1Kv host and add it by using the new profile port eth.
Another option is to leave it. Unless it's really bother you no VMs will be able to use these ports-profile unless you create a port veth profile on this VLAN.

How can I change the configuration for the output channels analog on a PXI-6704?
I can't seem to understand how to access the configuration of the channels to the outputs analog (channel 33 and 35) for PXI-6704.
This piece of test equipment is out of tolerance and must be calibrated.
I have followed the procedure of calibration http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/374081b.pdf, but am getting hung up on step 8, where it is said to repeat steps 4-7 when changing the _cal_ao_current_offset. I can't figure out how to open this channel because it is not listed as a physical channel for step 5.
I'm using Labview 7.1
Thank you
Hello! What you need to do is to add 'Internal channels' to your list of channels, so you can choose the _cal_ao_current_offset or _cal_ao_voltage_offset. This is done through the drop-down list channel right click and select "I/o name of screening...". ». There will be a check box that says 'Internal channels' and will provide you with all available internal channels to enter your vi Create Channel. I have attached some photos illustrating how to do. See you soon!

Nexus 1000v and vSwitch best practices
I am working on the design of our vDS Nexus 1000v for use on HP BL490 G6 servers. 8 natachasery is allocated as follows:
vmnic0, 1: management of ESXi, VSM-CTRL-PKT, VSM - MGT
vmnic2, 3: vMotion
vmnic4, 5: iSCSI, FT, Clustering heartbeats
vmnic6, 7: data server and Client VM traffic
Should I migrate all the natachasery to 1000v vDS, or should I let vmnic 0.1 on a regular vSwitch and others migrate to the vDS? If I migrate all the natachasery at the very least I would designate vmnic 0.1 as system so that traffic could elapse until the MSM could be reached. My inclination is to migrate all the natachasery, but I've seen elsewhere on comments in forums that the VSM associated networks and, possibly, the console ESX (i) are better let off of the vDS.
Thoughts?
Here is a best practice-how-to guide specific to 1000v & VC HP might be useful.
See you soon,.

Distributed and switch the Channel ports on ESXi 4.1
Hey all,.
I'm trying to configure my rising for a switch distributed in ESXi 4.1 to a Cisco switch upstream. When I change the uplink group, I see that all the parameters of clustering and failover are grey. Why is this?
What should be the protocol port of the switch upstream channel? I use LACP to my cluster equipped with Nexus. This cluster is just the integrated switch distributed Enterprise Plus.
Hello
The team and the failover is configured on the port group , not on the uplink group. If you select one of the groups of Port, you will notice that you can make the changes.
Regarding the question of ports-channels, it's probably a good starting point: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1004048
Here is another good article on this subject: http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/virtual_networking_concepts.pdf
There seems to be a lot of back and forth, but basically the vSwitches do not support the aggregation of dynamic link (LACP). It must be defined as static. This is where some confusion comes into play as LACP can actually support static and dynamic.
Kind regards.

Remove the port from the channel-group
I met a strange problem with port aggregation, where I decided to remove a port of a port channel and put it in another, but in my SNMP tool, it still belongs to the old channel of port and the new at the same time.
Port channel was created using:
(config) #interface gigabitEthernet 0/1/22
(config-if) trunk mode #switchport
(config-if) active in mode #channel-group 1
Then passes through
(config) #interface gigabitEthernet 0/1/22
(config-if) #no active mode channel-group 1
(config-if) active in mode #channel-group 2I have also that when I pull up some information on configuring etherchannel.
#show interfaces gigabitEthernet 0/1/22 etherchannel
Port status Up Mstr Assoc in Bndl
Group of channels = 2 Mode = active = Gcchange-
Port channel = GC Po2 = - port-channel Pseudo = Po2
Port index = 0 load = 0 x 00 Protocol = LACP
Flags: S - device sends slow LACPDUs F - device sends Rapids LACPDUs.
A - unit is in Active mode. P - peripheral is in passive mode.

Age of the port in the current state: 164d: 21 h: 32 m: 44s
This could be a problem with my (observium) snmp tool or are there additional measures to eliminate a port of a group of channels? Reboot of the switch?
System image file is "flash: c2960s-universalk9 - mz.150 - 2.SE4.bin.
Hello
I would say that it is related to the snmp tool, once you remove the port of the chain earlier and added to the new, which will be to the one, it is impossible that an interface will be less than 2 different port channels.
Also there is no need to restart the switch or something like that, you can use the following commands to verify that the interface is now part of the new channel group:
Show etherchannel summary
Show interface execution item in gi1/0/22
With these commands, you will see that the interface belongs to the Group channel 2, and the order that you set above shows that the interface belongs to po2.
Hope this helps

Internal Server Oracle 11 g b2b JMS Configuration of the delivery channel
Hello
I'm using Oracle 11 g b2b server is configured with the Protocol of Mae. I created an internal delivery of JMS to host business partner channel. Now the message inbound (remote trading partner message) is given to dorsal application via the internal delivery of jms channel. Now, I wanted to send you this message to the domain of the weblogic another server that is hosted on another box. So where can I give the other weblogic domain details such as the message will be delivered from the host commercial b2b serveur_partenaire to the weblogic domain queue remote?
Kind regards
BelleauHi Ben,
As already mentioned by Nitesh, you can create a channel of internal delivery of JMS and even configure in your agreement for routing messages to the remote (domain) weblogic JMS queue.
Details of port and the ip address of the remote weblogic domain can be configured as part of the JMS internal delivery, 'Provider of Destination' channel, as below,
for example.
Java.naming.Provider.URL=T3://: ; java.naming.factory.initial = weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory; java.naming.security.principal = ; java.naming.security.credentials = In this case, messages delivered directly to remote JMS queue.

I have the TV signal by cable from the TV directly to the output - without cable box.
Under 'Configuration of the strings' / 'Type of Signal' I choose "cable."
The works of TV and I watch cable TV.
I'll be back later in the day and the parameter 'Type of Signal' has changed to 'antenna' and I can see is more channels.
I change it back and it works until the next time I try to watch TV when I find that it has changed again.
Someone knows how to keep permanently the setting on "cable"?
Thank you!
This problem has been fixed with a recent update.

Configuration of the individual channels on the PXI-4472 b
Hi, I use the card PXI-4472 b to acquire data of vibration using sensors with different frequency ranges. The problem I have is that some of the transducers require being fed by the jury (via IEPE) and some don't and I can't find a way to turn the excitement on and off for individual channels, only each other.
I am using LabVIEW 8.6 and that you have configured all channels using the nodes property to activate the excitement and specify the current, but not all channels require that.
It says clearly in the data sheet of the map of 4472 channels are individually configurable for the IEPE, can someone please tell me how to proceed?
Thanks in advance,
Darren.
Howdy Darren,
Please see the following screenshot that illustrates how to set different values for different channels of IEPE all in a single task using DAQmx. The key point here is the property of ActiveChans. Otherwise, as you know, 3GEF55NQ knowledge base: How can I activate IEPE excitement on my DSA in DAQmx device? would do the trick.
I hope this helps!

I just deploy the tomcat in windows server 2008 and to test whether it is installed correctly. When I opened the IE9 and type in http://localhost: 8080, he goes to the homepage of tomcat successfully. However, when I slap http://127.0.0.1:8080, it shows that Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage (normally, these two methods are the same for the homepage of tomcat). The device or resource (127.0.0.1) is not configured to accept connections on port "8080".Then I tried the same procedures in my own laptop, there is no problem.
