AVG later told me my firewall is disabled and there was the possibility to reactivate it and I did. After internet explore stop allowing you to enter certain sites that I wanted to enter, I ran the Diagnostics again and he told me that a firewall client has been the cause of the problem. I tried to control my firewall setting, but had that "due to a problem not identified, windows cannot display the firewall settings". I thought AVG was the problem, so I have unintalled then he returned and attempted to access the firewall but got the same message. I typed in Google MySapce and found this site. I followed a few directions given to others in the thread started by joecarpenter33 and discovered that my firewall has been deleted and Base filtering engine has been deleted also.   Many members of our society are using portable computers. However they all use docking stations when in the office. Nature from home they all simply press the eject button on the docking station and put the laptop in their bag. As you know that the laptop stays on since there is no action in the Power Options, simply what happens when "I close the lid.

  Some have killed cell phones in this process, it is recommended to put the computer to sleep manually start before removing from the dock menu and go about your day, but naturally not everyone follows this process.

  So is my question there a framework built in Windows 7 that will put the computer to sleep automatically in case the laptop lid is closed under power and is suddenly disconnected from the power?

  I just installed a HP Pavilion dv4 laptop, running windows 7 (64 k) and a router Linksys E-1000 of wireles in my home network, consisting of an HP pavilion a6150y desktop, running MS Vista Edition home premium (32 K), to which a HP Photosmart C4280 printer is connected via a USB port. All internet and e-mail functions work perfectly across the home network, except that I can't print from the laptop to the printer. I understand that the C4280 should function as a print server through the Desktop, but I can't print from the laptop. Heterogeneous operating systems cause inability to print from the laptop? Any suggestions?  The laptop has no problems printing to the C4280 when connected directly via a USB cable to the printer.
  Troubleshooting: I ran across the network installation procedure, but nothing helped. The printer has never worked since installation of network components House (e-100 of Linksys and the HP dv4 laptop) anyone can propose a solution?

  First of all, you need to set file/printer sharing and share the printer.   The Windows 7 network type must be on "Home" or "work". The type of Windows Vista network must be on "private". "Public" is for when you are connected to an Internet connection 'foreign' as an Internet café, at Starbucks or a hotel, etc. In Windows 7, go to control panel > everything in Control Panel > network and sharing Center. Click on "change the advanced sharing settings. You don't want to use the residential group unless you have all Windows 7 machines. If you do and you want to use the homegroup, see Windows 7 Help & Support. Otherwise, in sharing advanced:

  Discovery of plug in the network
  Open the files and printers sharing
  Turn on the sharing section Public folder sharing
  Plug the password protected sharing

  In Vista, turn on password protected sharing.

  A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, turning on window file sharing and printer as the above will take care of that for you. In XP, you can run the Network Setup Wizard or just enable file sharing / print in the Windows XP firewall exceptions. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus/security with its own firewall component program, then you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Refer to the safety of any third party program or the user forums for how to correctly configure its firewall. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

  (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

  C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this:

• iMessage showing on the laptop and iPhone

  imessages does not have both portable and iPhone.  messages to go to one or the other, but not both at the same time.  Now the messages seem to default to the laptop (Macbook Pro).  If I initiate iMessage to someone on the phone, I get on the phone.  If I'm on the laptop for the same message exchange, I get on the laptop that after that I start to send on the laptop.  I will never receive the first part of the message on the cell phone conversation.  I use OS 10.11.6 and iOS 9.3.5 used it for all the work as it should.  I suspect updates of the BONE is the culprit.  I have reset and restored the phone nothing is done.  Preferences appear to be as they should.
