No active mixer available (audio driver)

Hello

After installation of windows xp with service pack 3, the sound system tray icon is gone and it displays a message (without active mixer available) when I try to drag and drop to control panel - sound and audio device.
I checked the BIOS settings his on her.
I took his service to automatically run when the system boots from services.msc.
I also installed the codes and the latest version of the sound driver

After having done all that, it does not work
play only my sound system.

Well, my motherboard is Intel D101GGC.

So if there is someone who can help please do.

Hello

Look in Device Manager under the details of the pilot of the material in question to see if it is using the latest drivers you have installed. Usually, if not done carefully, Windows will install the hardware drivers that are certified to work on the platform. Sometimes, this can end by a material that was working before turning off. If it is active the pilot Microsoft, you can uninstall the hardware and restart your pc to install the one you downloaded last.

I installed the Driver Conexant HD SmartAudio 221...

What can I do in this topic...

Unfortunately, but you can not do much
The point is that it is a Conexant audio driver problem. This option or parameter is simply not available in the Conexant audio driver and as a result the port of stereo mix is not available and cannot be used.

I don't think a driver update audio can help so expect an update.

    Cheers mate

  • No sound - get the error no active mixer device or no audio device installed

Original title: downloads for devices sound cards/audio/active mixers
Hello, I got my laptop crash currently and when I came back, I have no sound except for the beeps. I can't hear CDs or audio files on different Web sites. I can livestream and see a video, but not hear. I plugged headphones and have the same results. I get the error codes are no active mixer device and there may be no audio device installed. I have a windows xp operating system. I don't know where to go to start a download for sound cards.
    Thank you.

    Miloz

We can try to install the drivers manually. It seems that every time that your device has crashed, someone reloaded Windows without having to install the device drivers.

Let's start by trying to install the audio driver first. This one we might have to do it manually, but the others should be automatic. This gives a test:
    1. go to: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzip/7z465.exe and download the 7zip archive manager
2 download, register, and install the utility on your computer
    3. once the utility installed, go ahead and re - download the audio driver package
    4. save the package on your desktop (or somewhere easy to access)
    5. once the package downloaded, find him, do a right click and choose "extract here...". "or something similar in nature. Basically we will extract the contents of the package and install it manually
    6. once the content is extracted, click START
    7. in the menu START, right-click on "Computer" and choose "Properties".
    8. in the upper left corner, click on Device Manager.
    9. find your Multimedia Audio Controller, right click and select 'Update Driver'... »
    10. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    11. click on the button 'Browse' at the top
    12. place where are the files extracted from this driver package
    13. Browse in the folder extracted and select the listed file. If there are several of those who choose an and and if it's just, the Setup will continue. If this is not the case, the installation program displays and error and then you just go back and try the alternate
    14. from there, the installer should walk you on the rest of the steps to manually install the driver package
As far as your other drivers go, I would recommend going to the bridge site and looking for a driver of Modem for your computer model. The audio driver should be supported at this stage, and the Ethernet driver can be a joint wireless adapter you have. You may need to find a driver for it on the site of the gateway, OR if you bought the adapter you need to go to the device manufacturer's Web site and get you a driver there.

    Original title: sound problems

Hi, my name is JF. I'm having the VERY SAME problem. A few weeks all of a sudden all I hear is silence. NO SOUND!  I bought new speakers and nothing.  He said: no available active mixer device.  I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 desktop computer, not a laptop.  Please help.

    · What is the service pack installed on your computer?

    Method 1:

When I start my computer, the sound card works fine. I click on the volume control and it works.

In a few minutes, he cut. I click on volume control and get a pop-up message:

"There are no active mixer devices. To install mixer devices, go to control panel, click Printers and other devices, and then click Add Hardware. This program will be closed. ""OK "".

I downloaded the Realtek drivers (it's pilots did not update so that they are the original ones) and reinstalled them. I tried RealPlayer, WMP, QuckTime.

I tried to live with it, but it's really annoying me now.

    Anyone has any ideas, please?

    Thanks for reading :)

    Hello

Strange could you please check if the "Windows Audio" service has been disabled.
Go to RUN and type "services.msc", scroll down to "Windows Audio" and make sure it is running and/or standing on "automatic".

    This service should always runs.

You can also try to remove the sound card and after restarting again the OS notebooks should recognize the card even once.

  • E531 Audio driver audio not available not available

    Hello

The latest versions of Conexant audio driver (currently 8.65) do not support audio downtime such as the legalization of the volume. Equalization of the volume is pretty important and I don't know there are people who use other options too.

    http://PUU.sh/aFP1V/246a0b917d.PNG

    [mug shot]

Conexant overall doesn't seem to be too good to make the drivers. It is a 170 MB download for a pilot of 4 MB (which they refuse to do know themselves), followed by of a probably huge facility some DSP Dolby and the 3D effect that cannot be chosen. This allows the stereo mix became finally possible with the latest versions, but now they said bug. Why companies that fail to deliver appropriate products is not more these days out of business? They are everywhere and they just continue to grow despite their obvious failure.

Aaand I just found 2 command new Panel applets, with different audio settings in a window unnecessarily decorated rather than the native user interface, and other accommodation dolby unnecessary presets and options that are normally found in the native speaker config, including equalizing the volume... • Realtek Audio driver problem

I have a problem with my audio driver that comes no doubt of my motherboard (Asus M5A97 MORE)
This happens almost every day. Anytime my pc audio just cuts, if I try to reactivate it by unpluging and pluging back in my headphone or mute and reactivate of my audio mixer I have constant ear noise squeal.
The only way I can fix it by changing my audio type: stereo at quadroponic and it is back to normal, but about 3-4 hours later that the audio will cut again.

Occasional whole audio driver will be out later I have to restart my pc to fix, but when after restarting uninstalled my audio driver it's self from my pc and I have no sound at all. So of course I just download and install the driver, but it still happens.
Is this a problem with the sound card on my motherboard? Because I reinstalled my windows and this problem still occurs.

    Hi Kris,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand that the continuous sound break and sound driver gets uninstalled after a reboot. I can understand the inconvenience, and will be happy to respond to your request. Let me ask you;

    • How to install the audio driver?
    • Remember to no particular change in the computer before the show?
    • What security software is installed on the computer?

This could be due to the incompatibility of the driver, damage, any third-party software or a card of the same mother as well. Let's try the following methods and check the status.

Method 1: Make sure that your playback devices are activated.

Right click on the speaker on your taskbar icon > select "playback devices"
In the empty space, right-click and select the two ' Show disconnected/Disabled Devices "

You can see icons for your speakers and headphones now?  You may need to activate these two.

Method 2: Run the audio Troubleshooter

Click 'Start' > select ' Control Panel '

In the top-right of type search field Troubleshooting > select "Troubleshooting"

Click "Hardware and sound" > select "play Audio"

Method 3: If you have not tried this method, try it. Visit the computer manufacturer's support Web site and install the latest sound driver and check.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

I tried the sound of setting here is what I tried:

I uninstalled IDT audio driver I went into Control Panel and uninstalled the IDT Audio driver.

Then I restarted my computer and I reinstalled the drivers of HP's Windows 8.1.

After restarting my computer again, I checked to see if everything was back to normal, but it is not yet sounded even.

When I right click on the "speaker" icon and then choose playback devices here is what was posted:
    The top unit is called:
Its digital display (AMD high definition Audio Device) not connected
    OK, this is Normal.

    The central device is called:
Speaker / device by default HP (IDT High Definition Audio Codec)
OK, this device is also Normal.

    The background feature is called:
Communication by default communication device Headphones (IDT High Definition Audio Codec)
OK in Windows 8.1 this device has been disabled by default but in Windows 10 it is activated and listed as default communications device.

So I thought that if I just disabled it my Turtle Beach P11 helmet would return to normal, but it didn't she sounded still, I even restarted my computer.

OK, so I tried to set the Communications headset as device by default but when I right click and click on set as default device it wouldn't let me.

I then disabled speaker / HP and tried to set it as default device it wouldn't let me.

When I disabled speaker / HP Groove Music said he could not detect an Audio device in order to activate the speaker / HP and people with disabilities
    Helmet of communication.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    A temporary Solution:

After you have solved the problem by reading through countless messages try every difficulty that none of them I went into Control Panel and he took a glance at the the Dolby Advanced Audio Control Panel now I never tested with this before so far but I was able to fix the Audio questions here is exactly what I did :

When you use your built-in Laptop speakers or possibly other speakers:
Right-click on start (the white Windows icon located to the left of the bottom of your screen)
    Click on Control Panel
    Click on hardware and sound
    Click Dolby Advanced Audio
    Click on listening experience
    Check Dolby Advanced Audio

    I've tested on the following:
    Play music (sounded great)
Played a Youtube video (sounded great)
Played a video that I saved on my PC (sounded great)
Played a show or a movie on Netflix (sounded great)

When you use your headset from Turtle Beach Z11 or possibly other headphones:
Right-click on start (the white Windows icon located to the left of the bottom of your screen)
    Click on Control Panel
    Click on hardware and sound
    Click Dolby Advanced Audio
    Click on listening experience
Uncheck Dolby Advanced Audio now, your headset should ring loud instead of sound like Mono and stereo and crappy.

    I've tested on the following:
    Play music (sounded great)
Played a Youtube video (sounded great)
Played a video that I saved on my PC (sounded great)
Played a show or a movie on Netflix (sounded great)

You need to keep the box checked when you use your built-in Laptop speakers, otherwise they will sound like Mono and crappy.

So basically when you plug in your headphones uncheck the box.

So basically when you disconnect your headset check box.

If you have messed with the implementation in and want to return to the default value:
    Click Advanced settings
    Click on Reset

Thanks to my temporary fix Audio problems are gone, but I hope that HP releases new drivers, so I can't use my temporary Solution.

Also I hope HP or Microsoft releases new drivers for the Synaptics TouchPad so that people can save their settings.

This has been corrected by James Yerkes on Microsoft Community:

    Open regedit.exe

    Navigate to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

Note it's the LOCAL MACHINE, not the CURRENT USER.

Search for a key in the installation folder called DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

Double click and change the value to 0

Now go back in the Panel of Synaptics, put all how you like and restart.

in any case if someone has problems with Windows 10 Post here and I'll see if I can help you but I recommend resetting your PC in recovery Menu so that most of the problems will be solved then I would install all my drivers from the manufacturer.

I am currently using window 8.1 1 driver from AMD and HP drivers.

    Hello

Have you checked the page of the Toshiba driver?
If this isn't the case, then do it!
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU

Here you have to choose the right unit and you will get all the drivers available for this notebook.
I checked this page and I found the audio driver XP for this laptop.

That is why I see no problem ;)

  • Satellite P100-426 - which audio driver I need for Windows 7 64 bit?

    Hello

I installed Windows 7 64 bit for my P100-426. It was no problem but I can not foud a driver for the sound chip and I do not know the sound chip that is on board.

    Maybe someone can help me.

    Thank you very much.

    sven_lee

    Hey,.

The problem is hat for Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows 7 64-bit are drivers available for your laptop model. I checked this on the official website of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

According to the Toshiba page your laptop has audio chip Conexant
But Conexant doesn t provide drivers directly then you will have to check again the Web from Toshiba site

I discovered that the Satellite P300 also has card his Conexant and there is a driver for Windows 7 64-bit available. In my opinion, you should try the audio driver for Satellite P300. Theoretically, this should work. ;)

  • Equium L40 - 10z PSL41E - cannot install audio driver WinXP

    Hello!

I'm having a problem with the installation of the Windows XP sound card drivers

Computer laptop informatio, Toshiba Equium L40 - 10z (bought from PC World) PSL41e
    2 GB Ram DDR2 - 667 Mhz
    Core 2 [email protected]
    120 GB hard drive
Intel GMA 945 graphics card with shared memory

I can't find drivers for my laptop, the specification is indicated above. I have windows XP with service pack 3 installed and the system is unable to install drivers Realtek High Defination or audio drivers Realtek AC 97 ". I even tried the latest drivers version 1.86 but not its use.

I read the other posts on this forum and have tried the other model audio drivers as well, it seems that after running the installer from several other realtek audio drivers for windows XP THAT is of no use. I even tried to add material manually through the Device Manager and have to install these drivers for realtek high definition audio and the realtek ac 97 audio drivers.

Of course, this helps the drivers to install, but windows cannot activate the material with an error code 10 with a note of explanation on behalf of the driver in Device Manager.

I also tried to install the drivers of toshiba A100/A200 without exploitation, however, I read somewhere that there is a windows XP patch that is required to be installed, so that windows detect the chip high definition, which is on the motherboard. If one can provide a direct link to a driver with the .inf file that will have the information for the material, or if someone can advise (or provide a link for) according to microsoft update is required for windows XP, in the appropriate hardware detection, will be really useful.

I'm also sorry for my bad English I'm unable to articulate with the type of problem, I faced. But if anyone knows of a solution and additional information is needed, I will be happy to provide you with everything I know.

I'll be very grateful to anyone who helps address this issue. Looking forward to a positive response :).

To my knowledge, that the XP SP3 is not published official. Only a beta version is available.
    Then go back to SP2!

    > the system cannot install drivers Realtek High Defination or Realtek AC' 97 audio drivers
Realtek AC 97 audio driver is not compatible! You must use the driver from Realtek High definition.

    > Of course, it helps the drivers to install, but windows cannot activate the material with an error code 10 with a note of explanation on behalf of the driver in Device Manager.

The problem is that you have not installed the MS XP patches that are necessary to get the sound working.

  • Does not install the audio driver for Portege M400 WinXP

    Hi all

I have a Portege M400 (3G) and I managed to extract the Windows XP Tablet Edidtion the recovery DVDs. I installed Windows XP and all the drivers in the correct order (I've omitted some of the software I don't need) and everyting works fine (in fact, I am posting this from the tablet itself) except for the sound driver. He refused to istall and gives an error message that the software does not apply to this model; even if it is the only available page driver drivers Portege M400(3G).

    any ideas?

    Hello

where to download the driver? On the European site? Maybe you should try the Canadian site, they sometimes have some drivers who hasn´t europe and maybe you can find the audio driver that matches:

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

Otherwise, there is another option: find out which audio chipset is installed, visit the website of manufacturers of this chipset and download the drivers. Him to work.

    Welcome them

HP is not a new Realtek audio driver for your computer. However, you can use the Realtek HD Audio Codec Driver on your computer. Just check 'accept', click 'Next' and a download location for the 2nd item on the selection list.
