No audio, audio, device says no audio device

Can fix us my sound?

My speakers are plugged in and powered and are not violated. But I must have done some settings change yesterday somewhere that has suddenly silenced them. They UM if I unplug the audio cable that they always have. And the internal speaker of my tablet is too quiet too. So some adjustment I did affected them both. Where should I look to fix this?

If I go to control panel > sounds and Audio devices, it displays a property page that says no. Audio Device.

I know I messed with drivers yesterday to solve another problem. Apparently, something that I had messed up my sound. Help!

Go to the site of the manufacturer of your computer, navigate to the page of downloads for your device, then download and install the latest audio drivers XP. Don't be fooled MS Update to do the work for you.

Restart and you should now have sound.

See you soon,.

    Hello
You can try to uninstall and reinstall the sound card drivers and check.

    Here are the steps:
    a. click on "Start" and "Control Panel". And then double-click "Administrative Tools" and "Computer management".

    b. choose "Device Manager" in the field on the left side of the screen.

    c. search for "audio, video and game controllers". Click on the plus sign (+) next to this field. This will develop a list of devices under sound, video and game controllers, which will include your sound card.

    d. right-click on your audio driver in the list, and then select "Update Driver".

    e. follow the instructions and Windows will automatically search for and install driver updates

  • My audio does not work even though device manager says my driver is not working properly

After I re installed Windows XP after the blue screen problems continued I was not able to get my audio.

First of all, I tried several different versions including the MB CD driver and those on the site of Asus for my motherboard. I tried later and I tried the oldest. The only way I could install the driver should disable Microsoft high definition UAA, install the driver, and then I managed to install. I don't know if that is related to the problem.

http://snag.Gy/1C8yj.jpg On the Realtek HD Audio Manager, there is no playback or recording device. I don't know why because my driver is correctly installed.
http://snag.Gy/CzhyY.jpg Inside of my Realtek HD Audio Device in properties I found this. It is said that it is enabled but not installed right which is in contradiction with what he says on the 2nd picture. It is said that by noon, table of mixer and Line-in as well.
http://snag.Gy/D04a4.jpg It's the only thing I don't understand. I tried to install a driver on it, but it does not. I think that this could be the cause of the problem, but I am open to any response.

If there is anything I can do or that you must see tell me and I'll post it.

It may be a problem with the sound card. Try to use another sound card and check if the problem persists.

    Hi gary kenny,.
    1. when the question is is produced?
    2. the issue of 'No audio' intervene on other applications as well?
    3. What is the brand and model of your computer?

Follow the steps and check if they help.

    Step 1:

If you have HP and Compaq Windows XP computers, you can follow the steps mentioned in the article.

    Step 2:

Or, you can uninstall and reinstall the sound drivers.

    a. click on START
    b. click Control Panel.

You should have a few icons to come.
If you do not, you must make sure that you have enabled the classic view.

Locate the control panel option, it will be on the left side.
    Once activated the classic view

Follow the rest of my instructions.

    c. click Device Manager
    d. sounds > search for your sound card (if you are not sure that your sound card is, post options and I'll tell you that one.)
    e. Note description brand / model, double-click on it, go to the tab drivers, note the version.
    f. make a right click on it and UNINSTALL it and restart the computer it will rebuild the driver stack.
    g. go to the manufacturers website and find the latest driver for your card download. (You must know the name of the sound card, if you wrote down from the above info), when you find it download: SAVE IT DO NOT HIT RUN (save it on your desktop for easy access.
    h. open the file that you have saved and right-click on it and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR(Now install it.). REBOOT after each installation of driver.

    Step 3:

Sound drivers often rollback, so check that the version you just installed is always there. If not, the driver to keep until it sticks, it really shouldn't take more than three times

    Hello clarksdad,

It seems that you have not installed all the drivers after your new installation.

Try to install the drivers for chipsets motherboard from the CD driver provided by the manufacturer/supplier of your PC.

And then you continue with the installation of drivers VGA and Audio.

For the most part, all these drivers come packaged with the CD provided by the manufacturer/supplier of your PC.

    Thank you and best regards.
