  • Satellite A300 - no Audio device installed

    Hey,.

During the last week, I had trouble with my audio.
The first incident occurred then that I was browsing the internet, and suddenly an error pops up and off my sound. When I checked for audio devices it says there where not installed and when I checked the Device Manager there is also none installed. I then uninstalled the driver/software from my computer and reinstalled them, but yet the drivers were not recognized. Instead, it there was only a HDMI output driver that would say that he plays sound, but none would come out of my speakers.

Then I had abandoned all hope and played a video (no sound) when all of a sudden sound began to play off the speakers and all the audio drivers have been recognized.

Then happened the same incident as the first, and now still can't solve this problem.

Also mistakes keep coming by saying "Soundchanger.exe" does not work.
Any help would be great! I uninstalled and reinstalled all the correct drivers and always use system restore, but the sound still doesn't work.

    Hello

Has this happened with Windows Vista preinstalled Toshiba?
If yes then I would recommend restoring the operating system using the Toshiba HDD image or the recovery disc.
I think that it is necessary if the pilot of its installation or update didn't help.

The new installation of the OS would also be useful to check if this is a hardware or a software only problem.
Usually after the new installation of the OS, the sound should work fine. But if you this sound issue still appear then a hardware problem could be the reason for that, as mentioned by Akuma.

I had some problems of sound, but only after the installation of XP_ _Win. Some MS patches that are part of the SP3 has been installed no. and therefore the sound n t function.
So I deleted the audio driver, installed SP3 and after reboot the new, I installed SP3 and the sound worked again

  • Why my audio devices do not go away after I reinstalled Windows 7?

I have a HP Pavilion M7690E Media Center PC. Purchased in December 2006. It has a NVIDIA GeForce 7500LE video card and a Sound Blaster Audigy XFi, map its 24-bit Xtreme Fidelity.

When the computer was purchased, it ran Windows XP. I later upgraded to Windows Vista and finally updated again to Windows 7.

Today, I decided to re - install Windows 7 so the hard disk should be erased, reformatted, and I could give it to a parent. I cared not if all the files have been deleted. After doing the custom reinstall everything worked well and I had a zillion updates. However, there was no noise from the stage monitors and when I checked in the Device Manager, there was 'No Audio Device Found ". I downloaded and installed the latest driver for my sound card that does not do anything to solve the problem and now, I'm stumped. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Yes, I know I should have backed up just in case, but I never pretended to be brilliant.

    Thanks for any help.

I stumbled upon the solution to my problem. I went to devices and printers and found a ball strange entry under devices. When I checked the properties of the device, I found that it is a multimedia audio device without any driver. I clicked on troubleshooting at the top of the screen and the computer lead me through the process of obtaining a driver for the sound card. Some times better to be lucky then good or smart! In any case, thanks for the advice.

  • Device Manager - unknown device + Hig Defintion Audio Device (Point of Exclamation)

    Hello

I hope that someone can help you. The hard drive on my laptop of HP ENVY TS 15 (product number: E3S19UA #ABA) out crapped and I reinstalled Windows Enterprise 8.1. I downloaded and installed all the drivers from the HP website. When I look at the Panel, I have an "unknown device" and in the audio, video and game controllers, I have an exclamation mark next to the high definition Audio Device.

I installed the HP Support Assistant and let it do its thing. That has not fixed the problem. When I look at the properties for the unknown device, I see the following in detail: "ACPI\HPQ6007\3 & 11583659 & 0" regarding high definition Audio, I see the following in the general tab:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation failed}
    The requested operation failed.

When I try to update the driver software fo the High Definition Audio, I get a message that "Windows has determined the software driver for your device is up to date.

Don't know where to go from here. Any help or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    -Val

    You are the very welcome.

This is defininitely the driver you need and you need to install it manually.

    Run the driver again.

Go to Device Manager and click on the unknown device needing driver.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select Browse my computer for driver software, and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the driver.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp66078.  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

If this does not work, then back to her browse my computer for driver software window and then select Let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer option, then select Have Disk and browse to: C:\SWSetup\sp66078\InstallFiles\Win8_1\accelerometer and select the HP Mobile Data Protection sensor from the list and see if the pilot goes like this.

The HD audio device is the audio device Intel HDMI which could not install when you ran the graphics driver, so run it again and if it does not install, manually install the driver using the same procedure that I posted to the 3D driveguard.

If it doesn't, then I remove the driver and tell you where to get the driver from, as I did for the above device.

    Hi lazy Lady,

    1. What is the brand and model of the audio device?
