No Audio - no audio playback problems

Help!  This issue has been frustrating say the least.

I can't hear sound on my laptop.  The sound icon shows 'cut', however I don't then uncheck the "Mute".

System information:

Dell XPS M1530, Windows Vista Ultimate Service Pack 2.

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 M GT

Device audio controller: SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODE

AUDO Driver: stwrt.sys Verison: 6.10.5866.0000

Comments: By selecting the icon of my bar audio system state, do a right click, open volume mixer, the message shows "no audio device is installed" cannot hear sound when I select songs in ITunes from Apple, not possible to hear the sound when I use Skype, etc..  Any audio playback that I cannot hear.

Measures taken to try to resolve: update drivers, uninstalled the device audio, reinstalled, updated drivers again, etc.

Anyone else run into this?  I can't find the solution between the sea of so many messages in this forum and technical support at Dell tech site...

    Hi Daniel,.

    Thank you for the update.

I can understand the disadvantages because of this.

It's the BIOS that I do not know how to upgrade...

You can find the update of the BIOS on the support of the manufacturer Web site and your manufacturer would be the best support in the BIOS update.

Important: Change BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • How to split Audio tracks

    Hello

Yes, I know I'm a community expert so you powerful wonder why one would be asking here, but not for the elements of the first. This app is new to me!

I have a clip that I inserted in the EP, which was recorded with some odd stereo effect. I hope there is an easy way to listen to regardless of each side of the stereo, to decide which is the more pleasant of the two, then remove the left or the right and fill the object with the same audio channel.

I have not linked to the audio from the video, but am not sure how to proceed from there.

Thanks in advance for any idea!

    See you soon... Rick

    Rick,

Soundbooth should work as well. Have not seen since the days of beta, but it has improved in the sense of hearing, so should it here.

In the Meadow, we need to export the Audio portion only chronology. From 8 PrE and above all, that function is now on the tab share. I don't think that any form of export Audio was kept to the old file > export menu.

I will put up an example here, so that you can see some things that might help, depending on what you have. We will assume that your PrE Timeline a more active, than just this Audio Clip. If this isn't the case, then you can ignore the first part here.

    1. In the timeline panel, the value of the WAB (work area bar) to understand that the domain of this Audio Clip. The share of exports / will be thus limited to only this region.
    2. Go to the tab share and choose computer staff (or similar syntax)
    3. Choose MPEG
    4. Check the work area share only
    5. In Advanced Options, choose Export Audio and deselect export video
    6. On the Audio tab, select PCM. This will result in a PCM/WAV 48 kHz 16-bit file and 2 channels, which will allow you split later.
    7. Tab multiplexer, which should default to None (which you have no video stream), but just look at anyway.
    8. Name and choose the Destination folder
    9. Click Save to export/share this PCM/WAV file

Hope that helps and good luck. Remember, if your Audio file is the total duration of the timeline, skip the first parts, with the WAB and share work area only.

    Hi all

I have problems with my player functions and media browser suddenly - it seems to have taken place after a "significant recent update" (causes more problems than the patches).

In any case, since this update, I was unable to play video or audio files using the media player or cut and paste all the items when sorting of files.

All very well before, but now when I pointed out and click "cut", the timer of the cuts and the window goes right to the "not responding". Drag and drop works OK, then go back to delete files.

Regarding the multimedia files, double-click one and no response, click 'open' and right, once again, nothing...

    Everyone has experienced similar problems?
    Whether a hotfix or patch?

    Thank you very much

From there where I bit you have no problem with the laptop but with Microsoft System.

"Hotmail" isn t produced by Toshiba.
If you have problems connecting to the Hotmail account, you must contact Microsoft technical support for help.

By the way: you can always set the system back to the beginning point of time before receiving updates.
Windows 8 creates a point of restoration automatically when Windows updates and other system maintenance events.

Open charm bar (Win key + c), choose the Apps and search for Restore Point. Then click on settings. On the left side, you will see the option called create a restore point.
New window will open. In the System Protection tab, select the system restore.
Clicking next would lead to the next step when you restore the computer to the State it was before the selected event (windows update).

    (1) try reinstalling the audio drivers from the drivers disk that should
    came with your PC.
    (2) try to do a restore to the point where the problem wasn't there:
Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore
    (3) download and install the latest driver from the manufacturer's website.

Download the KB888111 from Microsoft. Reinstall the audio driver.

This Microsoft Update installs HD audio bus for many, if not all, modern audio controllers on laptops.

    * These are mainly for Windows XP pre - SP3 versions. As Windows XP SP3 has this built-in fix.
