No CD no disc detected

CD & DVD drives have stopped working. My Lite on internal DVD Multi Recorder is defective in recent weeks and now the status bar not eject properly. Using a paper clip right I can open it manually. But that too is not responding correctly. Or I have to replace the internal player or go to an external DVD/CD drive. I wonder if that will solve this problem? Given that my Windows Media Player will not play music even I am confused as why this other problem would that? In addition, if I go with an external recorder/player, I read that you have insert the CD in your drive to run properly... Some say it's just using the PORT USB TO RUN-well I am a little confused with that too. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. BR

Hi kapusta kid,.

1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

2. how many DVD players are connected to the computer?

3. what happens when you try to play music with windows media player?

The tray not opening properly occur usually if the rubber that is used to open the status bar may be lost or damaged.

You can get replace rubber it by contacting the local tech shop before going for a new external drive.

I would also say that you check in Device Manager for the status of the drive.

Also, visit verification of drive manufacturer's website and download the latest update of driver\firmware.

You can also run the tool fixit available in the link below and check if it helps.

I hope this helps!

  • The NAS can be turned on without a disc?

Recently, I took a drive on the NAS that I intend to sell it. Before removing the disc (which is now used in another device), I forgot to put back the NAS to its factory settings to remove my information and data of the NAS. I assumed that the NAS should have a form any internal memory only for the operating system to function. Is this the case? And if so, how to access the NAS? It has been sitting on a flashing power a LED all day and I tried to use the start menu to reset it without success.

If the NAS does not work because it stores the BONES and it has information on the first hard disk, you then install what it means if I insert a new disc, it'll be like setting up from scratch again?

    Thank you

All what you need to do is wipe the drive. If the sale of discs with the NAS some would prefer to make a secure disk erase (you can do this if connect drives to your PC).

A factory default will not work without disks. The purpose of this option of start menu must wipe disks (to wipe all your personal information, all data, settings, all on drives) and do a clean install of the operating system, to create a new volume, etc.

The OS is installed from the flash on the disks. All of your personal information are on the disks. The operating system is installed on both drives so if a broken disk we can still see newspapers etc. on the other disk.

If you look in RAIDar you won't see the error no disc detected.

The flash containing the firmware image content, but also things like the serial number of the device. We do not store any of your personal information at all. The flash is 128 MB, I think. It contains space for the content of the image of the firmware (which are highly compressed) and allows a bit of growth in the size of the firmware image.

We do not use the flash for the early stages of the start-up procedure, but we move quickly to boot from the disc.

Yes, but with the firmware currently on the flash which is the newest firmware you updated. When you update the firmware, it is updated on the flash and installed on the disks.

  • Bootcamp does not start after you have created the new partition

Hi, I accidentally created a new partition on my mac OSX 10.11 and then discovered that my bootcamp would not start. After that, I deleted the partition but the disk for the BOOTCAMP partition identifier was disk0s5 instead of disk0s4. is anyway to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

The disc is now disk0s4, but when I try to boot in bootcamp, it says no bootable disc detected

My 32 gb SanDisk Cruzer Blade was hooked up to an external USB hub. " I then plugged my FlashDrive directly in the USB interface on my Mac. Then I pushed every button on my keyboard, but nothing happened. Hello

The fact is that each player doesn t work with all THE CDs or DVDs.
Sometimes, the most recent firmware update could solve these problems, but you will not get a 100% guarantee that it will work.
I have tested many media and now I decided to use the TDKs CD and DVD.
I m happy because now I have problems with this media.

The only solution is to test the media.

  • CD/DVD drive is not detected, the disc is missing or disconnected

Well I have not tried to play anything or anything either burning on my laptop in a while and all of a sudden is not working more I followed suggestions on the microsoft site, but when I went into Device Manager to check on my drive anywhere it lists same CD-ROM/dvd-rom I'm so confused, I don't know what I tried to use microsoft not fixed and it's just as stuck as I am all he tells me it is than its disconnected or missing and cannot be found.

Oh and while I'm asking questions my sound stopped working a few months back the small volume in the lower right corner icon has an 'x' next to him now and he says: no audio output device is installed, I tried following the suggestions online for this with no luck either. I hope that its not anything internal since I just had the motherboard replaced by a few months before this happened

Thank you very much I hope you can help!

    Hello

Well it still might be hardware or wiring.

Restart to make sure that nothing is inteferring with the process.

Step 1: Please make all underneath the same if you've done it before as it's often the total of the process which
    solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). Therefore, it is not unusual for 1 or 2 rooms with not so work that others do it properly.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are some registry entries
that the troubleshooter does not, and those who "could" be the cause.

Check with your system manufacturer Maker and device for possible firmware updates and the good

Here are the keys in my opinion, are those in question - for the reader of CD/DVD subkeys of course that he will be

  • Blu - ray discs say not detected / supported

How to play blu - ray disc, s keep saying not detected/pick-up of discs

Windows 7 does not natively read Blu - Ray discs of movies/TV support (if that's what you try to do) - you must use the 3rd party software/codecs. Your PC manufacturer may have delivered a program on your PC, like PowerDVD from Cyberlink, so check. If this isn't the case, you need to buy or download something like the free VLC media player.

    * Question: *.
Either classified and recognized in the BIOS HARD drive?
On the first page of the BIOS disk HARD should be listed with details such as the name and the size of the HARD drive.

If his list, then you must run a HARD drive test. You could test the HARD drive by using a freeware tool called Drive Fitness Test.
