  This could mean that Lightroom CC is not supported on your machine.

  Is - this machine is 64 bit or 32 bit?

  I insert a CD, nothing happens.  During the loading of software, I manually use the Explorer to load.

  No, this does not work John.  This is all very confusing.  I finally thought to it (I don't know how) but found a place to download the update, but then to accept my RAW images I also had the Application Download Manager and update that too.  Everything is very confused.  If I had not had a copy of Lightroom ever since first, he went out and had an account with Adobe, I would have probably given upward.  They do everything they can to hide the fact that you can buy stand alone and just keep harping on the cc.  If all goes well with my Nikon and Sony equipment I'm going to upgrade in the near future.  Thanks for your idea if.

  Suggest you convert CR2 raw DNG (Adobe) or purchase LR6. You can get the latest DNG converter for Windows or Mac 9.1 from following link. DNG files will then work with your current software (keep your originals as backups and for use in the software of the camera factory)

• I can't get my new Nikon D 810 raw file to load in Lightroom. I did this same thing for more than a year using a Nikon D800.

  When I go to add my raw files, as I have always said that it cannot read the raw files. I called Nikon one told me that in the D810 raw files are the same as the D800. Something is in place.

  Raw files are not the same as the willing D810 with a different sensor than the D800. The layout of the file may be the same, but this does not mean any software that supports the D800 will support the D810. Adobe has the new camera profile and add calibration profiles and then release an update to Lightroom. ACR 8.6 RC supports the D810, LR 5.6 will support the D810 probably too.   Ive got a portege 3110CT with no operating system installed, there a floppie drive and an external pcmcia cdrom drive, I want to install windows 98 and the works of floppie drive I can boot the pc with a win98 boot disk but the pcmcia CD-ROM does not work, so I can't start windows with cd rom support load on the hard disk im assuming I need a pilot in the back to the spring of rom cd player with life.

  What should I do and how do I go about it try anything as this laptop is a door at the moment and im wanting to know how stop it getting up and running, I would not have a problem if the cdrom drive has worked to switch on.
