  I am trying to set up a printer for my father in law to use his tablet with a new printer

  It uses an Asus Tablet

  He just bought a compatible HP2540 wireless printer

  It features a wireless network put in place in his house - no access direct pc

  Router is old with no wps button to pair the printer and router

  I installed app eprint and can see the printer but when I try to connect - it does not and it asks for a password.  Of course - it is not the wifi password.

  The Android solution do not offer the capabilities of wireless configuration, walkaround, such use the EWS interface to connect the printer to your wireless network:

  1. On the printer control panel, press the HP direct wireless icon () for 3 seconds, a Direct report wireless print, including the password for the Direct wireless network.
  2. On the Android device, tap Settings > Wi - Fi and then select HP-Print - xx-[your printer model name] in the list of available networks. type the password printed on step 1.
  3. Navigate to http://192.168.223.1/.
  4. Select the network tab.
  5. Within the wireless section, select Assistant wireless and follow the steps for me onnecter to your router.
  6. Reconnect the android device save you your router.

  You can now print using the HP ePrint app.

  If the upgrade process sticks or does not respond to 99%, it is better to wait and do nothing for 5 to 6 hours. If there is still no progress to close the Wizard Windows 10 upgrade, restart the computer and try to upgrade following the tips detailed below.
