No communication with the Dell AIO 926 printer.

My Dell, Windows Vista, computer will not communicate with my Dell AIO 926 printer.  I went through the troubleshooting guides and the printer is powered and cables are connected correctly.  I downloaded Windows 'FIX IT' and there is no problems found.  I still cannot print anything on the printer.  I tried printing from Word files and the internet and nothing works.  I went in administrative tools to check that print spool is set to automatic, and running.  I also checked to make sure I have the latest printer driver.  None of this has helped.  Please notify.

It worked before? have you tried the dell diagnostics. There should be a ficility to test the printer, either in the printer driver / utilities or by pressing a sequence of the inclinometer on the printer. Help of the printer Dell could guide you.

    I have a Dell 530 s computer Vista Home Premium and a Dell AIO 926 printer.  For some time now, I had a problem after printing 3 or 4 times that I wll get a message that the printer Interface was lost or something similar.

    I uninstalled the printer and have installed many times online and on the driver CD.  The printer installs and I can print.  However, for Fax or Scan, I have to go the the program and open it.  When I go to programs, Dell printers, Dell Photo Printer AIO926 the only thing it is the uninstaller.

    I really need to be able to scan.

    As you have already reduced to Norton firewall causing the problem.

    It is possible that an exception should be created in Norton firewall to resolve the problem.

    I suggest that first update you the Norton firewall and check if it works.

    If that does not solve the problem, then you will need to contact Symantec for more information about adding exceptions in the Norton firewall.

    After the description of the question, I understand that you can not use Dell photo all-in-one Printer 926, A01 on Windows 8.

    Your printer is not compatible with Windows 8. There is no driver available for Windows 8.

    I suggest to uninstall the printer drivers, then restart the computer. Once you are finished, press Windows + R and type wuapp then check for Windows update. Install all important and optional updates and check.

    If the problem persists then I suggest to unplug the printer, then restart your computer. Download the 32-bit drivers for Windows 8 32 bit Vista or 64-bit drivers for 64 bit Vista Windows 8. Install the Vista drivers in Vista compatibility mode. You will get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at the moment (power on).

    My 5 year old AIO 926 prints of email, Word, excel, etc..  And it is used to copy a page on the glass without problem.

    For the last 5-6 months where using the copy of the format, it tilts a vertical column starting 5 inches from the left margin to 6 inches, how it start printing correctly on the right margin.  This is consistent from top to bottom, as something covered that part of the page on the glass.

    I uninstalled the printer 2 times, downloaded the driver of many times and reset the command offset printer as well, but nothing doesn't solve this problem.  The printer works fine for files sent by the PC, I suppose that it is not a problem with cartridges.  I'm not a PC guru and utilization of my setup only for fairly mundane personal stuff, so probably miss me something complicated (for me) that I could try.  Can I get help in simple language for someone at the level of expertise "of the PC for Dummies"?   Thank you.   Email responses would be appreciated: ADMIN NOTE: identification of Email deleted by privacy policy >

    As we tried all the steps above, it seems to be a hardware failure. Based on my experience of the belt scan starting jams by causing this issue a bit.

    You can consider replacing the printer.

    Once you've gone to R150575 folder and open, you should see all these files as below:

    Right-click on the Setup file that I've highlighted in the picture above, and then click Properties. Once you have clicked on properties, you should get a window like below:

    Now, once you are in the Compatibility tab, you can make the following changes and then run the Setup file to install the printer driver.

    Ello - first of all, let me ask if there is a fee involved to belong to the community of Dell? Then, as a loyal Dell customer, I recently got a wireless Dell Inspiron One computer. My question is: can be used as a printer "connected" with this computer the Dell AIO 966 printer wireless by plugging the printer cable USB in one of the USB ports on the Inspiron One wireless computer? (I'm not interested to get an Etheron connector for Dell 966 wireless and try to connect wireless, there are too many problems on the blog on what works well 'connected', but not as a wireless network).     Yes, this printer has wireless capabilities.

    First run, delete print jobs to eliminate any print job stuck in the queue.

    Unplug the printer.

    Download and run the patch (cleaning printer utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

    Restart your computer. Make sure that the printer is deleted. Driver Manual printer removal

    Download the 32-bit drivers for Vista for Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64 bit Vista. Install the drivers for Vista in the new facility to choose the compatibility mode in Vista, network and follow the instructions.
