No devices under Max

Hello again everyone.

I looked through the other posts and have tried all suggested without a bit of luck. (other that a complete uninstall, re - install)

I'm forced by my Department to upgrade systems to Windows 7 64-bit and a computer Lenovo ThinkCentre shinny new M series.

My problem is with MAX v5.0.  I have a PCIe-6351 and a PCI-6052E installed in the system, windows recognizes the card and according to the Device Manager, everything works fine.  The problem is that devices are not appear in MAX under the tree of devices and Interfaces.  I'm refreshing the tree and it is said, it is looking, but he never finds anything.  I used the tools > Reset Configuration option and have nothing done.

Could there be a security features that are installed that may stop MAX from the voting systems hardware correctly?  Only, I only ask because I was told that some hard enough security practices will be implemented with the new computers, I am about to receive.

I gained administrative rights and run MAX under an administrator account, but still no luck.

This is a new installation and I received no errors, everything seemed to install correctly.

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Your help is as always, very much appreciated.

Steven M.

Well, my problem is solved. MAX recognizes all my devices and everything works as it should.  The solution is a bit anti-climatic

The source of the problem was that NEITHER System Web Server (NiApplicationWebServer) service did not, who stopped the mDNS responder service of the race, which, in turn, stopped the service of charger OR to run.

Try to manually start the MSDN OR system Web Server & National Instruments that service would result in an error 1075, you try to start the device loader neither resulted an error 1068.

My Department of systems had no ideas on what safety measures or protection of viruses on their end parameters might be the cause of the problem.

Solution:

Control Panel > programs > programs and features > National Instruments software > uninstall / change > measure Automation & Explorer > repair.

After the repair, everything works fine, and all of the above services are running.

The installation process has shown without errors or problems, so I am at a loss as to why he needed repair.  But whatever it is, problem solved.

  • 802.11 wireless pen drive recognized as 'unknown device' under USB. Help, please.

Specs: Windows XP Home Edition version 2002, Service Pack 2. This is the version of XP OEM. Processor Intel pentium 4 2.00 GHz. 1.50 GB of ram.

After an unknown incident (i suspect headphones usb), my wireless USB key has ceased to be recognized as such and become everything simply an "unknown device" under "USB bus controllers. Although windows tells me there is no drivers for the device installed, the wireless pen drive is signed with the Publisher of Microsoft Windows with a version of driver 5.1.2600.0, Microsoft being the driver provider.

Compound number, the 802.11 device is listed under "Other devices" when 'show hidden devices' is selected and the variable "devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices" entered "environment variables", but is washed out-showing that the system thinks that the device is not currently connected to the computer. In addition, under details, it displays error code 45: the device is not connected to the computer. And it is. It's very hip. as cement and connected tape.

I plugged the wireless key USB in all the usb ports on the computer, every time with her recognized as 'unknown device' under usb controllers. I entered in the safe mode, uninstalled all the usb controllers and root usb hub drivers and let windows the respawn after reboot in order to solve the problem. No dice.

I also plugged the USB in a different desktop and it works like a charm, so the issue is not with the hardware.

Clearly there that a conflict with drivers/registry/God knows what, but I'm at a loss. Somehow, windows has taken its decision and the player associated with "unknown device" and I see no way to make the system "forget" that the USB was never connected. How can I remove the ghost driver "unknown device" manually or force windows to re-associate the key wireless USB with "other devices" (with the yellow? mark) and not this useless usb driver "unknown device"?

    Thanks for the help!

  • My HP DVD/ROM does not appear in the device under my computer Manager or when I scan for readers.

My HP DVD/ROM does not appear in the device under my computer Manager or when I scan for readers, most of the time.  Every now and then it will be visible and I can use it but 90% of the time it does not exist.  I tried the regedit fix, nothing.  I tried the program Microsoft Fix It, it tells me it cannot locate a DVD/ROM.  I removed, cleaned and reinserted my DVD/ROM drive, but no difference.  I tried everything, except the upgrade to Windows 7... who will be my last resort.

    Hello gargoyle28m,

If your hardware is not detected to upgrade to Windows 7 is not a resolution. This issue may be caused if the DVD drive is faulty or connections loose on the mother board. You may need to check the connections. I suggest you check if the DVD drive works on another computer. You can contact the manufacturer of your computer to help you with this problem.

  • Cannot simulate devices in MAX

    Hi all

By train to try to simulate the card PCI-6503 using MAX and when I expand the tree 'Devices and Interfaces', I don't see any options to create any simulated device. I installed the software is:

    (1) DAQmx 9.9

    (2) MAX 5.6

    (3) Labview 2012 Evaluation Version - I used to have the full version, but just, my license has expired so now it's in trial mode.

    (4) NEITHER VISA 5.2

I was able to simulate devices in the past without problem and have not changed anything software wise on my computer until the catch-up DAQmx yesterday to see if this is what was causing the problem (apparently it wasn't ) all that I'm missing here?

    Thanks in advance!

We will try... Under tools try to reset your DAQmx data.

  • Strange device under shared

This morning, I noticed that in addition to the other two computers in the House I also have a device with a generic icon showing under shared in the sidebar of the Finder. His name is brw904xxxxxx (xxxxx are numbers more I'm leaving aside just in case they might reveal something sensible). There are other wireless devices in the House including a PlayStation 4 and Sonos speakers, but they have been around for centuries. This camera just showed this morning and I know that this is not something belonging to neighbors because they are the snowbirds and won't be back for a few weeks yet. Any ideas what it is?

    Hello dwb,.

Maybe you have a brother printer? I found another thread on Apple Support communities where another user had the same problem. I hope this helps. Maybe you can also try looking at the MAC address of your printer (that is of course if you do not have a brother printer) and check to see if it corresponds to the top. - Mystery PC showing in Shared tab on the sidebar

  • Is it possible to simulate a XNET CAN device in MAX?

I ordered one material OR 2 ports 9860-selectable OR XNET C Series Module and 2-wire transceiver capable of CAN - FD.  Of course, my time line for implementation is tight.  I would like to write the driver I need before that happens the hw.  For the many materials OR I can go to MAX and simulate the device.  It seems that this option is not available for communication devices series like the one I ordered.

Is it possible to simulate my device in order to create a session and debug my driver?

    Thank you

    Mick

    Hi sherlieferdilus,

There is no way to simulate actual XNET like DAQ hardware modules. For our simulated DAQ hardware, we are able to return dummy data (for example, a simple sinusoid to the analog inputs), but XNET will have something completely different on all buses and behave differently on this basis. More, to use a XNET database for tests must be frames or signals corresponding to the information contained in the database from your CAN Bus.

That being said, OR XNET is fairly simple to use with a large number of examples in our search example LabVIEW for you to investigate and begin to work from. Also, you should be able to start working on your OR-XNET database, if you have not already and that you plan to use a (this is required by all Sessions of XNET except framework flow Sessions). If you are not already familiar with XNET, I would take this time to study some of the examples and take the time to view our material OR XNET and the manual of the software. In particular, learn about the different types of Session and the types of synchronization you can use so that you are already familiar with them once you receive your material.

  • How can you add a device in MAX after getting the error 200220

    Hello

I get the following error message when I start my datalogging software

When I opened MAX, I noticed that the device NOR I use (USB-TC01) is not listed.

Someone out there would be able to let me know how to add the TC01 device? I know that I need to go to the icon "create new" devices and Interfaces, but do not know how to proceed after that. I get the next screen but not sure what to select.

I use the 9.0.2 version of NOR-DAQmx driver on Windows XP operating system.

    Thanks for your time,

    Kevin

You may need to update your DAQmx driver.

    Look at this page.  http://sine.NI.com/PSP/app/doc/p/ID/PSP-916/lang/en

All versions of DAQmx listed are more recent than the 9.0.2 you use.

Also, take a look at this message thread.  http://forums.NI.com/T5/instrument-control-GPIB-Serial/NI-USB-TC01-not-found/m-p/1454196?requireLogi... which seems to confirm.

  • Cannot find the Touchpad settings to allow scrolling. Touchpad are not not as a device under the mouse settings. Help.

I usually use a USB mouse, as it is easier for me than a touchpad, but mine a. kaput! So, now I'm trying to use my touchpad and I can't scroll. It has arrows on the right side and it used to make scroll... but now it doesn't. I do not remember turning this setting OFF... but when I try to see if there is a setting I can change I can not even find the Touchpad as a device. When I go into the properties of the mouse, I get a message "unable to connect to the Synaptics pointing device driver. I thought you could say that because I unplugged the USB mouse, but now I'm not sure.

When I go to the mouse, then material he mentions "Synaptics PS/2 Port Pointing Device. It says plugged in the mouse PS/2 port and the device works correctly. There is no devices listed under device settings. In addition, there is an option to display the icon in the taskbar (it used to be there... don't know what happened) but I can't click on it or the other tray icon options.

I have a Gateway M152s laptop. Any suggestions? Reinstall a driver or something?

    Help is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!!!

    Hello

Check with the Gateyway support, documentation in line, or forums that there is probably Hotkeys
that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

    Gateway drivers and downloads.
    http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/dlcenter.asp

Also check the control - Mouse - touchpad settings panel.

    You can also try this:

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touchpad - the driver tab-
Click on update driver (it comes may not do anything like MS is far behind the drivers of certification), now right CLICK
on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL. Even if the touch pad is not displayed, do the rest.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.

Here is the similar procedure in XP, Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device
    If it is present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then navigate to the site of the manufacturer of the system (gateway downloads - access your model - listed above) and down
    the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

    ================================================

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with TouchPad entered)
and some come with a utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock in the bottom right.

    I hope this helps.

  • New x120e - "Unknown device" under USB controllers

OK, so I'll try again from Firefox this time.

For the first time poster, so please, be gentle. I recently ordered and received a x120e. The first time startup in Windows, the ThinkVantage Toolbox had a yellow exclamation point. To study more, I determined that it was due to an "unknown device" listed in the Windows Device Manager under USB controllers.

I installed all the Windows updates available, and unknown device problem. When you open the device in Device Manager, the Statute indicates that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) ». The associated driver is usbfilter.sys, and if I try to update, it tells me that my current driver file is already up-to-date.

If anyone can help with this question? I'd appreciate it - nothing worse than making a brand new machine with a hardware problem!
