Cannot simulate devices in MAX

Hi all

By train to try to simulate the card PCI-6503 using MAX and when I expand the tree 'Devices and Interfaces', I don't see any options to create any simulated device. I installed the software is:

(1) DAQmx 9.9

(2) MAX 5.6

(3) Labview 2012 Evaluation Version - I used to have the full version, but just, my license has expired so now it's in trial mode.

(4) NEITHER VISA 5.2

I was able to simulate devices in the past without problem and have not changed anything software wise on my computer until the catch-up DAQmx yesterday to see if this is what was causing the problem (apparently it wasn't ) all that I'm missing here?

Thanks in advance!

We will try... Under tools try to reset your DAQmx data.

    Hello

When you get the message DNS server responds not?

You can approach this problem in two ways: first by simply disabling the cache, but also by restarting DNS client service, which manages the cached DNS queries.

    Method 1

    Clear DNS Cache

    (a) click Startand then type cmd in the Start Search box.

    (b) right click on cmd in the programs list and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue.

    (c) at the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER:

    ipconfig/flushdns

Usually, it clears up any issue that may occur.

    Method 2

    Restart the Service DNS service

    (a) click Start, clickrun, type services.msc, and then clickOK.

    (b) double-click the DNS Client service. If you receive a Configuration Manager message, click OK.

    (c) in the Startup Type list, click on restart and then clickOK.

    (d) Community Services.

    (e) restart the computer.

    Method 3

Configure the connection to obtain an IP address automatically.

    (a) click on 'Start', enter 'NCPA.» CPL"(sans guillemets) in the Start Search bar and press"Enter"."

    (b) right click on the network connection, and then click "Properties". If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    (c) highlight "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" and click 'properties '.

    (d) check "obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically".

    (e) click on 'OK '.

    (f) click Select 'Protocol Internet Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)' and then click 'properties '.

    (g) check "obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically".

    (h) click on 'OK '.

    (i) restart the computer.

Still cannot run Premiere Pro 2015 because 'Cannot find device of appropriate reading' is always on display. I can run PP 2014 and all programs of cloud 2015 but not PP2015. When I got this error, I had a mid-2012 Mac Pro running El Capitan 10.11.2 and an Apple ATI Radeon HD5770.  You can't update the drivers with Apple, but El Capitan should have giving me the latest video drivers.

First try to open but after loading everything it errored out with the "can't find a video playback device adapted." A very cryptic message in my way of thinking. They mean the monitor, video card or what?  In any case, I decided that I must have my video card, so I bought a 4 GB Nvidia GTX 970 MacCards.com card, put it in and got the latest drivers for it, than MacCards.com current guard.  This resulted in no gain. Always the same result right along with the exact error even after loading the PP2015.

I reinstalled PPCC2015 yesterday and it still loads but never opens and gives me the same error.  I feel like even if I bought a new MacPro and reloaded all software CC, I'd still have the same result. Very depressed of not being able to run the software I pay for every month.

  • Is it possible to simulate a XNET CAN device in MAX?

I ordered one material OR 2 ports 9860-selectable OR XNET C Series Module and 2-wire transceiver capable of CAN - FD.  Of course, my time line for implementation is tight.  I would like to write the driver I need before that happens the hw.  For the many materials OR I can go to MAX and simulate the device.  It seems that this option is not available for communication devices series like the one I ordered.

Is it possible to simulate my device in order to create a session and debug my driver?

    Thank you

    Mick

    Hi sherlieferdilus,

There is no way to simulate actual XNET like DAQ hardware modules. For our simulated DAQ hardware, we are able to return dummy data (for example, a simple sinusoid to the analog inputs), but XNET will have something completely different on all buses and behave differently on this basis. More, to use a XNET database for tests must be frames or signals corresponding to the information contained in the database from your CAN Bus.

That being said, OR XNET is fairly simple to use with a large number of examples in our search example LabVIEW for you to investigate and begin to work from. Also, you should be able to start working on your OR-XNET database, if you have not already and that you plan to use a (this is required by all Sessions of XNET except framework flow Sessions). If you are not already familiar with XNET, I would take this time to study some of the examples and take the time to view our material OR XNET and the manual of the software. In particular, learn about the different types of Session and the types of synchronization you can use so that you are already familiar with them once you receive your material.

  • Cannot delete the cDaq MAX devices

I got a new device cDaq today and plugged into pc.

It appears in MAX as cDAQ4 as I have already had 3 more before all shipped to a customer.

The question is how can I delete the old ones on MAX.

If I choose to remove by a right click or button on a panel of MAX, he asked me if I would like to remove it but nothing happened after that.

I could remove devices in a chassis in this way, but not the frame itself.

I tried to restart MAX after that and the devoces are still there. Did not attempt to restart the PC again, but don't think it would help.

What is the solution of this problem.

    Hi Sergey,

Is - this never happened to you before? What version of MAX, DAQmx and which OS are you using? If it's Windows XP, have you recently installed a Service Pack? Here are a few steps you can try:

    (1) open the Task Manager and ensure that there are no running LabVIEW or VI applications, that is sure to try to communicate with the device (although you would your cDAQ unplugged from your PC in any case)

    2) go to add/remove programs in the Control Panel, down to National Instruments software, click on edit, select the DAQmx driver and click on repair.

    (3) then try to remove the cDAQ, it can work.

Otherwise, it could be a corrupted Max database, in this case you can follow the steps described in the following KB that you will guide them in creating a database MAX: How can I clean corrupted MAX Database and start with a new One?

Please let me know if one of these help to solve the problem.

  • Cannot delete device tree configuration switchblock

I physically removed several unused switchblock of 2800 carrier cards, they appear in red x in MAX configuration tree, but there is no option to delete or remove the devices from the tree.  Online help says right-click on the name of the device and select Remove, but there is no option to delete in the menu.

    Hi Bholsinger,

Thank you for bringing this to us.

We tabled an error report (CAR # 609019) to address and solve this problem.

I can't guarantee when it will get taken care of, but it is on the radar of the dev team.

In the meantime we have two solutions of workarounds for the problem:

    • Remove and re-add the SwitchBlock together carrier
      1. Shut down the system and remove the bracket SwitchBlock

      2. Turn on the system and delete the MAX carrier

      3. Turn the system pulling back and insert the carrier with the desired modules

      4. When you re - fuel system, you can reconfigure the carrier as you wish

    * If you have configuration data (the names of custom device, scales, tasks, etc.). I would highly recommend you to export your configuration data (file > Export).  You can then edit the file to remove SwitchBlock items you want.  Then restart the system, you can import the file (file > import).  Otherwise, you will need to re-create all your custom data after reset the database.

I personally recommend the first option because it is the simplest, but please let us know if any of these options works for you. I know that they are not ideal, but I hope that you find them satisfactory in the meantime

    Best regards

  • No devices under Max

    Hello again everyone.

I looked through the other posts and have tried all suggested without a bit of luck. (other that a complete uninstall, re - install)

I'm forced by my Department to upgrade systems to Windows 7 64-bit and a computer Lenovo ThinkCentre shinny new M series.

My problem is with MAX v5.0.  I have a PCIe-6351 and a PCI-6052E installed in the system, windows recognizes the card and according to the Device Manager, everything works fine.  The problem is that devices are not appear in MAX under the tree of devices and Interfaces.  I'm refreshing the tree and it is said, it is looking, but he never finds anything.  I used the tools > Reset Configuration option and have nothing done.

Could there be a security features that are installed that may stop MAX from the voting systems hardware correctly?  Only, I only ask because I was told that some hard enough security practices will be implemented with the new computers, I am about to receive.

I gained administrative rights and run MAX under an administrator account, but still no luck.

This is a new installation and I received no errors, everything seemed to install correctly.

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Your help is as always, very much appreciated.

    Steven M.

Well, my problem is solved. MAX recognizes all my devices and everything works as it should.  The solution is a bit anti-climatic

The source of the problem was that NEITHER System Web Server (NiApplicationWebServer) service did not, who stopped the mDNS responder service of the race, which, in turn, stopped the service of charger OR to run.

Try to manually start the MSDN OR system Web Server & National Instruments that service would result in an error 1075, you try to start the device loader neither resulted an error 1068.

My Department of systems had no ideas on what safety measures or protection of viruses on their end parameters might be the cause of the problem.

    Solution:

Control Panel > programs > programs and features > National Instruments software > uninstall / change > measure Automation & Explorer > repair.

After the repair, everything works fine, and all of the above services are running.

The installation process has shown without errors or problems, so I am at a loss as to why he needed repair.  But whatever it is, problem solved.

  • How can you add a device in MAX after getting the error 200220

    Hello

I get the following error message when I start my datalogging software

When I opened MAX, I noticed that the device NOR I use (USB-TC01) is not listed.

Someone out there would be able to let me know how to add the TC01 device? I know that I need to go to the icon "create new" devices and Interfaces, but do not know how to proceed after that. I get the next screen but not sure what to select.

I use the 9.0.2 version of NOR-DAQmx driver on Windows XP operating system.

    Thanks for your time,

    Kevin

You may need to update your DAQmx driver.

    Look at this page.  http://sine.NI.com/PSP/app/doc/p/ID/PSP-916/lang/en

All versions of DAQmx listed are more recent than the 9.0.2 you use.

Also, take a look at this message thread.  http://forums.NI.com/T5/instrument-control-GPIB-Serial/NI-USB-TC01-not-found/m-p/1454196?requireLogi... which seems to confirm.

The camera I use is a 34405A agilent.  It is connected via USB to a windows XP computer.  I was running my software from one day to the next.  When I came back I got an error saying that it could not communicate with the device.  I looked at MAX, and there was a new SN in the name of the resource.  After that I have repowered the agilent, the correct SN is back.  Can someone explain to me what happened?

    MAX Version 4.6

I found the problem and the solution to my problem.  The problem was the Agilent I used, I have reserached the firmware of this device history and there is a known issue that was be fixed in an update.  After you Flash the firmware, I got no problem with the Agilent.  Thanks for the help.

    Hello

I don't think you have dynamic PAT configured for traffic from the VPN Client user who is supposed to browse the Internet through the connection WAN ASAs.

    Try adding

    NAT (outside) 1 10.47.60.0 255.255.255.0

Also, the "packet-tracer" you question is not simulate the connection from the VPN Client. The user of the VPN Client is not behind the 'inside' interface and the Clients VPN address space does not include the IP 10.47.70.20.

When the Client VPN connection is active, you can use the command "packet - trace"

    entry Packet-trace out tcp 10.47.60.x 12345 8.8.8.8 80

While of course, replace 'x' with the real IP that the user got to the ASA
