No display in Device Manager driver

Original title: the drivers for my laptop will not install

I just reinstalled Windows 7 to my computer and once I got all the drivers I had everything was fine. However, when I turned on my computer this morning I discovered that my NVIDIA display driver was no longer my main driver. Then I tried to go to the control panel NVIDIA to make it my primary and, since its opening, it crashed. So I tried to re - install the NVIDIA Control Panel and the driver and the two cannot install, the driver saying access denied. Now, when I go into the Device Manager, it is not even appear under display drivers. So, I turned off my computer and took out battery and put it again. When I turned it on several other of my devices have shown by saying that their were no drivers installed for them. I tried to use MicrosoftFixIt nothing works. I bought this computer a few weeks ago and I really wish it was fixed without having to spend hundreds of dollars to fix. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Robert,.

This problem may occur because of problems with the graphics card drivers.

Please help me with the following information related to this issue:

  1. What is the brand and model of your computer?
  2. What is the exact model of your NVidia graphics card?
  3. Did you receive an error message when you tried to open the NVIDIA Control Panel?
  4. How do you re - install NVIDIA Control Panel and the driver?

I suggest go either visit your computer manufacturer's Web site or the NVidia site and install the latest version of the graphics driver and check.

You can view the following link to download and install the graphics card drivers according to the model/serial number:

My optical drive does not show in the "Device Manager", the eject button does not work - I can only eject through the pin hole.

This means that the drivers are missing or that the disc is broken?

Its possible the drive has failed. Is this an internal or an external drive? In both cases, make sure that all cables are properly connected and functional, including the power cables. If its a USB external drive then try another USB port.

But, assuming that you tried to update the drivers (get the latest compatible drivers on the manufacturers for your brand/model/OS(32/64 bit) PC support site and install to see if that helps - first set a system restore point)) and then see if this MS article helps - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems?wa=wsignin1.0

The Realtek RT8187B is the WiFi card in Notepad.

You should try to update the driver. Search on the WIFI portal for an update:

More updated the BIOS to the latest version. You can find it on the Toshiba site:

    Any ideas greatly appreciated.

    Hello

You said that the WLan card is not listed in Device Manager?
    Did you check that exactly?

Usually the WLan card must appear in Manager devices-> network adapters.
You don't see any yellow exclamation?

But to be honest, this story sounds really amazing.
Have you used the good BIOS? On the Toshiba European driver page are 2 different Tecra M9 series listed and these two different series supports different versions of the BIOS!
And the wrong version of BIOS that may affect the functionality of laptops!

  • OfficeJet 7310: Reported Device Manager driver missing for printer Officejet 7310

I used the full setting install software downloaded from the HP site to set up a printer Officejet 7310 on a Lenovo laptop, T540p with OS 64 - bit Windows 8.1.  Installation and printer seem to work fine since I can print and I can also scan from the HP Solution Center utility.  However, Device Manager reports two errors/anomalies as follows.

Under the heading 'Multifunction cards' the Officejet 7300 series properties shows the status of the device such as:
This device is disabled. (Code 22)
Click Enable device to enable this device.

To the title of the theOfficejet 7300 series entry 'Other devices' properties shows the status of the device as:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no compatible driver for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click Update driver.

I find this a little confusing, because I believe that the installation of the software is supposed to include the pilot, as well as the printer seems to function (which could be due to default Microsoft drivers).

Any thoughts on how things are in this State and how to recover would be deeply appreciated as I prefer not to "ignore" error messages.

    Thank you

    Glenn

Well, I finally got a moment for all dismantle and reinstall according to the suggested procedure.  The offending Device Manager entry disappears not directly as a result of using the tools Microsoft and CCleaner, but after these steps in the process, I was able to remove the entry from the device.  I suspect that the registry was somehow blocked upward and demelee enough tools stuff for me to delete the entry.

The relocation went well, but unfortunately, I misread the part about the reference of USB and initially installed with a USB connection.  I had to go back and add the network connection, which was not a problem.  I wonder if I can remove the USB from the printer through devices and printers instance while keeping the Solutions Center HP happy on the network printer instance.

Thanks again for the detailed procedure.

    Kind regards
    Glenn

If so, the only thing you can try is to restore the factory deafult your OS (reinstall) and check to see if the network cards.

If this is not the case, there is probably a hardware problem.

  • PA: Uninstalled my webcam drivers and now webcam is missing from Device Manager

    Hello

I had trouble with my webcam I decided to uninstall the driver to try reinstalling one from scratch.

The problem is that now my webcam is still not displayed in Device Manager, so I can't access its settings to try to update the driver.

It was a very stupid thing to do, and now I don't know what to do...

    Thanks in advance!

    Cecilia

    Hi Cecilia,.

Unless you have already done, the first thing I would say is just to reboot the laptop and see if Windows RE-discovered the Webcam and load a driver for it.

If this does not work, try to run the system restore to return the machine to a point in time before that you deleted the windows driver - see Option 2 below.

  • Device Manager does not recognize the internal WLAN card

I have a laptop HP/Compaq Presario V6200CTO which has an internal wifi card. The wifi worked perfectly until about a week ago, when Windows 7 has ceased to recognize the card altogether. I thouhgt first it was a hardware problem and that the card had died and so I bought a USB adapter, but before the arrival of the adapter that I needed to start in SafeMode w/network (I used adapter Linksys a friend). When OS safe mode entered it automatically loaded the driver "Broadcom", installed the wifi device internal and it worked fine while I was in safe mode. After the system restarts the operating system has yet to recognize the internal card. I rebooted in SafeMode once again, but still the card was not recognized. It seems unlikely that a dead card came suddenly to life for the short period of time I was in safe mode, and then quickly died again on restart. Therefore, I think it is an OS problem, but as the map is not displayed in Device Manager I have no idea how to proceed. N USB adapter I bought works fine, but I'd rather be able to use the internal card and free USB port. Is there a way to load the device from the command line or in a way to force the operating system to find the map?

Lack of maps can often work for short periods. Then, some components overheating or falls down and they stop working.
