  I think you should remove your POP account first and then create a new IMAP.

  That's the whole point, to use the IMAP protocol on the phone as well.

  Do not know what makes reference to tell you and you want to install an add-on in the first place. I got the iPhone expect IMAP support out of the box. Is Thunderbird.

• BlackBerry Leap Email Folders synchronization

  Sorry if this has been asked and replied.  I've searched and couldn't find a specific answer.

  BB jump on the Telus using Shaw Webmail network for e-mail.  Four accounts put in place on the appliance and the operation.

  When I go into settings > accounts > change account > change file on e-mail settings, all the folders ffrom my Shaw Webmail accounts are listed, but the top 5 of them are greyed and inactive so I can't go to them.  Some of those greyed are enabled for synchronization and I want to disable them.  I want only Inbox to be synchronized.  How?

  If (you did not) these four folders are Inbox, drafts, Outbox, and sent items, you don't have a choice... so that the device works properly, it must synchronize these four folders. Depending on your type of e-mail server (EAS vs IMAP vs POP... even once, you didn't), the required records may also include the trash (for a total of five).

  The basic response is that if the e-mail folder is grayed and not adjustable by you, then it is necessary depending on the type of email account. But if the greyed records are NOT reasons that I mentioned above, then something can happen with your situation, for which you will need to provide more details so that we can best guess.

• The my folder view and all Emails are invisible on the backup PC

  I use Thunderbird for several years and a year and a half ago moved my TB *.default folder to a folder in Dropbox so that my email would synchronize no matter if I used my "daily driver" iMac, or backup PC running XP. Of course I properly edited the path to the new folder *.default"in the file profile.ini for each machine. It really worked slick, as it should.

  Although the PC gets started on every two weeks on average, I have to use Thunderbird on this, since I have upheld that it functioned normally by above - until now. I'm having a problem of material with my iMac, so I launched Thunderbird on the PC, and the folders pane, although there is now totally empty. The message pane shows no message, and when I click on 'Read Messages', nothing happens - does not change the view. Similarly, by selecting "Message pane - or overlay F8 - does nothing. There is no error pop up on launch. The folders pane is selected in the drop-down menu, and I've exhausted all options possible view and still can not all records (XP is completely up-to-date, end of support by way of derogation and I keep the antivirus updated PC and run on a regular basis.) Given that the PC is barely used, I very rarely found no problem with it.)

  When I open the error Console I see errors in the following lines: 784, 131, 250, 287, 2432, 287 and 300. I tried to copy and paste here, but it does not work (is there a way to save the error report in a text file?)

  It would be really nice to solve this problem so that I can use Thunderbird on my PC until I can get my iMac fixed. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

  I have just removed & re-installed TB, edited profiles.ini properly, and now everything is fine! Probably should have try this 1st (20/20 with hindsight and all that...)

  POP email is simply a mechanism to download on the local computer of the Inbox.

  IMAP is a synchronized email that synchronizes the mail on the server in the folder with a local client.

  My guess is you have correctly identified the Thunderbird as a POP account, it was alll Hotmail provided in a year or two previously, so if you had set up the account for a few years then it will almost certainly POP.

  You can configure the account once again as IMAP account in Thunderbird and get all your synchronized folders.

  In the toolbar > hover your mouse over the entrance to the new Message, until another menu appears > existing e-mail account

  Follow the prompts to assistants to add the account again. Post back before you delete your old account, because that can lead to loss of mail if not done correctly, depending on how it is implemented.

  It seems that you should have to ask for support for your question to start with your home page, rather than "delete all" and reinstall Firefox. It would have been easy enough to fix wit our help, but now it seems that your personal data may not be recoverable.

  The recovery key for the old 1.0 version of synchronization can be used a Firefox 29 or later version that uses Sync 1.5. All you need to connect a 'new device' Sync / Firefox accounts is the email address synchronization account (username) and the sync account password.

  Be aware that if you change your synchronization password, your data is deleted from the synchronization servers.

  They do not go... unless you set an autoBCC on all the emails sent from your BlackBerry (you can do on your site of BIS connection where you configure the e-mail account). Then, in outlook, set a filter that all incoming emails with your e-mail address as sender go into your folder of mail electronics outlook sent.

  I have a Treo 680 and use Palmdesktop for synchronization. I activated an ActiveSync account on the e-mail on the Treo (Versamail) program, because I wanted to be able to sync my e-mail (Outlook).

  This allowed me to wireless (via GPRS, Edge) synchronize my email on my desktop Outlook - worked like a charm.

  In fact also to sync my calendar that I created only this account ActiveSync to synchronize with the Outlook mail only.

  I have two questions:

  1. I can not synchronize contacts or calendar items more with Palm Desktop - I uninstalled palmdesktop and re-installed but still can't sync contacts or calendar items. Could someone help me to be able to synchronize with Palmdesktop again.

  2. is it possible to ONLY synchronize my Outlook email (not necessarily wireless, but the USB cable is fine) AND also be able to sync with PalmDesktop? If this is not possible I would appreciate if you can tell me how to get Palmdesktop sync even once with my camera and find out if there is another way (maybe better) to synchronize emails - better both wireless and USB cable.

  Hello..  Welcome to the forums of Palm...  What you did set up versamail to synchronize with an exchange server.  It's supposed to be done wireless and will synchronize the calendar, Contacts and emails.  Once you set up you have locked these three elements wireless to your exchange server, and they are all blocked 3 now able to sync them through the cable.  There is no way to synchronize only by e-mail through your exchange server.  If you want contacts or calendar to synchronize via the cable, then you will need to remove the EAS configuration in versamail that would eliminate your email and synchronization.  Its all or nothing unfortunately.
