No in the Satellite C50D-B CMOS battery

My Toshiba C50D-B does not remember that numlock is out and continues over time if the battery is removed or no.
Then, the laptop starts by saying that the battery is low.
So I wanted to replace the battery, but I could not find.
In the manual there is no talk of replacing the cmos battery.
And when I look at the Board (after the opening of the back) I can't find not all batteries.
I can find an empty place in the motherboard, which suggests that there should be a battery, but it is not a connection to it.

How do I replace the battery or is it not possible? In the latter case, it's a shame, because things don't work properly.
I have the laptop a year, but now I am so tired of correct every time that the NumLock and occasionally the time/date, I want to solve this problem.

The empty CMOS battery didn't need to be replaced...
You need to load it again.
How?

It's easy... you need to connect the power adapter and the laptop must be turned on for at least 18-20 hours
After the battery has been fully charged, the CMOS battery will start to load too.

  • Loss of the battery when the Satellite C50D - off A00L

    Hello world

I was hoping that someone could help me. I recently bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite C50D - A00L that came with Windows 8 is installed.

I have trouble with the loss of the laptop battery power when it is turned off.
I had a full load and off, but when I turned it back three days later he was up to 50% of power.
I had spent it in airplane mode (I was off internet reception) to try to stop the loss of power - the case wherever he was somehow looking for information for apps.

I am all of these ideas, and I was wondering if it was something to do with my laptop or something that happens frequently with laptops in general.
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hello
There are some some options and settings that should be checked.
First access the BIOS by pressing the F2 key and in the BIOS settings disable the Wake Up on LAN option. In most cases disabling this setting you would help prevent losses of battery power.

Secondly I recommend that you perform a complete shutdown of Windows 8 (or Win 8.1)
The system of Windows 8 keeps Notepad by default, but it defines the hybrid unit stop mode.

Please check this document how to perform complete stop down.

  • Is Word or similar software installed on the Satellite C50D-A-12V?

Unfortunately, I have a Toshiba Satellite C50D-A-12V; can you please inform me if there is a FREE document program, either Microsoft Word or similar, installed in this piece of *, or am I expected to pay more money to Microsoft in order to subscribe to the word?

Don't get me wrong, this is the last time I ever buy a Toshiba product. I used computers for two decades, and it is by far the most overvalued, backward, no device has ever been my misfortune to touch.

    I expect an immediate response.

To be honest, I don't understand what your problem is but with a good OS optimization, you can have very good machine for 'daily activities. What you have is the machine of mid range with 'an average performance' only.

Back to your question: it is unclear to me that Microsoft gives desktop for free. What you can get with your machine's Office trial version that you can use for 60 days only. Later, you must pay for the license code.

If you need free software, download 'Open office' and test.

  • Problem turning on the Satellite Pro S500 without battery

    Hello!

I have the following situation with my Satellite Pro S500-115:

The battery seems to be faulty now (it loads more and Win 7 Pro told me to replace it).
When I turn on the laptop and the battery is connected, it works for a few minutes and then it suddenly off.

But even if I remove the battery and the laptop connected to the DC IN, when I press the turn on button have nothing happens!

If the laptop should not be able to operate in such circumstances, which is only connected to the electric network and with the connected battery off? I have to set in order to operate like this?

    Thanks in advance!

    > The battery seems to be broken now (it loads more and Win 7 Pro told me to replace it).
    > When I turn on the laptop and the battery is connected, it works for a few minutes and then it suddenly off.

My old laptop battery is dead too much 6 years It's possible to use the laptop in the dough mode for just two minutes after the battery is empty, but I use the notebook with the AC adapter connected and that is why I don't need to replace the battery.

    > Shouldn't the laptop be able to operate in such circumstances, that is only connected to the electric network and with the battery connected off? I have to set in order to operate like this?

Usually the laptop should be able to turn on and operate without battery connected.
My laptop works fine with an adapter connected only. So what to say maybe the ESF is also affected, but it's just a suggestion

But you must check if the BIOS is in place to this day... sometimes a BIOS update could solve some problems of power and battery.

  • Changing the setting of 80% to 100% on the Satellite Z30-A-104 battery charging

    Hello

I used my Z30 Satellite primarily as a desktop till now (the charger is still plugged).
One day I got a popup option to increase the life of the battery (charge only up to 80%) and I accepted the option.

But now, I'll be traveling and can't reset this option.

I want to charge the battery to 100% and be able to take advantage of longer battery life.
    How is that possible? Help!

    See you soon

    Hello

I think that you have changed this setting in battery Toshiba Manager c++.
    You must disable Mode "Eco-responsible".

Perhaps this Toshiba info would be useful:

  • Question about the Satellite C50D of charge

    Hello

I have a problem with the battery on my Toshiba laptop. I connect and it says "charge (100%). ", but as soon as I disconnect the battery supply cable down exactly 50%. I don't know how much time he did this, but it's very frustrating not being able to have all the power (on the long trips etc.). I tried the high performance and energy saving mode.

I tried to remove the battery and turn on/off the laptop and recharge overnight once it says 100%. I've looked everywhere and nobody seems to have this problem and its ruining the heck out of me.

    Bought: December 2013
    Running: Windows 8.1

    Thanks in advance.

Try to use the laptop until the battery is completely empty and load it again at 100%.
Check please if this will change anything. If this isn't the case, I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba or your local dealer services provider.

I ve heard about problem when battery shows 100% of load as long as the adapter is connected, but he can´t to keep the load once the adapter is unplugged. In this case the battery must be replaced.

Contact service, explain the situation and follow the instructions given by the authorized service provider.

  • Lack of BT on the Satellite C50D

First of all I'm not the slightest bit techy so I hope it's a simple solution

I use to have the blue tooth on my laptop, it worked fine, but now it's gone? No blue tooth under settings, non-"devices to add" option. I clicked on blue tooth Wizard but when I click on it it starts to install the drivers of my laptop stops and restarts

    Any ideas?

    It is really strange.
Can you please post model full name and version of the operating system that you use.
Can you see BT in Device Manager?

I need to replace the Satellite A50-452 CMOS battery, but can't find any instructions online on how I would go about this procedure. Does anyone know how or where I could find instructions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Manual maintenance is not public record, so you can not find it for download.
Here in the forum isn't easy to post description step by step how you can disassemble your laptop and there are always risks that can damage some small piece of plastic or plastic media.

I put t really know what to say. Try to use google and find a page where you can find a description how to do this.

  • Satellite C50D-A00L - battery of short duration

    Hello

my partner has a portable Satellite C50D-A00L that was bought yesterday, the battery only last about 1.3 to 1.5 hours at most and on eco mode, which is just surfing the net.

I have a Satellite L850 and the life of the battery last 2 - 3 times more!

Is this good? The battery feels very light compared to the batery in my laptop

Can I use my laptop battery in his?

Can I buy a battery of capacity for it if so where to go? (links)

    Cheers for any info

    Hello

As you have probably not known different laptops of different batteries.
There are 3 cell, 6-cell, 9 cells or even 12 batteries which lasts much longer and provide more power.

I found on the Toshiba page specs of the Satellite C50D-A00L and it looks like its battery 3 cells.
I guess that the L850 was equipped with a stronger battery.

    > Can I use my laptop battery in his?
Do not think to check if the battery will be compatible.

Found a few compatible batteries for Satellite C50D series and it looks like you could use a 6 cell battery PA5024U-1BRS 4200mAh or / and PABAS260

  • Adjustable 430CDT Pro - how to replace the CMOS battery?

    Two questions, if I could.

    1. the old new 430CDT - does anyone have simple instructions that go I would find the CMOS battery and replace it without destroying the computer in the process? I suspect that it is hidden under the keyboard, but have no idea how to do to remove that. (I'm not very super-friendly upward on computers.)

    2. How can I get back in to old posts and give points for helpful answers?

    Thank you!

    > 1. The old 430CDT yet - does anyone have simple instructions that go I would find the CMOS battery and replace it without destroying the computer in the process? I m not very well, but I doubt you could get access to the only keyboard removing CMOS battery.
Usually it s placed on the motherboard but it s need to disassemble the whole laptop and believe me. It's really complicated and mostly impossible for some who never disassembled a laptop

So if you ask my opinion: contact a technician in downtown and ask for help.

Hi all, first post and a problem, like most I guess!

    Bought my first W8 portable Satellite C50D Tosh - A - 13 G

    Wifi is driving me crazy

This new laptop, "hog" the seams the connection,.

Only way out, is to make the power of the BT box and wait 5 minutes!

    I guess, it's a window 8 setting somewhere, but sorry I'm a bit of a dummy!

Any help would be appreciated, please

    TIA

    Tim

    Hello

It seems really strange to me that the connection this laptop WLAN would affect the other devices that are connected to the home network wireless.

You use a WLan router common home - which provides a pool of IP addresses which are assigned automatically to each devices?

The Satellite C50D - A - 13 G was equipped with a card of WLan Atheros 802.11 b/g/n commune (chip WB335) and this module actions WLan and BT connectivity.

I recommend you to disable Bluetooth while using the WiFi network.
You can do this by going to charm bar (Win key + C)-> settings-> PC-> PC and devices-> Bluetooth settings
Here, you can move the cursor ON / OFF

  • Satellite C50D-B-120 - install Windows 7 drivers

    Hi all

Could really do with some help on the Satellite C50D-B-120 / pscn4e.

Wipe the drive and did a clean install of Windows 7, all the updates that are applied etc.

I downloaded all the Toshiba drivers for the model and install them, but have the following problem:

In Device Manager, there are 3 things that are not installed:

    -SM Bus controller
-USB Controller (assuming USB 3, like USB 2 works)
    -Unknown device

Is it me maybe install things in the right order? Or if the machine is not fully supported on Windows 7.

Also, the dimming/volume/wifi etc screen function keys... do not work.

Can anyone shed some light on these questions, because I'm at the end of my home now!

    Thanks in advance
    James

I checked Toshiba download page http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/dow...ivers_bios.jsp and all drivers for Win7 64 bit are available for your laptop is fully supported.
Have you installed all of them (pilot listed 31)?
