No installation of yoga 13 clean windows 8, no UEFI?

Windows 8 has been installed correctly on my 13 yoga and it seems that there more a UEFI as an option in the bios boot devices/command. Is there a way to fix this or a way to make an another clean install to make sure that it is an option?

    Hello

I decided to do a clean install of Windows 10 Professional (x 64) on my Lenovo X 1 Yoga (20FQ).

I'm currently pulling my hair out trying to install Windows 10 in UEFI mode, I want to do so that I can use all the features of the TPM and bitlocker. No matter what I do I was not able to install Windows 10 Professional (x 64) in UEFI mode, I was able to install it in legacy mode. I tried several BIOS configurations in terms of disable/enable Legacy UEFI OS at startup, but when I put the BIOS only UEFI mode the key USB Windows 10 Professional (x 64) (that I created using the file .iso image downloaded with Microsoft download tool), the machine refuses to boot from the USB or PCIe-NVMe UEFI in mode only.

Can someone point me to a guide to install Windows to UEFI mode?

I'm sure to UEFI, the file system must be FAT32 not NTFS.

It may seem strange for NTFS works with 'legacy', but not UEFI - but I think that FAT32 is now considered a 'standard' and integrated with UEFI while NTFS is still proprietary format of Ms...

I can't install the update for Windows vista (KB2718704), a mode without failure or after clean window reboot.

    What should I do?

    Hello

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         You are able to install other updates successfully?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 7 the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.

original title; Problem installation of update KB2556532 on Windows Vista 32 bit

I had problems for the last two months trying to install the update to windows KB2556532. I have Windows Vista 32 bit.

I had a virus that has been cleaned of my laptop. It was windows recovery of fraud, and I don't know if this could have caused the problem at first, but after you have cleaned the virus always impossible to install this update.

She always says that it has installed ok, but then when the computer has restarted, it is located in 'Configuring Updates step 3 of 3..' he said then that the update was not installed correctly and is back from changes.  Once the computer has booted I am prompted to install the update again.  It continues in this loop.

Can anyone help me please with this.  I can't online solutions for this problem, I looked for a few weeks to try and fix myself.

Unfortunately if this utility installs not it is not that there is something corrupt or prevent Windows to install correctly.

  • The installation of Adobe Photoshop prevents Windows to restart

I had trouble installing the new software with Windows 8, but eventually, the issues have been resolved.  But this one has completely mystified me.

I downloaded and installed Adobe Photoshop elements 11 and Prime Minister 11 Adobe elements. After installation, I opened both programs and all seemed well.  But, by following the instructions, I restarted my computer.  I should say "attempted to restart.  After a few minutes, he told me he was diagnose my computer and then it was fixing the problem.  After a few minutes, he told me he couldn't fix it and gave me a few options.  I chose to restore to a previous state where he worked.  Of course, the windows open and my newly installed programs disappeared.  I have re-installed the same problem at least 4 times with different attempts to resolve the problem.  I talked to Adobe (they concluded it was a problem of BONE) and read MS Web sites until my eyes are painful.
The Adobe Setup log indicates no error and, indeed, I had no problems during installation. The SrtTrail.txt file will not display any errors until the end when he gives this information completely useless: "unspecified changes to the system configuration may have caused the problem."  Now this seems to point to Adobe make the changes and I don't have a clue how to prevent changes.
I'm almost to the point of accepting that I lost over $ 1200 with the computer and the software and buy a Mac.

When you download the Setup file of Adobe, if it's a .exe file and not in a .msi file, you can right click on the file and select run as administrator.  This is what I refer when I mention, "may specify that you right click on the actual Setup.exe and select the option"Run As Administrator "?  And even if your username is an administrator? »

Right click and "run as Administrator" option give the privileges as opposed to a user installing ordinary admin who really only equal to a standard user privileges, believe me.

Run as administrator - in Windows 8

    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/9564-run-administrator-Windows-8-a.html

Start over with a new installation of Windows, and then installing the Adobe programs first place before anything, including updates of Windows, can be the only way you get these Adobe programs installed if everything else fails to do the job.  You won't lose too much if the machine is only one week other than time and effort.  If you can't get Adobe in this way (a new clean Windows installation), then you will ever do in until Adobe come up with a solution.

  • Cannot install clean Windows 8.1 get pick up the product key from the BIOS

I have Acer S3-391 with a pre-installed 8 Win. First, I thought that I would like to downgrade to Win 7 Pro as I am used to Win 7. So, I

remove the recovery partition from Acer Windows 8 on my hard drive and installed Win 7 Pro (with my own product key) on this subject. Also, I've updated to version 2.17 UEFI BIOS.

Now I decided to reinstall Win 8 on my laptop, but I am running into a problem:

As I deleted the original recovery partition which included all the bloatware is it came with, I use a Windows 8.1 cleaning ISO image trasnferred a FAT32 formatted USB flash drive. It's actually an ISO Windows 8.1 Professional, but I added the file 'ei.cfg' "basic" settings and "OEM" inside. So he installed a clean Windows 8.1 with UEFI BIOS setting, but it will not pick up a product key from the UEFI BIOS. It assigns a generic key and I can't activate it with Microsoft.

Any suggestions to make it meet on the embeded BIOS product key without ordering a recovery DVD set for $45 at Acer?

    Thank you.

You're right, it comes with 8.0 OEM. Last night, I found Win 8.0 ISO, modified with the folder $ $OEM and activated!

original title: windows 7 gamer edition

Download of software on these sites can be very risky, because the origin of the files are usually edited and its quite possible that they could have injected malicious code in it.

Windows 7 Gamer edition is not a developed Microsoft or affiliated with the product, what appears to be a customized image of Windows 7 that authors customized to remove or add Windows components, which can also be very problematic.

You use something that no one can help you consider he has probably been reverse engineered and probably injected by a malicious code like spyware (keyloggers, rootkits, worms, viruses). I suggest you stick to Windows 7 Ultimate, this is the most complete edition of Windows 7, anyone can have.
