Slow download speed after downgrading to Windows 7 64 bit
Hi all!
I'm new here! My first laptop is a Toshiba Satellite since 2003. Since then, I got one couple of others.
Now I bought a new: Satellite P70-A-11V, a portable professional high-end computer, which came with Windows 8, which I upgraded to 8.1.Unfortunately, the degraded system so bad that all pendrives made plant. I have connected my Toshiba camcorder, and it also crashed the laptop. The search indexing was not working outside the C: drive. The pointer of an optical mouse has started to freeze for seconds on the screen.
This last problem, which I think was due to the low power USB ports. So, I really had no choice after 2 restorations system total and installed Windows 7 Enterprise x 64 SP1. The operating system seems ok, but I always have problems, and one of them is that my download speed is very low, as well with LAN cable or wireless. I can't tell how is download speed.
My internet provider provides 100 MB/s internet access via optical cable. I test on Speedtest.net and normally, it gives a range of 50 to 80 Mbps actual download speed. Then, if I check the speed of the connection Wireless wireless connection status, I experience a maximum of 130 MB/s, which is constant. Large.
Yet, no download occurs at a speed of wretched 400 to 500 kbit/s, as if it was a dial-up connection. This problem was not present before.I tried to change several settings according to the forums, but nothing helped. I disabled the firewall and stimulated wireless (duplex 100 MB) and also tried through LAN cable. The rated speed is great, but apparently the slowness problem is inside the laptop, not outside. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!
I checked the Toshiba download page and your laptop is fully supported for Win7 64 bit. Drivers LAN and WLAN are available also so I hope that you have installed all the drivers, tools, and utilities including LAN and WLAN. Can you confirm this?

Cannot connect to Internet after upgrading to Windows 7 64-bit Aspire M5100
I upgraded from Vista Home Premium 32-bit, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have a Marvell yukon 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller. I tried updating the driver, but it has yet to solve the problem. I am able to connect through a usb wireless adapter.
I noticed someone had this problem with a M3100 and the solved the problem by replacing the Ethernet card. I hope that I don't have to do since I've upgraded to Windows 7 using an OEM version. As I understand it, you can change to any material after I installed the OEM version.
When I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor there was compatibility issues: 1) the card Ethernet, 2) graphics card.
He said go to the device manufacturer's website and download the latest version of the driver. I thought that's what I did, but it still doesn't work. I have all the 'exclamation points"in the Device Manager. Everything said that it works correctly.
Maybe I'm not download the appropriate driver. Should I just go for the driver and the driver update rather than choose one myself and downloading?
If I end up installing a new Ethernet card going to work?
Any suggestions?
Good. It's just to install and configure the new network card. If all goes well, assuming that Murphy does not, it should be easy sailing! Let me know how it goes.

HP 15-f009ca: can not find the drivers for my PC after downgrading to Windows 7
Hello world!
A few weeks ago, I bought a Hp laptop of type 15-f009ca. Because I didn't like windows 8, I downgraded to Windows 7. The installation was successful, but I could not find the driver for my PC wireless LAN.
Anyone know where I can download it?
Or is it still possible to find the driver windows 7 for this guy?Hello:
You should be able to use most of the W7 x 64 drivers and software from the HP 255 G2 on your model except the BIOS and firmware files.
http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/readIndex?sp4ts.Oid=6431940&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4063
Your laptop is the Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bg / n 1 x 1 WiFi adapter, this is how the wireless driver you need.
In addition, you need these drivers usb3. Install both and restart.

I can't use the Wi - Fi after downgrading my windows!
Hello, I'm Loh. Today, I have a problem on my computer laptop that is why I would like to ask you this question.
I bought the new laptop HP, which is 'HP Pavilion 15-p031tx Notebook PC Drivers' and at first by default, Windows 8.1 was unique language, which was not enabled, in my laptop. Then I want to use the functionality of windows 8, I downgraded to windows 8 pro with the spark of dream. After that, I realized that I can't connect to the internet and I saw computer manager, there is no network drivers in my laptop!
So now I would like to download the driver for windows 8 pro wifi adapter. But I could not find where and how. I need your help as soon as possible.
The controller material properties in my laptop network ID are
PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & SUBSYS_2230103C & REV_01
PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & SUBSYS_2230103C
PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & CC_028000
PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & CC_0280
You are the very welcome.
If you have a Broadcom wireless card then you will need to use the wireless Broadcom for W8.1 driver
Not sure why it does not work. I don't think it matters if you run W8.1 or W8.1 Pro on your machine.
The drivers are the same.

How can I downgrade from Windows 8 64-bit for Win8 32 bit on my HP Envy?
Bought the HP Envy for my children, but their favorite a few months ago game requires a Java Update, which is not available for 64-bit Windows 8. We waited for an update is available, but it looks like it will take another few months...
So we decided to restore the system and wanted to change to 32 bit. Unfortunately, during the restoration there was no option to select 32-bit instead of 64-bit.
What can we do to downgrade successfully to 32-bit on Windows 8?
afgorkids,
Welcome to the HP Forum.
I admit that I might be missing your point, so bear with me...
This is an excerpt from Java to Windows 8 FAQ page:
Why only I get the 32-bit JRE when I go to Java.com?
Java.com offers a version of Java based on your browser and operating system (OS). If you are running a 64-bit version of Windows 8, you have access to 32-bit versions and 64-bit Internet Explorer 10 on your system. The desktop version of Windows 8 operating system does not run in 64-bit mode (unless you have improved in Internet Explorer 10 on Protected Mode), Java 32-bit is the default value.

Hello
My laptop computer with the Compaq Presario C772TU model number has no internet connectivity fade via LAN or Wifi. There are no drivers. Until now I was using windows 7 (64-bit), and it worked very well. After 10 of Windows it cannot find the drivers! Please help me to get the drivers. If I go to HP, they have drivers for Windows Vista, which installed but does not work only! Help, please.
Hello:
The ethernet card, the only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W8.1 directly from Realtek drivers.
First driver on the list.
Do you know what model of wireless network card your PC came with?
The list of parts does not help me because it shows that there may be one of 3 different model wireless network cards.
If you are unsure, please do the following so I can understand what your laptop's model card...
Go to Device Manager. There should be a category of other devices containing a list of devices that need drivers under this category.
The wireless card is labeled as a network controller.
Click the network controller device, and then click the Details tab in the upper part of the window of network controller device.
Now you should see a drop-down list of property and it is set by default to the Description of the unit.
On this list and select the 3rd point (Hardware ID).
After the first string of characters you see in the window.

So I've upgraded to Windows Pro 10 for a full version of Windows 7 Pro. I've stuck with 10 windows for a few days and decided to downgrade. After he was done, Windows came with a message saying that I could be a victim of "Windows 7 Pro not being authentic" or something like that. He says I have 'Build' 7601. The computer I bought came with a key, but it's a full version when I got although it came with a recovery disk. Is there a way to fix this?

Network of HP Pavilion G6-2244NR, usb, wireless problems after downgrade to Windows 7
HP Pavilion G6-2244NR network problems. Okay, so I have a G6-2244NR I had to downgrade to Windows 7 Pro 64 (SP1), due to software compatibility issues. Install was initially conducted on UEFI, GPT, wiped 8 and started from scratch with Legacy support MBR. Installation went perfectly well. However, I start in 7 and I get the network icon showing a red X. I then go into Manager and note that there is no network listed devices. Instead, I have 8 devices listed under "Other devices" with yellow exclamations by each of them. This includes the Bluetooth controller, the network, a PCI device controller, Ethernet controller, SM Bus controller, two USB controllers and an "unknown device". Bluetooth ID is ven_1814 & dev 3298, Ethernet ID PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_8136 and so on. I downloaded the drivers on the wazoo. I think that I have updated the chipset but know not so straight updates chipset (catalyst 12.6). Still no luck. Whenever I have try and install what I think are good drivers I get the error "device works not ' on the LAN card. Can anyone help?

Reinstall Visio after upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit
Hello everyone. I installed Windows 7-64 bit. My upgrade went without a hitch except to reinstall one of my Office programs. I am trying to reinstall Visio Professional 2003, however, my first legal installation disc is Visio 98. Windows 7-64 bit will not install this version, so I'm stuck without a track to upgrade in order to activate properly. How to work around this problem. I tried to join the team of Visio, but I see that they want to get my credit card on which I am not too happy to... Help... Please...
Thank you.
E-mail address is removed from the privacy *.
I know it's late to this thread over 3 years, but I recently found this problem on the copy of my dad from win7 64.
With success, I was able to install 4.5 Visio standard, Visio 5.0 update and upgrade Visio 2002. Everything worked successfully on win7, but the older versions had some quirks to fix in the installation process for 2002 to see them on the hard drive and to recognize as valid evolutionary products.
The main problem is that version visio 4.5 and 5.0 used an old 16-bit installshield Setup program.
The applications themselves are 32-bit and will be running in compat for windows NT 4.0 mode in win7 64-bit.
My solution was to get a program that will extract the old cab of installshield used on the cd files.
The file to extract cd is called 'data.z' and you must check out it in a good location on your hard drive.
I used the program Universal Extractor from the following site:
http://legroom.NET/software/UniExtract
the extraction method used was i3comp.
Once the records from HD, I created a shortcut to the executable visio in the extracted folder, in the properties of the shortcut I went to the compatibility options and click on it to change the settings for all users. Here, I did the program running under Windows NT 4.0 and run as administrator.
I then tested successfully the Visio 4.5 and 5.0 with this method to ensure that any registry or ini file stuff needed by the installer of 2002 would be easier.
After I checked they were running and working on win7 64, I put in the 2002 Update CD recently bought new by the amazon seller.
Setup has found the copy to hard disk, and I told it to install over Visio 5.0 on hard disk folder.
When I launched visio 2002, he asked to activate, I then just let my dad continue the activation process of Visio 2002 update because it was actually him who had bought and she belonged and was installed on his computer.
He had worked for a couple of hours and finally had put on his machine virtual windows xp win7, but wanted on his real win7 64 bit installation.
I had the chance to help her for about an hour, and it was enough time to understand the problem and get Visio 2002 working for him.
I note that there is a point in the installation process when upgrade version wants to find the old copy to upgrade, he will try to get the hard disk and you will almost seem to be frozen, but the style hourglass turns the pointer of the mouse circle will be always moving. As long as you wait outside it will be eventually find the older version installed.
Finally, on my father's computer, there are more than 1 million files from different programs and documents to go, after about 5-6 minutes setup are the old copy and continued.
After it's done only internet activation is required.
Hope this helps someone.

Portege M700 falls down after upgrading to Windows 7 32 bit
Dear all,
My portege M700 laptop played most of the reliable time.
However, it was taken very slow sleep after a few iterations of sleep-wake, taking > 5 min.I have now installed Windows 7 32-bit, which works very well. Has no problem with the release of sleep. However, on 1-2 times per day now, I get a message that Explorer crashed and must restart. About once a week, the system crashes completely with a blue screen of windows (without core). Most of the time, in seconds to the time that the screen freezes, I hear the fan switch on at full speed (much faster that it never runs normally) and the case becomes hot enough.
I installed the latest drivers for 32 bit Windows 7 on the site of Toshiba UK.
Can someone help me to diagnose the cause of these accidents?
Thank you very much
Chris.
Hello
It is difficult to say what might cause this behavior strange system.
But you said something about the hot deal and fans begins to spin fasterIt seems that the internal temperature of laptops increases to a higher level.
A higher temperature may affect the RAM modules and this could be the reason why the system hangs and does not answer. What to say that you should check the Win 7 power management settings.
There are many options that could decrease the performance of the processor and increase the cooling.
In addition, you should check if the cooling fans are free of dust obstructed fans might not run properly and this would increase the temperature as well.Hope this helps you
