Network of HP Pavilion G6-2244NR, usb, wireless problems after downgrade to Windows 7

HP Pavilion G6-2244NR network problems.  Okay, so I have a G6-2244NR I had to downgrade to Windows 7 Pro 64 (SP1), due to software compatibility issues.  Install was initially conducted on UEFI, GPT, wiped 8 and started from scratch with Legacy support MBR.  Installation went perfectly well.  However, I start in 7 and I get the network icon showing a red X.  I then go into Manager and note that there is no network listed devices.  Instead, I have 8 devices listed under "Other devices" with yellow exclamations by each of them.  This includes the Bluetooth controller, the network, a PCI device controller, Ethernet controller, SM Bus controller, two USB controllers and an "unknown device".  Bluetooth ID is ven_1814 & dev 3298, Ethernet ID PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_8136 and so on.  I downloaded the drivers on the wazoo.  I think that I have updated the chipset but know not so straight updates chipset (catalyst 12.6).  Still no luck.  Whenever I have try and install what I think are good drivers I get the error "device works not ' on the LAN card.  Can anyone help?

    Hello:

Looking at your other posts it seems that you have yourself painted in a corner.

Since there is no inheritance or the setting USB auto in the BIOS, your only option would be to remove the hard drive, then put it in a USB drive enclosure sata hard laptop, plug in another PC so it can be read, download the drivers there, you need and copy to you user profile on the hard drive removed.

Chapter 5 maintenance manual provides the procedures of withdrawal and replacement for the hard drive.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03733656

Reinstall the hard drive, run the drivers, and you should be good to go.

These would be the drivers you need for your model...

    Hello Sean2,

I understand that you have downgraded your operating system Windows 8 for Windows 7 and are unable to find the drivers for your computer. I watch, I am sure that you have done so and there is no driver is listed for your computer running Windows 7. This does not mean that you can't find just that they will be more difficult to locate.

What to display the devices Windows 7 hardware ID not properly settled for you. With the hardware ID, we can attempt to locate the drivers for this particular device running Windows 7. Here is a link to a site explaining How to find Hardware ID.

  • Computer HP laptop is not picking up good wireless signal after downgrading windows 8.1 for windows 7

So far, I had a hell of a trip to the scene that I have (I managed to get windows 7 booted up and installed etc and then had to download drivers for a bunch of stuff that was absent because of the falling out between W7 and W8) but I need serious help/help - particularly nearby wireless network card drivers , but also in other areas, too.

In short, the problem I have is that I had to download an ASUS 802.11n network adapter driver just to get my wireless works... and now it is not picking up signal unless the laptop is basically right next to the router.

The router works fine - it's all new Virgin Media and I pick up the signal 5 houses down on my iphone.

I guess the question I seek an answer to is if because the Windows 8.1 will no longer work and I had to install a * beep * ty Asus driver temporarily, can someone find me a suitable adapter for the following:

    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & SUBSYS_2230103C & REV_01
    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & SUBSYS_2230103C
    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & CC_028000
    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & CC_0280

Oh my laptop is a HP pavilion 17 by the way - and Yes, I used this site to get adapters but none seem compatible.

After spending some time looking around more closely, I found a driver that solved my problem:

Your router could be suspicious here, you have successfully updated its firmware as a possible solution? And I would like to
Update your WiFi drivers on computers. How you are positioned in the router? Are there
    obstacles in the path?

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Download - SAVE - go where you put it - right click – RUN AS ADMIN.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they

Make sure you know the details of connection to your wireless router - SSID and password.

You lose connection when you do and have to redo your logon.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

REP 1) If you didn't have a problem with Windows 7 but only with Windows 10, probably the problems resolve and will not happen on Win 7. I can't guarantee 100% but it seems normal.

REP 2) Yes, if you go back to your previous operating system (aka Win 7), you will be able to try to Win 10 later if you wish.

    A few tips:

    > > If you want to try to solve your problems of Windows 10 without going back to Win 7, you can try to download/install HP Support Assistant

I've recently updated my product to 8.1 of Windows and even if I have material for a sound SRS surround, I can't find the software patches necessary to return my sound quality to its original levels of Dolby. I have already installed the IDT audio drivers available in support of the Web site forums always the his qualityy is very poor.

In addition, after installation of the Qualcomm Atheros Wireless card driver from the support forum, my light on the adapter does not turn Orange and stays blue all the time.

Kindly help me to solve these problems.

    Hi @Yuvraj_Gupta ,

Welcome to the HP support community. I saw your post about the problems after the upgrade to Windows 8.1. You encounter some problems because there is no driver Windows 8.1 to your model, only Windows 7 and 8. This Driver de Audio IDT high-definition is the most recent that I can find, but I can't guarantee that it will work.

For wireless light trying to install this Driver HP wireless button.  Once installed, you should be able to switch it off and on again.

  • Dell XPS Ultrabook 12 has network using WIFI connection problem after upgrade to Windows 10

I have a Dell laptop XPS Ultrabook 12 that worked fine on Windows 8.1. When Microsoft prompted me to sign up for upgrade to Windows 10, I hesitated, but finally, I signed up for it. In recent months, I have been asked several times upgraded to Windows 10 but I just ignored and delay the update as much as possible, because I need to work with the laptop and I can't afford to have problems after the upgrade.  To my horror, Microsoft forced an install of Windows 10 this morning without allowing me to delay and just after the upgrade, I can't connect to my existing network. I have therefore no access to the internet and I am currently typing this complaint using another PC. I noticed that the laptop can connect to the network automatically when I walk my router but the connection will last only a few minutes, and then he'd cut off. I tried to connect and the message I get is "unable to connect to this network. I checked with "ipconfig/all", wifi said media disconnected. I checked with the Dell support website and downloaded and installed a newer driver, but the problem persisted. Apparently the surf on the internet, this problem is faced with a number and any suggestions to fix do not work (after that I tried).

    Help, please.

You should be able to go back to 8.1 for Windows by following the instructions here:

  • Issues with Dell desktop computer wireless and D-Link wireless network card. Only able to get wireless access by checking "Use Windows to configure my wireless network". This kind of file sharing impossible.

original title: can't see the computer on wireless internet!

I hope that's not too much detail, but I would like that the sequence of events to be clear...

I have a Dell desktop computer that's probably six or seven years now.  It did not come with a wireless card, so I bought a DLink router and combo card wireless, install both with the DLink software.  It works beautifully.

Later, we through my rep AT & T DSL, I got a Motorola modem/router with wireless capabilities.  I had plugged directly on my computer Dell desktop and moved to a Dell laptop DLink wireless receiver.  No problems.

The Dell laptop is dead and the DLink receiver has not been used for a long time.  Family of my daughter moved to our place, and I have connected his desktop computers and laptop to wireless internet, using the Windows Connection Wizard.  Still no problem.

I got a new ASUS laptop, I also linked using the Windows Wizard.  STILL no problem.

Now, here's the problem comes.  I moved the Dell desktop computer, connected the DLink wireless receiver to it and I am able to get wireless access ONLY when I go into the properties of PC, click the wireless networks tab and check the "use Windows to configure my wireless network" box.  Then I can connect correctly, but I don't see this computer on my wireless network.  Bad luck... because I want to be able to access share files.  When I try to connect using different assistants of Windows, I get a message to the effect that, if I used another software to connect to the program, I can't use the Windows Wizard.

So, what can I do to remove the original configuration of DLink completely and to connect to my wireless network using the wizards in Windows?  I uninstalled the software of DLink, but it seems to have no effect at all.

BTW, Dell desktop computer is running XP, office computer of my daughter is running VISTA, and two laptops are equipped with Windows 7.  I can see all the computers on the network with the exception of the original Dell desktop computer wireless.

    Any help would be appreciated!

I tried to find a way to solve the problem I encounter without success, so I decided to join this community and hope that someone else came across something similar and has been able to solve.

I have two identical HP notebook computers (HP Pavilion dv6 - 6123cl) and both of these computers have exactly the same problem. After you have reinstalled Windows 7 for some reason any USB ports on the left side of the laptop are not recognized by Windows, leaving me with only 2 USB ports available. I downloaded and installed all the official drivers from the HP site but the problem remains still. Device Manager will not find the drivers and it drives me crazy because all the USB ports on both computers worked very well so far. What am I supposed to do?
