No Internet or drivers after Windows 7 downgrade
After that I tried the preview of Windows 8.1, I didn't like it so I downloaded the Windows 7 Home Premium to downgrade to Windows 7. The downgrade, sort of worked, but my screen looks puffy and zoomed in and I have no internet connection or no driver network to connect to Internet. I tried the Windows 7 recovery disc that I borrowed from a person, but my computer could not read the disc, so I could have lost my drivers too. When I bought my laptop, it only came with a Back Up DVD of Windows 7 so please help.
Hey Zane,
What is the brand and model of your computer?
Because the computer could not read the contents of the disc, we cannot load the drivers from the disk.
I suggest you to visit your site from another computer manufacturer, download the network card and all the other drivers that are available for your model. Copy the drivers to a flash drive and connect it to your computer and install them.
As the operating system has been preloaded with the computer, you can also contact the manufacturer of your computer and see if they can help that you get the Windows 7 installation disc.
Hope this helps and let us know if you need help. We will be happy to help you.

I tried the HP support site, but I don't see any drivers for any available OS for my model, the g6-1d21dx Pavilion.
I did a clean install of Windows 10, but the Wi - Fi button does not work. Apparently, there's a pilot called HP wireless button that I need to install. When I do a Google search for it, there is a link to HP's download page, but the link seems to be dead.
HP allows us to download drivers more? It's frustrating, because drivers must be simple and easy.
Can someone please tell me where I can get this and all the other drivers that I might need after doing a clean install of Windows 10?
Thank you.
Well, I think I solved the problem. The first time I did a new install of Windows 10, didn't have an Ethernet cable connected to the computer. This leads to all sorts of problems, including a lack of access to the Internet and some devices are not installed correctly. I reformatted the SSD drive and cloned my old hard drive, but that resulted in a very slow performance, then I would get errors every other time I start the computer (inaccessible_boot_device, unexpected_store_exception and kernel_data_input_error). In addition, the hard drive that I cloned has been running the 64 bit version of Windows 10, and I wanted to try the 32-bit version, because I want to use some software of old who will not run on 64-bit Windows 10 (for example, the Spanish dictionary Oxford SuperLex 3-in-1, French and German).
Last night, I did another installation of the 32-bit version, but with a network attached cable. This time, after installation and update of Windows, all my devices appear to be installed and working properly. This includes the Synaptics touchpad, the HP wireless button, the AMD Radeon graphics card and the Realtek card reader. I didn't need to install whatever it is myself, and the Device Manager does not display the unknown devices. In addition, installation completed MUCH more quickly with the connected network cable.
Conclusion: If you clean - install Windows 10, I highly recommend that you do so with a network cable attached so that you will have access to the Internet when it is necessary during installation. With fixed cable, both my wired network and my Wi - Fi network have been detected during installation. Wireless network connected, even my Wi - Fi was not available during the installation.

Installing drivers after Windows XP reinstall on Dell Dimension 2350 with Dell resource disk
Hi all
Recently, I did a clean reinstall of Windows XP (home edition) on my Dell Dimension 2350. Everything went well. Now, I need to install the appropriate drivers. I have the Dell resource disk and this is where the problem starts.
As noted elsewhere, after reinstallation of that display on the screen of the disk resource is as it is in 'Safe Mode '. I was aware of this. Therefore, the search criteria screen resources drive was a little bigger than the screen of the monitor. I managed to its size to fit the screen, but this really isn't the problem, is the following: the search criteria options I have in the dropdown menus (on screen) are the following:System model: all, DXC061, DXP0G1 Dimension, Dimension E521, DM061, Dimension C521, XPS710 (who, if necessary, to choose?)
Operating system: (I think I got this one) all, Windows XP
Topic: (maybe this one too), Dell Diagnostics, Diagnostics, drivers, Applications, utilities
For the life of me I can't understand the correct drivers, I am to install *. Windows XP appears in the menu of the operating system. I know enough about the order of installation, but as I said, I'm a little confused on the selection of the drivers from the disc. This computer is not connected to the internet at the moment so I can't download and use any kind of pilot program. Other research have confused me more far and provided no precise answer to this problem.
If anyone can enlighten me on the solution step by step to this (I think "Dell resource disk for Dummies"), I would be extremely grateful.Thank you all!

* If it will help, I went in (with "Show Hidden Files" active) Device Manager and it shows (with the yellow question mark) are:
Other devices: Ethernet Controller, multimedia Audio Controller, video controller (VGA Compatible). You need, in the order of installation:
- Driver Chipset
- Video driver (depends on what video card)
- Audio driver
- Network driver (depends on who you are)
- Modem driver, if you are using a modem
Go to the Support page and put in your Service tag. He expected to give you the drivers you need. You can download them to any PC and copy it to a USB key for installation on 2350.
You only need applications, if you actually use them (for example, Roxio, Jasc Paintshop, etc.).
Then install your antiviral software and get in line on the Microsoft Update site for all patches and updates.
Please keep in mind that XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, and they stopped release of the security fixes for XP and IE9, more than 1 year. So they're all two full of security holes and put your data personal in danger.

Devices not detected after Windows 7 (Downgrade Up)
My ex has a brand new HP 15 - g012dx provided with Windows 8, but has driver support for Win7 x 64.
She has all the driver files, but none will install; they do not have the Setup installers I can say. There is no driver chipset, so automatic PNP/detection will not work. So, how can I install them manually? Essentially, I unzipped the one-at-a-time to a folder. It has Windows 7 x 64 Edition.
You are the very welcome.
When you run the file, decompresses it and usually the default directory of the driver unpacks to East C:\SWSetup\spXXXXX where XXXXX is the number of the file download.
Then, a Setup screen should automatically pop up and let you know which driver is installed and you follow the instructions on the screen.
To install manually a driver W7 after running the driver by which file above, you close out of the installation dialog box.
Go to Device Manager, click the device that you are installing the driver, click on the driver tab, click on put up-to-date driver, select travel it my computer for software driver and browse to folder applicable drivers.
Make sure the box include subfolders is installed and must install the driver.
There are a few riders where you can't do this and you must let the autorun driver because there is no setup informatiion files in the pack of drivers that you can see or extract.

Cannot connect to internet after Windows Update
I was not able to connect to the internet after windows updates 7 of 14 October 2010, unless I have to restore the system to October 13.
Hi jlm00926,
· Update that you installed before the problem?
· Are you able to connect to the internet properly now?
You can set up your computer in a clean boot state. Subsequently, download & install the update manually from the Microsoft Download Center.
http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx
Clean boot will start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs and helps eliminate software conflicts.
The following link has steps showing how to perform the clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: Please make sure that the computer is configured to start as usual according to step 7 of the article: how to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.
