Printers have been working well then all of them I have 5 or 6 disappeared entered service print spooler is stopped I tried to restart manually did not have defined parameters still auto does not work. Mr. Fix It won't work either! Error 1068

If the print spooler service is stopped, no printer will show in printers and faxes.  Frequently, problems with the print spooler are caused by corrupted printer drivers.

There are two issues here:

What is the status of malware from your computer (you have one day a / v application and have scan you for malware AntiMalware and SUPERAntiSpyware usingMalwarebytes)?  Download, install, update and run these last two, if you don't have (both are free).

What is is past just before start, facing this problem?

If you can't isolate one of your printers as the probable cause, then you should uninstall and reinstall all the following instructions here: Article 1 .  If you have (or had) a Lexmark printer, see the directions here, which are essentially the same as a single Article, but a little more detailed and include special instructions for Lexmarks:http://www.members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm

Why is my computer is giving me an error message that says: "cannot start service on Local computer print spooler?

When I tried to install my printer, I got an error 1068: the dependency service or group could start. I tried to go into my computer management to enable the print spooler service, but it gave me the same error message each time. What is the dependency service or group and how I put in place?

    Hi SimoneJ,

Try to replace spoolsv.exe is located in C:\windows\system32 in C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386.

Starting from printer spooler services (start-> Run-> services.msc-> printer spooler).

    I hope this helps.

  • Can not go to sleep, "print spooler" which prevent me from entering

Switch to standby mode, print spooler cannot prevent me to enter

It's true...  XP "checks" with everyone of course no process is in the middle of nothing, and if something says it is busy, you will not enter standby.

Looks like your print spooler is somehow watered upward.  I would stop your Print Spooler Service, delete all print jobs, pending or failures of the queue and then restart the Print Spooler Service.

    Here's how:

To clear the print queue, stop the Print Spooler Service and delete all the pending print files.

You cannot delete all print jobs in the queue so that the Print Spooler Service is running.

To stop the Print Spooler Service, click Start, run and enter in the box:

    services.msc

Click OK to open the Services Applet.

Locate the Print Spooler Service, right click and choose 'Properties' and then click on the "Stop" button to stop the Print Spooler Service is running.

The option "Startup Type" of Service properties print spooler is usually set to "Automatic" (which is now a good time to check it out).

If the "Startup type" is not set to "Automatic", set the "Startup type" to "Automatic" If that is your desire (which now is the time to check it out).

Do not try to start or restart the Print Spooler Service again...

Then, delete all updates pending upward and forward to printing from XP.  If they do not print before, you will need to send the to the printer again.

Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the following folder (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS

Delete all the print jobs in queue (select and delete all the files) in the folder if the folder is without waiting for print jobs.  The folder must be empty when you are finished.

Reboot your system and check the Print Spooler Service again to make sure the Print Spooler Service restarts automatically restart (given that the startup type is set to automatic).

After the reboot, check again the Spooler Service for printing and the 'Status' column for the print spooler must be read "started."

Submit new failure of print jobs.

    Hi all

    Fixed a problem.

It turns out the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Providers must be cleaned too - delete all subkeys (and their values) EXCLUDES the Internet Provider LanMan Print Services and printing keys (and their values).  A reboot is required.

Hope it will be useful for people who have this problem in the future.

Thanks for these folks spend their time to respond or read my question.

    See you soon,.

My computer froze and I had to do an emergency stop.  When I restarted the next morning, the software for my two printers had magically been UNINSTALLED.  A blank page.  When I tried to add a printer: without success because "PRINT SPOOLER does NOT WORK".

How can I get my PRINT SPOOLER 'run' again?

What is an emergency stop valve?

Is this really what the message says, or does mean:

Operation could not be performed.  The print spooler service is not running.

To start the Print Spooler Service, click Start, run, and in the type box:

    Hello

I don't know if you have already solved the problem of the other answer, but here's something you can try if your not confident using the command line.

Go to [start],-> [Control Panel]-> [administrative tools]-> [Services]

Depending on if your running XP, Vista or 7 you can have 2 tabs at the bottom of the window you see.

Select [Standard] if its not already selected. If you already have a large list, skip this step.

Scroll down and find the print spooler. Double click it, and then set the "Startup type" to [Auto]

then click [OK] and then make a right click again print spooler and select [start]

    Hello

This error occurs because the spooler service has not been started or has stopped working.
It seems that this error is known to Microsoft and they decided to public an article in the knowledge base that could help solve this problem.

  • 1053 error print spooler does not start

Hi I have a HP Photosmart C4783 and all of a sudden, I can't print more.

I tried to restart the coil, but it's just for me that error 1053 and some blah on demand does not in a timely fashion.

I went into System 32 to ensure that spool.exe is still there and it is.

I am running windows 7 64 bit and all updates, including the printer are up-to-date.

Everything was fine until a few days ago and I have no new hardware or software installed.

It's really boring it would be great if someone has an answer that does not include trawl by a thousand other items that suggest the reboot of the coil.

    Thank you guys.

If you get error 1053 when print spooler starts, it is usually a problem with the operating system itself.  However, I have something I would like you to try as a way to get the spooler to start.

    • Open the command run by selecting it from the start menu or by pressing the Windows key (to the left of the alt) + R

    • Type services.msc and press enter

    • Scroll down and double click on print spooler

    • Select the tab log

    • Uncheck the Allow service to interact with desktop

    • Click apply

    • Select the general tab for the print spooler, and then select start

This becomes the print spooler to start successfully?

  • Print spooler does not start
