No. phones internet connection smart blackBerry?

Today I bought the blackberry curve 8520 as a prepaid phone to use with my current plan, because my previous phone got stolen.

the plan is with optus and has a value of $500 calls, unlimited text and 700 MB of internet, used with a htc dream.

but the browser, or any other form of internet does not connect when this sim is the blackberry

You must have the BlackBerry data Plan. A generic data plan will not work.

You will find this question asked at least a dozen times a day in the forums here. There is no way around, download the BlackBerry data Plan, call your carrier.

Try to hit the green button to go in your call log. Click on the menu button and go to Options. Try to change your phone list. Also if you are in your list of Messages you can press ALT + P to display the list of your calls

Not sure about this one. He said that it is compatible with the BlackBerry? Since the BlackBerry has a receiver bluetooth inside, products like this work well for listening to the music and phone calls in the car

  • The phones call log smart blackBerry in Messages

    Help!

A few hours ago all my call log has started to appear in my messages folder. I go to my email and it shows my emails, but also all the calls I have made/received or missed. No idea how I can get these off my emails?

    Hello!

You can control whether or not the call log entries appear in the messages. From the home screen, go to the phone application (press the Green key). Then press the BB (the button to the right of the green phone button) and select Options. Then select Call Logging... in there, this is where you control what that name (if applicable) get connected in the message list.

  • The phones call log smart blackBerry on each icon

On my "BOLD", icons from time to another stop functioning and only will pull up the call log.  Send icons, browser icons, application icons, etc., does not work and will instead pull up the call log.  Menus will stop working as well; the menu key works and it opens a menu, but I can't choose any menu item. the button disconnect on the phone also stops working.

Restart the device by pulling on the battery is * not * curing the problem (I leave the battery for a minute or more).  Subsequently and oddly enough, the self-healing of the device, which means that the icons of started working again and I can get my email, calendar, browser and so on for work again.  All this makes me think that the device enters some State, remains in this state between reboots, and then something, somewhere forcing the latter out of it - but what? - and the return to normal.  The last time it happened that it happened right after that I got a phone call, but I can't tell if it's diagnosis because it doesn't happen every time after a phone call.

Any ideas?  ATT wants to do a warranty Exchange, but I would like to avoid that if there is a simple solution.

Last update: I took it in, and (very smart) thought that the problem was probably linked to the trackball.  Pressing the trackball made the device behaves as if the send key was pressed instead, a hardware error.  Swap warranty - my fourth in a month.

  • The phones call log smart blackBerry showing an incorrect date

When I access the journal to call from the main screen, select a call and select view history, the date appears wrong. Even if I make a call, hang up and display the log, it shows the date until the next day. Example: Make a few calls last night (March 08), then had to announce date and time; After that all calls, call log consulted for times and showed calls made on Mar 09. However, if I go to Messages / display folder / phone call logs, dates are shown correctly. No idea why this is?

    Weird.

Try a reboot simple: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

See if the dates agree now.

  • The phones call log smart blackBerry does not display date/time/period of appeal...

    YET to learn... I know...

I like to call log to be separated from my "messages"...

But I want the call log to provide information such as the time and duration of call...

In any case, the way to do it WITHOUT adding in the 'messages' list so that it gets all mixed in the e-mail and calls, etc.  I like having separate calls/messages/texts. Maybe I could just "Finish" with the "messages" application and have everything in a separate application. ?  For now, I have TEXT Messages in a single application (which I love) but my email goes to the email app and the application "messages".  Can I have a detailed call log and carry 'messages'?

    Thank you

If you can change the display of the call log. On what you are in the call log, press the key menu you and go in the Options. Then, go to the General Options. You can change the phone list view in the call log. Which shows the date of a call.

If you highlight a name, press your menu button, you can enter the story as seen looking more details about all the times that name/number was called.

  • No. phones menu item smart blackBerry to enable the services of the company?

Hello... I got my storm configuration to get work through OWA email after I got it, then we have upgraded our Exchange Server and now it requires the Services of company activated for the work given to my BB email.  When I go to Options/Advanced Options there is no menu item for "Enterprise Activation".  A colleague who has a storm showed me his Advanced Options menu and it's there.  Clues as to why I have this option or how you install?

Thanks for any help, that all the world can offer.

Hmm, I'm not even on a system of BES and I always show option in Advanced Options.  My suggestion is to just try to pull the battery of your phone for ~ 15 seconds and put the battery back in.  If it does not, see your BES administrator or contact your carrier for assistance.

Start here and if this does not work, let us know and it has other suggestions, we should be able to provide.

  • The phones call log smart blackBerry does not / nullpointer exception

I just noticed that the call log is followed not calls received or placed. It saves only the missed calls. I was also making the mistake:

Uncaught:exception.Java.lang.nullpointer exception apparently since this issue started. Any thoughts on how to solve this problem? Thank you.

I suggest (IF you want) to scroll to the top of the newspaper to call messages > Menu > view folders > call log > Menu > delete everything prior. This should remove the call log.

You can also open the Desktop Manager > Backup/Restore > advanced and on the right pane will be your BB device databases. Find the call log and press CLEAR.

Then, while power is on, remove the battery and restart the device.

    See if the problem persists.

So, how can I connect my BlackBerry smart phone to the internet via a bluetooth connection?

    Hi Michael,

You must create a connection switched to solve the problem:

    Please follow the steps:

    a. click on the blue Windows logo at the bottom of the screen, then click on 'control panel '.

    b. double-click on "Network and sharing Center." If you don't see this icon, click on "Classic view" in Windows Vista. In Windows 7, click on the "view by:" drop-down menu and select 'small icons '.

    c. click on "Set up a connection or network" on the left side of the window. Select "Set up a dial-up connection" and then click "next".

    d. type the phone number of your Internet Service provider in the box "Dial-up phone number." Type the number exactly as you need to dial it in your area - include the area code if required by your telephone company.

Enter your user name and password. The ISP gives you this information when you create your account. Check the box "Remember this password" to avoid having to enter the password each time you use the connection.

    f. type a name in the box 'Connection name' which will help you to remember which connection it is.

    g. check the box "Allow other people to use this connection" to make the connection available to all users on your computer.

    h. click the 'Connect' button to connect to the Internet service provider and save the connection. You can connect to it in the future by clicking on the logo Windows at the bottom of the screen, then "Connect To."

    For more ihelp:

Contact the wireless service provider for more information on how to connect to the internet using mobile phone on PC.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Media Sync continues to display 'Please connect a Blackberry smart phone' when the Blackberry Storm is connected to the PC

About a 2 months ago when I would like to connect my (the first storm) blackberry storm to my computer via the USB cable supplied with the phone, I was able to transfer music from my computer (itunes) to the blackberry via Blackberry Media Sync with no problems (open Blackberry Media Sync, connect blackberry to the computer via the USB port and screen Media Sync would change so that I could sync to the blackberry storm music). I didn't even have to install Blackberry Media Sync in December 2009

But now after I connect my Blackberry Storm to my computer, the screen of Blackberry Media Sync does not change and continues to display "please connect a Blackberry smartphone. I tried these tips I found online:

1.) several reboots my computer (windows vista)

2.) update/reinstall Blackberry Media Sync, then by restarting my computer

3.) reconnection from blackberry to the computer, then open Media Sync

4.) Open Media Sync first and then connect the blackberry to the computer.

5.) installation BlackBerry USB and Modem drivers (even if I can't find the USB driver for it under the Universal Serial Bus Controller when I check in the Device Manager when you go to control panel – system and Maintenance – Manager of devices, but I found a v2 COM4 and COM5 RIM virtual serial Port when you select "devices by connection" under display in Device Manager) or are RIM Serial Port virtual v2 COM4 and COM5 drivers I'm looking for?

6.) go to Options (on blackberry) - memory and make sure Media Card Support, Media Transfer Protocol (MTO) and Mass Storage Mode Support are resolved on 'On', the encryption Mode is set to 'None' and mass storage Mode Auto activate when connected, it the value "Prompt" although I tried to 'Yes' as well. It says I have 785 MB of memory space of the unit out of 879 MB total memory of the device and 7.1 GB of free space on a total of 7.3 GB of Media Card Media Card.

None of the above tips and troubleshooting tips worked. I also checked the Blackberry technical solution center but I've not found anything there that has contributed to the other. I found discussions forums online, including issues of people with 'blackberry media sync cannot connect to the device' pop up, but I have not had this pop-up. The Media Sync screen remains just the same as if I never connected the blackberry storm to my computer in the first place even if my blackberry storm recharges via the computer.

Is there something that I miss or have not yet done? What should I do?

Too bad. I went to a Verizon store and they me remove the battery and turn the blackberry. Worked like a charm and I can now use Media Sync.

Also told me that I need to update the software of the phone blackberry using Blackberry Desktop software (I have version 4 and need to update to 5) and make sure to choose to back up files when you are prompted during the update or you will lose all files, the media and info saved on blackberry.

  • Installation of phones Wizard smart blackBerry only allows me to implement the Exchange e-mail

    Hello:

I have recently reactivated my old Storm for my wife (his first smartphone). After reactivation, I tried to configure e-mail so she could check her Hotmail, but the Setup Wizard shows only one option - business with Exchange email. I know when I use to use the storm myself, I got the Hotmail and a POP e-mail account set up with no problems. What is a device problem or a problem of carrier? I had Bell activate the storm on a BlackBerry data plan (200 MB) minimal and the phone seems to work correctly (as a phone, at least!)

Double checking with Bell that he is registered on the SIM card and its account.

You will get the personal set email icon once it is bound.

Sometimes rebooting helps make the 'connection '. Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
