  I have a BB Bold 9780 with OS 6.0.294 (905) and get into serious trouble with the app world. I tried everything I read in the support forums and nothing seems to work for me!  Now, I have my phone only with the Basic apps, I mean, I haven't downloaded one. The world of the app is not installed now. When I install the 4.0.0.55 version the problem remains.

  If you try to download the latest version of App World, then make sure that your OS device using versions6.0.0.706 or higher. Then you can try to update your device OS to a higher version. Or

  You run a lower OS version then please download App World version 4.0.0.55 for BlackBerry from your browser go to  http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3 to download 4.0.0.55 on your device.

  But before you download Uninstall app world from your device, for this on your homescreen go to Options > device > application > scroll Ap world and remove it from there. Then perform a battery pull restart.then to give it a try.

  There have been some problems with the services of the AppWorld lately... most is supposed to be cleared up. Please try again. Also, please try to remove and re - install AppWorld... some have been reported to be useful. More... RIM released version 1.1.0.15 AppWorld... it is highly recommended to be on this version.

  Also, please try a hard reset: turn on, remove the back cover and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

The phone is recognized as the Curve 8900, OS is 4.6.1 and the country is the Jamaica, but there is no recognized carrier. Please help me solve this problem.   Industrial property BB OS... None of those you mention would be not compatible. When you are looking for apps, you need to find not only for the compatibility of BB, but also the numbers of model and operating system (usually large level... 4.x, 5.x vs vs v6.x... sometimes but sublevels as well).

App World is installed in the list of applications, but the icon does not appear on the homescreen even after the command show everything. Can anyone help.   Thanks for the reply. I checked deeper than the home screen and all records. Still nothing. Managed to solve the problem myself.

  Open the Options - device - applications management. Find the Blackberry app (which we had 2). Clicked on it, and then on the delete option. Removed two applications.

  After having done that, I downloaded the program from Blackberry App World from the internet using the phone and reinstalled. Problem solved. Icon now appears on the home screen

  Am I the only one who finds the whole App World implementation to be annoying beyond all utility?

  My first and the biggest complaint is that the ONLY way to browse ALL applications, descriptions, and comments via the application App World, himself installed on my BB ("BOLD", AT & T, BIS). If you go on the site of the App World online with a PC, all you can see are 'Featured Apps' with a paragraph or less description, if that.

  OK, try this first, perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.   If after that, yet you can not, I try to re-isntalling AppWorld. Go to Options > device > application and delete AppWorld. And then reinstall it from your BlackBerry browser at www.blackberry.com/appworld

  I had period Deluxe on my 8330 and when I recently spent the 8530 I get this message "Period Deluxe is not available for download from Blackberry App World." when I tried to reinstall the application. I pulled the battery and it still does not work. I even tried to take the app from my 8330 through the phone on Blackberry Desktop switch option, but it still does not work.

  I have the Blackberry App world, with my new phone, so I can not image what could be the problem.

  The app is for all devices and I have 5.0 on my phone. All my other apps switched very well. I contacted the company that created the application, but they have been a great help because I did not have my proof of purchase by e-mail and have only the email with the code acitivation.

  I have boost mobile are limited things on what I can and cannot remove.

  The company finally gave me a new code of the application after a few emails back. This still does not resolve why Blackberry App world gave me the message saying that it was not available for download yet showed in my world as uninstalled and in their research.
