NO QualcommAtheros AR9485 connection with Windows 8.1

When I installed Windows 8.1 (64-bit) on my laptop a Pavilion G7 2272ED my drivers Ethernet and WIFI are correct working but I can not connect with internet with WIFA as well with Ethernet.

I must go back to windows 8 (64-bit) and everything works fine.

What is the problem and how can I solve this problem.

HI Pvbaak,

Nothing wrong. When you upgraded to win 8.1, it may be the cause.

As you can see in the Microsoft community discussions

w.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/CompatCenter/ProductDetailsViewer?Name=Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network adapt & vendor = Qualcomm Atheros & Type material = & tempOsid = + 8.1 Windows

You can use the new QualcommAtheros AR9485 victory 8.1 driver, he could solve the problem

Driver - http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/desktop/h1100408.exe

Even if it's on another page, the driver should work, release date is 16.Oct.2013, it is the most recent.

Download, install, reboot.

GOOD LUCK, good luck!

  • Unable to connect with Windows 10 WNDA4100!

I just upgraded to Windows 10 about 2 days ago and as soon as I upgraded my network WNDA4100 adapter stop working. The LED lights is no longer when it is plugged. I went to the website NETGEAR and downloaded the latest firmware that says it's compatible with Windows 10. After I installed the firmware, I go to Device Manager and click Properties in the adapter and I get this error message:

Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

    {Unable to load device driver}
HS device driver could not be loaded.
    Error status is 0 x %x

I tried to run the installation of the firmware in 8 of windows compatibility mode that has been suggested by others, but it never ends installation. It does not lock to the top, but nothing ever happens. NETGEAR is not willing to help me a little bit because it is longer than 90 days, blah blah. If anyone has the same problem, I would be very happy to help. I am currently using a very long ethernet cord running from my living room. Really, I don't want to have to buy another card and with windows 10 being so new, idk this new adapter would work even.

I just updated to Windows 10 and had a similar problem (driver works, but could not connect at 5 GHz). I dug through some forums and found problems similar to mine (and maybe yours?).

This link has a great miracle possible reason as to why you are facing this problem.

  • No wifi connection with Windows 8.1 on Lenovo Flex 2-14

I have a new Lenovo Flex 2-14 with Windows 8.1 about this yesterday, but I can't connect to my wifi network. In the status bar, there are always Red Cross (not the yellow symbol) and no network is all.

I read that many users know this, so I tried several drivers but none of them works. I have tried the one preinstalled on the D drive, the most recent on the Lenovo site and also some that I found via Google when I searched my wifi adapter (this is a Realtek RTL8723BE). But as I said, no driver does.

Does anyone have an idea what I could do? This is a brand new laptop, so I didn't change any settings.

When you check the status of the internet connection with PC tools, the correct network is indicated and shows an excellent signal strength. The status is: "absorbing the network address. However, nothing happens.

Under 'Repair the wireless network connection', it shows, "Windows is taking the following steps: your IP address renewal" even once, nothing happens.

Under hardware I show Atheros Wireless Network Adapter and the mention: "this device works correctly.

Yet, no network connection. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Keep the changes and open the wireless. For example, to disable security in the router (turn on when to managed to connect).

You can also try the wireless in a friends house, or an Internet café to get a frame of reference for this behavior elsewhere.

    -------------------

    Wi - Fi in general.

These steps and tell us where is the breaking point.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

The wireless card drivers much also install utility wireless of the seller.

Make sure that if there are teas from Wireless Utility of seller does not work with the native Windows wireless utility (Service WLAN).

    ----------------

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled).

If possible set up the firewall correctly, otherwise totally uninstall and get rid of its remaining processes that permit the own local network traffic flow.

If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

party like Hello and NetMagic 3rd network managers can block local traffic too.

Stack TCP/IP work should look like.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

Description is the data of the card making.

The physical address is MAC of the card number.

The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

    * Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.

    * Note 2. There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

    ---------------------------------------------------

A message in the small window that says connected wireless doesn't means that you are really a valid functional connection.

Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the router.

Connection to the router means that you can enter the IP of the router base in an address bar in one go, being able to connect and configure the router menus see.

If it doesn't connect to the router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

  • WiFi is not connecting with Windows 10

Just bought an Inspiron 14 with 10 Windows, and I can't connect to my WiFi.  Yes I have tried many 'solutions' I found online, and none of them work.  My network is visible, the signal is strong, I have entered the correct network key and the computer begins to go through the login process (renewable circle dot).  Finally, he stops and says that the connection cannot be established.  All other devices I tried to connect to this network connects without any problems.  Is this a problem of Windows 10?  All the solutions out there?  Thank you.

Thanks for your suggestions.  I was able to solve the problem by logging in using the router WPS button.  I tried to connect by entering the network password, which for some unknown reason, has not worked.  So if anyone has this same problem with a new device running Windows 10 I would say you are trying to connect with the router WPS button.  Also, once I have plugged automatically kept Windows my network news, and now I connect automatically on startup.  Thank you.

  • Internet connection with Windows 8 computer issues.

    Dear Microsoft,

My internet is perfect. Other computers are perfect, but there is now a computer. An Acer Iconia Tab the W500 to be more precise. This computer had Windows 7 top and was very slow, and the internet cut into once in a while. When I went to help out, the 'detected problem' was 'a cable is not correctly plugged' and 'problem with the access point', but that is not true. The internet has worked with other devices in my house. Another reason, I know that it is not this, because he says the same thing in any other place, and then he refuses all connections in the region, to me saying 'No available networks', while everything else works!

This computer, got only Windows 8 is installed. Windows 8 is very nice, and I want to congratulate the team and very soft works. The computer has not stuck or run slowly, for now. But guess what. The internet does not work. He tells me the same thing. My uncle suggested that there was a problem with the hardware, because the computer was all erased and has a new operating system, Windows 8, but what it could be? Where would it be? This is the question I ask. Maybe I could get it fixed elsewhere? What are the causes of the internet by computer recognition which is material? Kindly, let me know. This problem as been there for years and I would be grateful, not buy a new device.

It's not that old, I got it in 2010 or 2011.

I understand it can not be a problem for Microsoft, but the contact Acer service is complicated and limit to a valid warranty. But hey, someone here can have the answer.

Also the touch screen does not work.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Thanks for the detailed description on this issue. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

This problem may be caused by damaged or incompatible network adapter drivers. If you have no compatible drivers on the computer, you may experience this type of question.

Good to know that you're happy with Windows 8, however without having to worry can solve this problem by trying a few troubleshooting steps.

To resolve this problem, I suggest to visit the computer manufacturer's website and install the latest drivers for the network card. Check if you have drivers for Windows 8.

    Hi Joe-

What troubleshooting have you to determine what was wrong with your wireless connection?  Plug you in ethernet if necessary for a stable connection, and then install all the Windows updates, and then continue to look for more, until they have been offered?  And then in Device Manager did import you all the pilots who were missing or in error?

Did you update the wireless driver from the model PC or device Web of Support download page?

You right-click the wireless connection icon in the system tray to run the troubleshooter?  What it a report?

What other measures have you taken before returning to the old operating system?

It is possible that the problem was due to corruption in the old operating system in the upgrade, where we see a lot here.  So, since you have already activated the upgrade you can now do the much superior clean reinstall Windows 10 Upgrade which reactivates and must overcome almost all problems.  We can help you sort through everything else.
