  • Two questions. (1) RIP in media player 11 problems. (2) portable speakers do not turn off when the headset is plugged...

Hey all. I desperately need help. I have a laptop "Durabook" with Windows XP meidand service pack 3 update.  The internal speakers have never turned off when I plug a headset or headphone cable of the adapter into the outlet. It is an option that I have figured out. All my other laptops have silenced the computer speakers when headphones are connected.

The most frustrating problem I have is in Media Player when you use the tab OUT, when I insert a cd Ripper in the computer, it is not recognized.  If I close and reopen WMP (Windows Media Player) cd, the cover and all the info of the cd is here and ready to be torn APART. Once the cd ends and ejects I insert another cd and nothing happens. Once again, I've closed and reopened WMP and evrything is ready to be torn APART again.

Please please help.  I can't be the only one who had this problem.  I removed all anti-virus programs, removed and reinstalled WMP, twice.

    I'd appreciate any help.

    Thank you all

  • Cannot extract or burn media in WIndows Media Player

Ive been synching songs to windows media player flash player. I reset my computer a few months back so im taking my old discs and ripping their media player. Then, I had a problem with a burnt cd, it wouldn't tear to media player, I could only put them in a playlist, and then he went to the library. Songs have error when I try to sync them with good flash drive. This cd was burned originally from this computer before I reset it and I have 18 cds like this I need help cannot know what is happening?

    Hello Samantha

Could you just clarify that the CDs you burn are in audio format (up to 80 minutes of game-time)-the ability to put them in a playlist suggests that they might be given (mp3 or wma) rather than audio, and you can only "rip" it if it is audio.

I hope that someone else may be able to suggest something about the timing (I stay away from him myself!) which can be a separate issue.

    A soon R.

  • Failed to retrieve CD - "Windows Media Player cannot find the file. ..."

original title: rip for Media Player problem.

My media player won't let me RIP cd in my library. When I try it gives me a box that says "Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you try to read, burn or sync an item that is in your library, the element can point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted. "I thought that the solution may have something to do with me going in the rip settings > more options > and hit"change"under"rip music to this location", because the box under where I am assuming that the location will has nothing in it, but when I click on it it does nothing.

    Hello

During the extraction process, the Media Player makes a copy of each song, stores it on your hard drive as a file Windows Media Audio (WMA) or MP3 compressed and then add it to your library. Check in the library, if the files are present.

  • Cannot find the rip in reading or library button in Windows Media Player 12

    Original title: no rip button

When I open media player I don't see the rip in reading or library button

I tried to copy a cd on my new desktop PC and computer laptop windows 7 OS. The CD I'm tearing a 75 WMA format songs on this is a different procedure to do? When I open the drive I get no burn button or option button

There is no need to rip data CDs containing MP3/WMA files. You can just browse the CD with Windows Explorer and drag and drop the files in your folder of music . WMA songs will automatically appear in the WMP library. Tim Baets

  • Can't change rip location media windows player

I can't rip music with my windows media player. I checked the tab "rip music" on the media players 'options '. There is no address. I pressed the buttont to "change" to get the program to select the location where my music is saved, it did not work. Just to see if something might work on the tab, I checked the box "eject the CD after extraction", hit apply and an error window open which displays a message "the parameter extraction of music could not be applied.". I thought maybe that this program is corrupted, but I can't find an icon to uninstall windows media player. What I have then checked the internet. I've seen anyone online had a program of compensation for this specific problem, but I didn't think it was smart to download on a site that I know nothing. What do you think I should do?

  • Windows Media Player 11 and IE 8 XP Pro and can't listen to a CD I ripped,.

    original title: music licensing

I am running Windows Media Player 11 and IE8 installed on XP Pro and when I try to listen to a CD that I pulled it out of my computer, a new tab opens in Firefox (my default browser), with the following message:

The license can not be downloaded because your Web browser is not supported.
To download a license, you must install Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or later.
To install the latest version of Internet Explorer, see the Windows Update page.

What do I need any type of license to, to listen to music, I ripped a CD I bought, and furthermore that the browser has to do with what ever automated procedure Microsoft Media Player must perform?

Suspecting that not having IE selected as the default browser might be interfering, I did so (something I'm not impressed about) and instead, was taken through to a Windows Media Technologies page http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/pdrm/en/welcome.asp?challenge=AAEAAZB*vUQ029QDmL5QfLzVnjGCf9din34fu*twoJQKPK0Agme7r3JqmhpZNJIHdVJ3JF20CQEtGSO6im53G7MUAjceYDRQUZXp2ghI5bYyB7kJjpvQoHFJNtNRWAvEXvv!fk7GbENwhn1K0gzMvWstLFBf3Esp9laOTsOCLqO7FqCfeYinJkeEGUevauivoM3NLAJOP4exrtgQX4zeRcujxi7W7AmLGDNRhh2qEgP1WmXh2PkzNZXwSn3QznsTK8!up58P10sX&DRMVer=1.4&embedded=false that provided some information about Licensing and Migrations and offered the opportunity to Download a License.  However, after selecting this button has encountered an error: 438 unknown error occurred when you store your license.

Where are the stored licenses and why is this is not the case with all the music I have on my computer?  Y at - it a way to wipe the slate clean for example. delete this dabase?

I would appreciate an overview of this and especially a viable solution.  Thanks for your time.

Microsoft actually has nothing to with licenses, this all started with copywrights, Pat.

CD/dvd/MFG, etc. even VCR tapes come into play... 3rd & 4th parties associated with records

& distribution band want a piece of the action, this puts some control over fraudlent records/etc...

Yes, there is a lot of BS

From there, simply download IE8, set internet options in IE, open WMP, get the license.

  • Having trouble getting Windows media player to recognize and extract some burned CD when I insert the CD, nothing comes up on the tab extract. I have licenses for all the protected songs and the same CD was ripped in the past by using media player.

My computer has a virus and before I wiped it's own, I copied all my files to blank CD I was able to extract these CDs on my computer but they are in the WMA format and I want them in MP3 format. I changed the rip settings but when I put in the CD Ripper re - it, nothing comes tab extract. I tried to delete all the files in windows media player and my computer but media player doesn't always recognize the CD tab extract. I have restored my music files from the bin to WMA, but I really need to extract the songs in MP3 format. What can I do to get Windows to recognize and tear my CD? Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you!

Make sure that there is no CD in the CD drive. Then, go to Options - confidentiality of WMP and click the button Clear the Caches . Restart WMP, and insert a CD you want to re - rip. Are you able to rip the CD now?

If it still does not work, you can try to rip the CD from another user account (if necessary, create a new user account in the control panel). Afterwards, you can move the files ripped to MP3 to your own original account. Tim Baets

  • CD will not rip using Windows Media Player in windows 7

I just had Windows 7 a few weeks ago and have had no problems until now to rip CD.

However now it shows "windows media player is unable to extract one or more tracks from the cd.

I went to TOOLS - OPTIONS - DEVICES - DRIVE, click on use a connection error (read both rip are default to digital) no change

I have gone to tab EXTRACT music and tried to drag the bar in the quality of the Audio and/or modify the rip format, but when I do I get "ripping settings could not be suppied" and they reset to original settings.

I went into the registry editor and delete the MP3 encoding rate low and still no change - it just keeps going give me the "windows media player cannot extract one or more tracks from the cd.

    any ideas?

    Open WMP

Go to Tools - Options - Rip music and see if you have a location, that music is being ripped off. I did not when I looked, it was empty.

Then go to organize - manage libraries - music, it should be a location of folder of music here, otherwise click on "add" button and add the music folder.

Now do the same for the other 3 libraries, videos, pictures and recorded tv, all should have places, remove those without a location.

    try to check out again.

I hope like me you will be out of service again.
