No satellite M115-S3094 no video or post after Bios Update

I have a Toshiba M115-S3094 with v1.20 bios and Windows XP. I read this on the Toshiba web site:

Support news
Updating BIOS for Satellite A100/A105, Satellite M110/M115 and Tecra A7

In very rare cases, the battery of your PC may stop to accept a charge, i.e., the battery no longer works and is no longer supplying power to the computer. To minimize the risk of ever face this problem, we strongly recommend that you download and install the latest version of the BIOS by clicking on the "Downloads" link that will appear when you have finished reading the news of support.

Given that I had intermittent battery problems, I thought I would update the bios to version 1.80.
After the flash system says that it needs to restart. When it restarts the power light is on, but there is no video or post.

I could do to fix this?

Any help with this is greatly appreciated,

Eric

Hello guys

I'm sorry to hear that. That's too bad. Maybe you should contact the closest to the ASP and ask if this is known issue. Maybe they learn more about this issue then direct line of agents.

  • Satellite A100-TA7 hangs at POST after BIOS update

Kind of tech swavy, I know that my chances are very low to solve this but this is.

I decided to update the BIOS on my laptop Toshiba Satellite A100-TA7(PSAA8C-TA702C) to the latest version available (6.00).

I did it because I've heard of people have better luck doing their job of FN keys on linux with the latest BIOS.
The installation is completed normally (went through all the steps, wrote to all 21 blocks) without any error, but after the reboot, I noticed that it is now displayed at the Toshiba logo screen.

The blue progress bar moves twice but got caught then about 1/3 of the way through.
To see how bad the damage was, I Press esc at the beginning of the POST and saw that it gives me the right Version of the BIOS (6.00).

He also told me that "no TPM or TPM has problem" and "2039 M RAM Passed system."
It then displays the message "Press to enter SETUP" (which makes the message disappears, but otherwise doesn't do anything.

If I press f2 during the Toshiba logo screen, it replaces the message at the bottom with "Please wait" and nothing happens even after an hour of waiting.
(Which makes sense, because before the bar blue everything would load before entering the CMOS settings). The thing is that the BIOS is not really "freeze", it gets stuck just at a specific place (I know because I can press F2 even after an hour of waiting and the laptop meets it by displaying "Please Wait".)

Someone at - it no more things I could try? Thank you

    > I decided to update the BIOS on my laptop Toshiba Satellite A100-TA7 (PSAA8C-TA702C) to the latest version available (6.00).
I wonder about your BIOS version that I know, that the laptop series is designed for the Canadian market. It s a Canadian series and the BIOS or drivers should be downloaded from the Canadian site of Toshiba!
Bad BIOS could cause issues like this it describes your message above!

    > I did it because I've heard of people have better luck doing their job of FN keys on Linux with the latest BIOS.
Keys FN Toshiba need driver Toshiba and it turns out that Toshiba driver pages don t offer the drivers for Linux distributions, so I put t believe in the story spread by any people.

    I don t want to write a long story, so I would cut this now;
Is that something was happening during the BIOS update process.
Either you have used a procedure to update the BIOS or wring wrong and so the laptop can not pass the MESSAGE

You will need to contact the local ASP to solve this problem, maybe you're a lucky guy and the technician should Flash the ROM module but in the worst cases, your motherboard is damage and must be replaced. :(

    Good luck

  • Satellite A100 PSAA8E: Cannot boot from USB after Bios Update

    Hello

I downloaded the latest bios (v6) for my satellite a100 (psaa8e) and after the update of the old bios, I noticed that I can not boot from USB. Is there a way to restore the old bios or will this problem solved?

    See you soon
    MB

And before you can update the BIOS you were able to start the bootable CD from the external optical drive USB drive facilities?

To be honest I really don't believe it. Try to connect USB FDD and you will see that the FDD is recognized and you will be able to use it as first boot device.

  • Re: Satellite A135-S7403 does not pass the POST after BIOS update

    Hello

    I A135-S7403, I know it's old, but well, I worked until I installed a new version of Bios (1.90 for Satellite A130 (PSAD0U/PSAD3U) on the official website of Toshiba (here: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=1854878& rpn = PSAD0U & modelFilter = & SelCategorie = 3 & selFamily = 10 73768663).)

All installed no problem, but when I restart the laptop, it does not start.
It freezes on screen with red writing "in touch with tomorrow TOSHIBA" and I can't do anything.
What should I do? And why this official update broke down my computer?

    Hello

Something has gone wrong with your update of the bios, this is why the Tower cannot start. Also, can you enter the Bios itself?

  • Satellite Pro A300-1DZ cannot find HDD after BIOS update

    Hello world

I recently bought a Satellite Pro A300-1DZ flea market.
Put a new copy of Windows xp family.
I then install all the drivers necessary own site of Toshiba and the end of it, I thought that it is perhaps a good idea to update the bios?

OH DEAR what a big mistake.

Now the netbook won't start windows.
So I thought it's ok, I'll just start from the begginning and reinstall windows again, but he tells me that it cannot find a hard drive on my netbook?

    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I'm going crazy,
Could someone tell me please how to fix this? Thanks x

    Hello

I think the value of the option SATA AHCI and hence Windows XP mode cannot find the HARD drive.
It's because of the SATA controller.
You can set the SATA AHCI compatible mode mode mode and this will allow you to install Win XP on the laptop without the use of SATA drivers.

So, you have two options if you want to install Win XP:

-> AHCI mode, but you must include the SATA drivers
Compatible mode-> Win XP installation possible without SATA drivers

  • Satellite A200 - Touchpad scroll function stop working after BIOS update

    Hello

After that I updated the BIOS (drawn from the Toshiba site), the scroll function stop working. I can still click, move the mouse pointer, but can no longer navigate the touchpad. Relocation of Synaptics driver is not the problem. The strange thing is that the computer detects only my touchpad as standard pointing device (port: PS/2) device. "Graph of pressure" and "Moodpad" function also stop working and complain "this program requires a Synaptics TouchPad, and the Synaptics Pointing device driver.
My computer is Satellite A200 PSAE0C-TR605C.

    Anyone know the reason?
    Thank you

    Hello

What operating system is installled and which is more interesting: what version of BIOS you have installed? Why I ask? Because there are 2 different BIOS versions, one for Vista (1.80) and one for XP (5.20) which means that when you Flash a BIOS XP on a computer with Vista installed then some functions do not work properly as the FN keys or the touchpad.

If please check this out and make sure you have the appropriate BIOS installed.

    Welcome them

  • G530-4446-24U takes FOREVER to POST after BIOS update

    Hey,.

I just installed Win7 Pro 64-bit one a few hours ago and lost the ability to adjust the brightness of my screen.  After installation of the chipset and power management drivers that I still had no luck.  So I updated the BIOS with this file.

Now everything works fine once I started in Win7, but it takes a very long time to POST when I push the power button.  I've not timed, but there seems to be more than 60 seconds before having anything that is displayed on my screen.  If it does not start a POST, it works very well at the expected speed.  Also, it restarts when trying to wake from its slumber and the same problem, as mentioned above applies as it should POST again.

Y at - it an update of the BIOS more suitable for my machine, or is - what a terrible bug that needs to be developed?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Satellite U - LAN cable does not work after bios update

    Hello

I recently installed upgrading the Bios that was detected automatically, and it seems to work fine. However, my LAN cable no longer works to connect to the internet. When I try to diagnose the problem, I tells me that I need to make sure that the cable is connected, but I can assure you that the cable is well connected.

The cable worked fine just before the update to the Bios and I know it is not a problem with the connection of the cable itself because my other laptop always connects very well with it.

    Please can you help.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Need drivers for Satellite M115-s3094

    Hello

I have a Satellite M115-s3094, I had problems with my OS which was Windows XP MCE, but I couldn't fix it. So I got fed up and loaded in windows XP Professional, but a lot of my drivers are gone.

I need drivers for Ethernet controller network controller, PCI device, flash memory, USB controller, SM bus controller, video controller... plus I have no sound. It is an Intel centrino duo... as you can see miss me a lot of pilots.

Could someone tell me how can I find out what kind of driver I need and where do you get them from? Win XP SP2 installation would install one of these drivers?

Any help at all would be much appreciated...

    Thank you all...

I have the same problem. I just need the drivers for the Ethernet controller and a PCI device. I guess that the PCI device is the wireless card.
I tried all the drivers on the Toshiba site, but none seems not to work.

    Please help us.

  • How to clean my keyboard Satellite M115-S3094

I already posted this time. How to clean UNDER my keyboard on my Satellite M115-S3094?

I really need to know how to get the keyboard up, or do I have to remove each key for this? Someone please help.

    Thank you...

    Do you mean this thread?
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/message.jspa?MessageID=113741#113741

It of possible to remove only the plastic of the keyboard keys.

Then you can try using a vacuum cleaner and could thoroughly clean dust and debris from the keyboard.

    Best regards

  • Satellite M115-S3094: no sound on internet

I've disabled the sound driver on my laptop, then allowed him. I have sound if I play a CD or computer laptop itself but not of her on the internet.
    It's a Satellite M115-S3094 running Win 7. Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    > I don't have sound if I play a CD or computer laptop itself but not of her on the internet.
This means that its driver is OK and it s installed.
I think that the wave volume control has been disabled or set to the lowest level

Go to control panel-> sound-> playback control and check the volume level for all devices placed in the reading tab

PS: the Read tab you must enable "hidden devices" and "disabled devices" by right-clicking and by checking options...

  • Satellite M115-S3094 freezes after RAM upgrade

    Hello

    I just added Corsair - 2 x 2 GB 200 PIN SODIMM DDR2 667 mhz memory to my laptop Satellite M115-S3094.

Earlier I had 512 MB included with the laptop. The problem is that sometimes the computer starts and freeezes, none of the buttons work and I have to hold the button for 10 seconds to turn off and restart the computer. Sometimes I restart 2-3 times until it works.

If there is any problem after commissioning, then I find myself using the laptop for hours like now and I won't have any problem until I restart.
This all started when I upgrded memory. I tried to re install and it did not help.

I would appreciate any help from anyone who has faced such a problem. I also have windows xp home edition.

On the casablenca system, it shows 4 GB but used is only 2 GB. I even deleted one of the sticks, but I still have the same problem.

    Hello

I think that the problem is without a doubt for new modules of memory installed
Maybe the modules aren't 100% compatible or failed modules

I guess the laptop ran correctly with the old module of RAM.
This would confirm my hypothesis and I think you should test the specifications with the other s RAM

What kind of discs that you use to burn and that is happens with CDs or DVDs?
I have good experience with Verbatim CD and DVD-R as well as TDK discs.
Then maybe you should check it with a high quality disc.

In addition, you should look for an update of Nero. You can find it on the site of the factory.

Last but not least I would like to delete upper and lower filters in the registry. That's why check of workaround from Microsoft:
