No scanning with hp PSC 1410 printer and a Mac

I used an all-in-one hp PSC 1410 with a PC running Windows XP and everything worked fine.  Now, I had to connect it to a Mac and I can't use the scan function.  I think that the driver is installed in my Mac does not include the scan function.  I looked for a driver on the hp site and everything I found was drivers with all functions only for Mac OS X 10.6.  My Mac is Mac OS 10.5.8.  Where can I download a driver that includes the function of scan to my Mac?  Or do I have to by another hp all-in-one?

Have you tried this?

    4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory

ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT 128 MB graphics

    Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G 63)

    HP Photosmart more B210

Yesterday during the attempt to analyze a doc, for the first time the scanner would not work.  I don't remember to make the recent software updates, but I can do it.

Since that time, I spent 8 hours scouring the Apple and the HP Forums looking for and trying solutions.  With the software update on my iMac, all software is up-to-date.  I have a reinstallend HP software and their updates.   I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers.  I deleted

During these 8 hours, I was able to scan a doc once, but could see the doc in the HP Scan 3 window and could not properly size 8.5 x 11.  Again, I could see the doc, but at this moment it would be printing.

Many solutions suggest I can get Print Scan in system preferences.  While all other windows are available in system preferences, when I click on print scan the 'wheel of death' round and round.  This morning I left it run for 3.5 hours and never connected.

Can't find the right solution to this problem.  ... Help please.

How long is the USB cable? I know that sounds flippant, but too long of USB, cables can cause some problems.

The only other thing I can think to set up the wireless printer, if it's possible for you. I don't know if it will work, but honestly, I started scrapping the bottom of the barrel now until we can try.

  • How to use windows scan with the new canon printer is connected and the copy and printing, but can't seem to be able to use the technique of scan windows

How to use windows scan with my new canon MX 922 printer.  It is conncected and copying and printing but can't seem to use the windows scan option, the cannon that which for me is slow thanks

All in one, type printers (print, copy, scan) usually have a very specific set of instructions during the installation.  If not followed exactly the probability is that the scanner will not work.

    Canon: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer

Download and read the Setup instructions for your model, have you followed the instructions exactly, more precisely when to connect the printer / scanner during installation of the software process?

  • HP PSC 1410 printer does not not with WIN8.

New Gateway PC 64 bit, bought 11/2012, printer worked very well until I uninstalled and reinstalled WIN 8, then hurt.  Downloaded and installed the drivers according to the directives of the HP.  Printer has worked for only 1 print, then began to leave the impression that print jobs, would not print and would not delete.  First time it happened, I could go to the Panel, devices and printers, and sometimes I could erase Quebec, but not always.  Using Print and Scan doctor, considers HP printer was not a default printer and it corrected that.  I had not been able to choose by default in Control Panel, but print and scan Doc could choose.  Another problem with WIN 8 after reinstalling, it would be the list of available wireless connections, but that has been resolved by going to Configuration and choose "default to load.  On the HP website, HP said they work with WIN 8 to solve the problems with the new drivers, but so far, WIN 8 seems to cause problems.  I realize that print jobs stuck in Quebec, can be a symptom of weak communication between PC and printer, but it worked very well up to WIN 8.

If you do not already see this:

http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html and follow the Instructions and download and install all the drivers/software for windows 8. Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

  • How to set up Windows Fax and Scan with Brother MFC-7440N printer/all-in-one

Hello, I'm trying to set up Windows Fax and scan using my all-in-one Brother MFC-7440N printer/fax/scanner.

When I go into the Windows Fax and Scan menu, I'm going to Fax > tools > accounts Fax. Then I select 'Add '. When he asks, I then select "Connect to a fax on my network server." But I don't know the name of my printer/fax/scanner when he asks "Type the fax server location."
    How to find the name?
    Help, please! Thank you!

    Hello

You can include the MFC-7440 printer named fax in the \\IP addressname of \\Printer' and check.

  • Firefox will not print on my HP PSC 750 printer and loses all formatting when you try to print to the printer Brother HL-5240

I have no problem with one of my printers when printing 11.7 before or IE 6.0.2800.1106 but cannot print from Firefox 3.6.13 (or earlier).
When you try to print to the HP PSC 750 inkjet printer, a "Print" dialog box appears, showing the title: xyz and a progress meter showing 100%, but it's be covered almost immediately by a second dialog box stating "an unknown error has occurred while printing" and, even if the continuous printer saying 'impression', no printing is taking place.

When you try to print to the Brother HL-5240 laser printer, printing will take place, but all formatting is lost and what comes out is a block of text unintelligible running.

What can / should I do to get Firefox to print correctly on my two printers?

    1. print.print_printer reappears after printing something. This pref is the last printer used, so when you reset the prefs it does not appear until you print something.

    2. that your problem with printer HP reappeared quickly, try a new profile.

    http://KB.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_new_Firefox_profile_on_Windows

    3. with regard to the preferences for the old printers, if reset you these Pref they don't come back (assuming that you do not select accidentally printers or printer drivers are uninstalled).

  • Fill out and return to zero problems with Deskjet 3052 has printer and cartridge 61xl black

Yesterday, my new 61xl OEM black cartridge ran out of ink. I had it only for a few weeks, but this cartridge made of course go fast (faster than the startup cartridges, I swear!). This is a printer at home that is used only by me for personal use.  I wonder how much ink was in it when I bought it. Of course, they don't disclose the ml on the packaging more... how convenient for them, huh?

In any case, I decided to fill up again. It was my first attempt for this printer and a total failure. I did some research. I used 2 other cartridges to fool the technology of memory without result. Online instructions for which parts of contact on the Strip are either nonexistent for this cartridge or are as clear as mud so I couldn't try it again... This is where it would have been a picture is worth a thousand words.

It would be a very good alignment page printing. So I think it was successful. But when I tried to print or copy something, it would print the upper part and act like it ran out of ink down. The same thing with trying to clean the print heads. He will start the black stripe and stop about two thirds of the way through. There was less black to have with each successive cleaning, I've tried. If I started on the first cleaning would have the same generous amount of black ink, but decrease as before. I was losing the ink in my brand new color cartridge so I stop messing with it.

I received errors to gogo (not OEM! False! The sky is falling!). The ink is obviously coming out of the cartridge, so it's not the problem. All I know is that I have a good full of the same black refill ink oem cartridge that I use in HP cartridges for years.

I don't really like what is happening to this piece of crap cheapo printer so I am not interested to hear how HP has my best interests at heart. What about someone gullible. If I mess up with cheapo ink, then what? And counterfeiting BS is a bogus excuse too.

Yesterday I had to go out and buy a new cartridge. So today, I found a printer as I used to have (1315) for $20 on Craig's list. Heck, I have tons of cartridges 56, 57 and 58 for this baby and you can charge for this printer throughout the day. I not picking that up next week but then if someone knows how to bypass attempts to be GREEN with this printer and cartridges, of course I understand the help. Maybe who contacts on tape cartridge? Or the head of which HP exec throw this printer to? I'm open to suggestions. Otherwise, the next cartridge runs out in this waste of time and money, it just goes straight to a landfill where it belongs so it won't be wasting someone else's time or money. Thank you!

It seems that you have introduced an air bubble in the cartridge drain pipe, resulting in starvation of ink you print.

Pageyield of HP's site lists the 61xl 8.5 ml cartridge.

  • Scanning with HP PSC 2355 all in one printer/scanner/copier.

In XP, the software enabled mutiple scans (in pdf format) to a single file. Is there an option in windows 7 to do scans of mutiple in the options of the printer?  Is there a way to get an output of pdf file?

You want to scan multiple pages into a pdf file?  The 3rd party below program works with most scanners.  It sells for $ 29.95.  You can download a free 30 trial to try out it if you wish.  (I looked for a program free and tried a bit, but none were any good.)

  • PSC 1410 printing problems, no errors but printing is delayed and often deleted

    Hello
It's about a year since the printer is faced with these problems:
-Whenever the printer is turned on it prints the test page (seems to me that it remains in the memory printing process), this occurs even when the PC is not connected
-Whenever you ask to print a document, the process is pending, but printing does not start actually, it happens sometimes that spending a few minutes (or 20), printing is successful.

    Power cord and USB are fully functional;
The copy function and the scanner works perfectly.

I already tried to uninstall the drivers and install the updates, but problems remain.

Now I am running Windows 7, but problems occur also in the printer connected to another computer running Windows XP.

What could be a possible solution?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

I have seen this before, but on some other products.  The solution seems to be "complete alignment" piece of printer setting.  I've attached the link to the document.  See if that helps...

  • Problems scanning with c6150 all in one and Windows 8

I have a new touchsmart from HP running Windows 8. I have an old printer c6150 all in one. I downloaded and installed the latest software and drivers for 64-bit Windows 8.

I feel, copy and fax without problems. But when I try to scan, it freezes. It starts to scan and then just stops responding. I have to use Task Manager to quit the program. I tried the scan doctor and he says that there is a driver problem and it cannot communicate with the printer.

    Help, please.

I solved the problem. The USB cable from the printer was not quite long enough to reach the back of my all in one computer, so I bought a USB extension cable. That works fine for normal printing, but apparently only works well for scanning.

Once I connected the printer directly to the USB port on the computer, the scan function worked normally.
