The problem is that the machine freezes completely without apparent reason, on all operating systems, I tried.  "Freezes", I mean there is no reaction to the mouse movements, keyboard presses and start button / stop pressed off the coast.  The gel seems to be at a random time and may occur even when the system is idle.

The Acer Travelmate 7750 G laptop came pre-installed with Windows 7 and it kept freezing.  The machine has been updated level of Windows 8, 8.1, 10, then dual boot with Linux Mint 17.3.  The machine froze on all operating systems.  I have tested software hard drive, memory, CPU, GPU and they all managed very well.  Is it someone who has knowledge about how to resolve or others troubleshoot this please?

Hi newbie here so please be gentle!
I have an Acer Travelmate P256 M purchased recently for music production and want to increase the RAM of 4 GB to 8 GB. I bought the relevant stick of RAM, but when I came to install it, I realized there was no obvious hatch on the base of the laptop to access the RAM slots. • Is it easy to change HARD SSD drive on Acer TravelMate P246-M - 53T 2 14 "Laptop?

Interested by Acer TravelMate P246-M - 53T 2 14 "Lpatop and that you want to upgrade to an SSD, it is simple to swap the disks or the hard drive built into the Board of Directors?

Any information on this would be appreciated.

    Thank you

It should be a regular SATA HDD and exchanges with a SATA SSD. I can't find guides to do this on a TravelMate P246-M - T 53, 2. Unless it has a door down to access the HARD disk and memory, you probably need to remove everything down. To the Acers you can take all the screws on the bottom and gently, she jump off and some will be tied down, so much, be careful of who and static damage electronics.

  • ACER Travelmate 5760 with Windows 10, cannot detect the external projector

I have an ACER Travelmate 5760. I have upgraded to Windows 10, because Microsoft is launching a few checks and said that I would be able to upgrade. But now, the laptop cannot detect an external projector or monitor. Is there a driver that I need to improve?

    Thank you

    Winifred

When you connect your projector, if you press the windows logo key + p, are you able to select expand and check if the projector work?

also, if you right-click on your desktop and choose the settings display, is the acknowledged projector?

    How to connect the projector?

on the drivers, you try to uninstall the real Intel VGA driver and reboot with your laptop connect on the web and let windows update find new drivers as appropriate.

  • Acer Travelmate 5744z does not start, Option not Bios

    Hi,
IAM having an Acer Travelmate 5744z laptop and it installed Windows 7.
Yesterday I forgot to stop the laptop while I sleep and today morning when I turned it on it started reume windows, then I accidentally pressed the power button and it is just off. So I pressed the power button again and tried to turn on the system, but it showed something like "Delete restoration data and proceed", so I clicked on this point, BAM my phone fell in bootloop.
Current condition: menu Acer comes when you press power button No. BIOS options aka F2 Menu appears, then a dash (-) comes on a black screen and then returns to the screen of the acer.
If someone knows to fix it please help me.

If you put an installation disc or a system repair disc into the CD/DVD and start, there is a good chance that it starts from the disk. No need to go into Bios.

We do not expect the additional drivers that will be displayed for this series.

  • Route change ACER Travelmate 240 hard drives.

I have an Acer Travelmate 240 and you want to change the hard disk, in the former, we're always running out of virtual memory. I have windows XP home on my original HARD drive, although not an XP installation disc, I have the key to windows XP Edition family product Acer incorporated. I have the disks provided by ACER, when I bought the computer. Can anyone tell me if it is possible with what I have and how to do it.

    Just for info:

If you mean that you see a message like this:

Virtual memory minimum too low: your system is low on virtual memory.  Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file.

It is a configuration problem and has nothing to do with the amount of space on your hard drive.  It could be that you need to set the configuration of your system or you do not have an enough RAM your system to meet the needs of XP and your installed applications.

The Acer Travelmate 240 I think that has either a 30 or 40 GB hard drive... not huge by today's standards then you will enjoy flexibility when you receive your new HARD drive running!

While you wait, if you want to continue the virtual memory too low message, here's how:

If you mean that you see a message like this:

Virtual memory minimum too low: your system is low on virtual memory.  Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file.

This means that Windows XP is to let you know that he does his work.  The message is not an error message - this is an informational message.

If XP thinks that the size of the swap file (usually c:\pagefile.sys) is too small to accommodate your day-to-day transactions, it will adjust the paging file to expand the pagefile and display this message as it does.  It is not necessarily a 'problem', but the message is boring.

Sometimes, the message indicates someone was tampering with the XP of the paging file settings to try to solve another problem that usually has nothing to do with their paging file and resolve things inefficiently.

This could mean that the settings have been adjusted for certain values that don't make sense for the configuration of the system.  Unless we know the system better, you can't just pick certain values out of the air and that your system behaves effectively.  You might not see the message again, but this does not mean that the settings are correct.

This could mean that the settings have never been properly in the first place when you first install of XP and things must be properly configured.

Sometimes, as your system configuration changes over time and other applications are running and get bigger, you may add additional RAM to your system to accommodate things (or run the number of requests).

At least that learn you more about managing memory than Windows XP, it is usually best to simply let XP manage the size of your virtual memory paging file.

To see what your current, make settings right click post work, properties, advanced, performance settings, Advanced tab, virtual memory, and then click the button change.

Make a note of the current settings in case you need to change their return more later.

The best setting for the size of swap file is usually going to be:

    System managed size

Right click my computer, properties, Advanced tab, Performance... Settings, Advanced tab, virtual memory... Change.

Note the current setting, so you can change things later if you have a problem.

If it is already done, on the size of swap file:

    System managed size

Don't forget to click on Set (to be defined), OK (several times) and then restart your computer.

Windows XP will attempt to affect a swap file approximately 1.5 times the total amount of RAM installed on your system.  To manage the size of paging file Windows XP is enough for most configurations.

If your system is not set to the size of the managed system, you must determine how it changed and why (usually a bad reason), make a note of the current settings to change them back later if necessary, and then change the setting to the size of the managed system, click on the Set button and then click on apply to apply the changes (you will be asked to restart).

"Because someone told me to" is not a good reason to start making adjustments to the size of pagefile.  Setting just above to enlarge it by an arbitrary value can ease the symptoms of the problem and stop message, but may not result in the best configuration for your system.

If you want your system to operate as efficiently as possible, you must understand what is happening and fix it properly and not only begin to try things or make some arbitrary adjustments.

The size of the pagefile can really need adjustment, but you should at least try to know what you're doing and why you need to do.  It is unlikely that anyone can tell you how to adjust your settings properly without more information.

If you don't know what are the best settings, or if you are not sure what should be your settings, follow these steps:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

Click OK, and when the system info summary appears, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here in your next reply.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and what appears to be personal information for you, simply delete the personal information of the pasted information.

This minimize back Q & A and eliminate the guesswork and assumptions.

  • Impossible to install Win 7/8 on Acer TravelMate P253-E

    Hello
I have a problem with the Acer TravelMate P253-E. A friend asked me help choosing phone for basic use, so I recommended it. Now I have at home, due to a problem with the installation of Windows 7.

Instalation works well until the moment after a restart (the time when installed Windows should illuminate). Laptop restarts again and still not be able to run Windows.
    I tried to install several versions of Win7 x 64 and x 86 Win8 also x 64 and x 86.

Windows 8 is almost the same thing, but it gives some information:
He writes the error message: "your pc came across a problem..." "and also"IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"
Then the laptop restarts and displays the same error again. After several reboots, he writes that there was a problem during Windows startup and it recomendsme to do auto repair with disc (I tried but it did not help).
I'm sure that the drives are OK because I used the same retail disk on my laptop a month ago, without any problem.

Being curious, I tried to install Windows Vista x 86 on it and it worked fine (only problem is that it's Vista and my friends won't and this more, there are no drivers for it).
Also haven't tried Lubuntu, with the same results - no problem.

I think that it should not be a problem like this with all new laptop.
Can you please help me what I need to do?

Problem is "solved", thank you for reading my data of the problem.

This was probably caused by a driver included in Win7 and Win8 which was not compatible with the laptop.

It has been solved in 8.1 Windows instalation so if you want to buy windows for this machine, buy Windows 8.1

    Hello
My Acer TravelMate 3273WXMi audio service does not work properly. I use an Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.5413_VistaX86 on W7 driver. The problem is no outside speaker and not micro.

    2 things:

-Why you are using Vista drivers with W7? No, there is no specific driver for W7 (search the website of Acer support for your machine).
-you will never get full nombreauses for help, these drivers.

  • cursor jump guard back when you tap on my acer travelmate 5720

Help! cursor guard back mid sentence. need to keep the control she repeatedly jumped, driving me crazy. also page pulls up when I press the SPACEBAR smetimes. My travelmate is a laptop. I'm doing something wrong? Be grateful for all the answers. Thank you

Hi, I solved the problem of words jumping on when I type.

I found the answer on the site is difficult.

On the second row of keys, you should find a key that says mine Fn is blue in color. It should be next to the Ctrl key pressed.

The function keys F1 F2 etc. are very over the row.

If you press the Fn key and F7 key and hold a few seconds, this should clear the pointer or the I symbol that appears in the test region when you type.

When you want to move the pointer, or I have symbol once again, just to quell the Fn key and the F7 key, and your pointer or I'll come again.

  • Acer TravelMate P653 - fan noisy at startup

I didn't not use my laptop for Christmas as I was away. He was left connected to the power grid, but turned off.

The first time I started after my return started abruptly fan when starting Windows message appears. It remains then to near maximum speed, long after everything had loaded. It's never happened before.

I managed to work around it by pressing Fn + F4 which puts the laptop in mode 'sleep'. After several seconds, the powers of the fan facing downwards.

If I then press a key to wake up the laptop everything which is very good and the fan does not work at high speed. I hear him quietly running in the background.

For the rest of this session, the fan is behaving itself. But when I start the laptop from the cold the entire process starts again and I have to repeat the actions to turn it off.

I'm puzzled why he did this. I uninstalled and reinstalled Acer ePower Management v6.0 through the eRecovery Management utility but it made no difference.

I also checked the BIOS (F2 at startup) and can see nothing that affects the speed of the fan.

Any help to fix this problem would be appreciated.

    PROBLEM SOLVED!

In the end, it was something simple, but I really don't understand why this action fix.

With the laptop off, I removed the battery then removed the power cable. I then put the battery and reconnect the power cable.

Propelled to the top that the laptop and the fan do not supply at maximum speed.

Thanks for your help Lawrence and I hope this can help others.
