  First of all, you must check the Device Manager if there is some yellow exclamations points.
  If this isn't the case, then all devices are recognized correctly.
  In the second step, you should check the options and sound device in Control Panel.
  Check all controllers, if they are set to max.
  Check if the mouse works on the second USB port. Check all ports.
  If the mouse USB doesn t work then I recommend to remove the USB ports on the Device Manager and unplug the USB mouse.
  After restarting again the ports should be recognised again. Then try to reconnect the mouse.

  The phone otherwise works as expected: sounds and vibrations are working perfectly, so this is (probably) not a hardware problem. I didn't have any problem with the phone (phone calls, cards, applications etc) so I guess that the new version of iOS responsible and properly installed.

  Anything else I should look for?

  I recently finished ALL my windows updates in windows 8 and downloaded windows 8.1 hoping my sound and audio would work.

  It is a file you need to edit in Notepad in the game directory. I would contact the manufacturer of the game as to what exact file. I have not personally done it, but I've seen this fix on other forums. MCP. MCDST. LVL 80

  Run as administrator may be required for some games and programs because they have a permission structure different in Vista in Windows 7 (Windows 7 and Vista are different in how to manage certain permissions).

  I suggest test you installation of the game in the program by clicking on the Setup file by clicking on "Run as administrator".

  This will sometimes solve this kind of situation because it installed the program in a State of high permission.
