No sound except a beep

I removed some programs that I thought were unnecessary in Control Panel, add remove programs.  I have an Inspiron E1405 Window XP Media Center Edition SP 3.  My sound does not work after I removed these programs.  Sometimes I like beep when I get emails through Outlook.  I tried to download a few things on the Dell website, but none of them work.  Maybe I simply not download the right thing.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hello Traci. In the operating systerm audio XP does not work without an audio driver installed. You may have removed it. First of all, I would like to try using Windows system restore.

In XP, go to start > all programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore
and check the box "restore my computer to an earlier time."  Choose a date before you removed programs.

If this does not help, download and install the audio driver Sigmatel for the E1405 with XP. The instructions are on the page of the driver.

I put the earphones, they still work. After these tests, it shows my speaker is not damaged, nor is it my output port headphones

He was sitting in rice for about 20 minutes, had not fixed so I turned it rebooted and now its fine. Summer has little moisture there somewhere.

  • No sound on Windows XP except program beeps.

Two weeks ago, I have re-load the OS from disks and reformat the hard disk, because it seemed to me that it was fragmented. There has been no sound from CD, music or Internet. The OxC00d11ba error code appeared. The box of audio and audio device on the Control Panel indicates that there is no device. In Audio, audio playback, the default device is 0 # Modem line playback, but no MIDI playback device is listed.

your error code can be solved most of the time by reinstalling the audio drivers.

Go to the Dell support site and search for your PC. Download the necessary audio drivers and install them and then re - start. Like here:

    http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?os=WW1&catid=-1&dateid=-1&impid=-1&osl=EN&typeid=-1&formatid=-1&servicetag=&SystemID=INSP_DSKTP_D530&hidos=WLH&hidlang=en&TabIndex=&scanSupported=True&scanConsent=False

You will need to determine which audio device you have.

Because you formatted you must also download and install the chipset and all other hardware drivers associated with your Setup, if you want all the features.

    See you soon,.

  • Tecra 8100 - no sound except in mic!

    I have a Tecra 8100 Windows XP.

I can't get sound on the speakers or the headphones emitted by the computer, such as beeps, CD, etc. But if I have to reactivate the microphone, I can hear through the headset, ensure that the microphone picks up (there are a few comments without microphones, proving that the speakers work physically). All volume controls are the maximum and reactivated. All devices are enabled and correctly selected in sound control panels.

Any help would be welcome! Is the sound card, or am I missing a driver? Could not find anything else on the web with similar symptoms. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

A good questions and I never heard of this topic which s...

I think the fist, you should start to update the audio driver of your laptop. Therefore, you can see the Toshiba site for an update:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

Before installing the latest version, you must remove the old version first and reboot the laptop.

Maybe a reinstall of Windows with the Toshiba recovery disc could also be useful and in the worst case, it s only a hardware malfunction and it must swap the motherboard. :(

    Welcome them

  • No sound. System beep only

Yesterday, I lost my sound and seem to get only beeps. Have not changed anything and checked all connections and the control panel. How to restore the sound, please? Thank you.

Did you go through each tab and try all listed, including reinstall them the drivers from the manufacturer?
If you do not, do. If you don't know who is the manufacturer of the audio device, check that support Web site computer manufacturers. Optionally, you can click Start, click Run, type dxdiag in the Run dialog box and press ENTER. Click on the sound tab, and you should see the name.

You can also run the system restore, since the problem started recently.

With regard to exchange slots, you can search for videos that show what to do, but if you don't feel able to do it, I would not try. In addition, there is a good chance of the audio is not a stand alone card and is integrated, in which case you would not be able to try it.

  • Sound does not, beeps instead?

I got my iphone 6 s connected to a bluetooth speaker. Once I unplugged and tried to play a video through my phone, the only sound that came out was a signal strong. I doubled checked that the bluetooth is disabled. Also tried to play something from my music and no sound at all. Other sounds, like sending a message, the phone lock work very well.

Install the new bike video car XFxForce 6750 due to a bad card. now, my pc has no sound.  Driver installed in list of HP. I download the driver from reltex but are still unable to access any noise.  Manager device hardware displays but when I goto setup it says not available.

    Hello:

If the new video card has an HDMI output, it may have disabled the onboard sound.

Go into your BIOS. Looking for an embedded audio menu. It will probably have the auto value.

Change the Auto setting on " Enabled".  Save the configuration there and again when you exit the BIOS.

I hope you'll get your on-board audio back, and you should also have audio HDMI if you plug an HDMI cable from the video card to a TV.

  • I have no sound except for some system sounds, such as when you click on something that is not available.

I already checked to make sure that the sound card works and that it is not silent.  I don't know what else to do - it used to work perfectly.  My sound mixer has described "device" and "requests" and I know there were formerly sections in the mixer.  Help!

    Hi MelodyK1968,

    · What is the service pack installed on the computer?

    · What is the number and the model of the computer?

Check the State of the audio device in Device Manager. Follow the steps for the same thing:

    a. click on start

    b. click Run, in the Run dialog box type devmgmt.msc

    (c) in the Device Manager window, look for the video audio player and game controllers and expand drive, double-click the sub element to check if an error message or error code is listed.

Run the fix it from the link below and check off the results: no sound in Windows: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/help/no-sound-in-windows

Everything started to happen just about 15 minutes ago, I tried to update the drivers but they are apparently aware, restoring them is apparently not selectable. The static method only happens when I try to play something that has his (music, videos, ect.)

    Any help? :(

If you have a laptop the system drivers are obtained only from manufacturers of portable site technical support, and not from windows update, which is the method used to check if the drivers are up-to-date

Visit your support to the laptops, update the chipset and no matter which sound driver

Original title: downloads for devices sound cards/audio/active mixers
Hello, I got my laptop crash currently and when I came back, I have no sound except for the beeps. I can't hear CDs or audio files on different Web sites. I can livestream and see a video, but not hear. I plugged headphones and have the same results. I get the error codes are no active mixer device and there may be no audio device installed. I have a windows xp operating system. I don't know where to go to start a download for sound cards.
    Thank you.

We can try to install the drivers manually. It seems that every time that your device has crashed, someone reloaded Windows without having to install the device drivers.

Let's start by trying to install the audio driver first. This one we might have to do it manually, but the others should be automatic. This gives a test:
    1. go to: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzip/7z465.exe and download the 7zip archive manager
2 download, register, and install the utility on your computer
    3. once the utility installed, go ahead and re - download the audio driver package
    4. save the package on your desktop (or somewhere easy to access)
    5. once the package downloaded, find him, do a right click and choose "extract here...". "or something similar in nature. Basically we will extract the contents of the package and install it manually
    6. once the content is extracted, click START
    7. in the menu START, right-click on "Computer" and choose "Properties".
    8. in the upper left corner, click on Device Manager.
    9. find your Multimedia Audio Controller, right click and select 'Update Driver'... »
    10. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    11. click on the button 'Browse' at the top
    12. place where are the files extracted from this driver package
    13. Browse in the folder extracted and select the listed file. If there are several of those who choose an and and if it's just, the Setup will continue. If this is not the case, the installation program displays and error and then you just go back and try the alternate
    14. from there, the installer should walk you on the rest of the steps to manually install the driver package
As far as your other drivers go, I would recommend going to the bridge site and looking for a driver of Modem for your computer model. The audio driver should be supported at this stage, and the Ethernet driver can be a joint wireless adapter you have. You may need to find a driver for it on the site of the gateway, OR if you bought the adapter you need to go to the device manufacturer's Web site and get you a driver there.
    Let us know what happens
    Thank you!

  • Inspiron 6400 Sigmatel sound card does not

I have Insipiron 6400. Used if for about 20 months with no problems.

Last month the speaker into the icon has disappeared and I wasn't able to get all the laptop except the beep sounds. After a few days it started working again in itself and now again its stopped working.

    Symptoms:

    1. I am not able to find driver Sigmatel in Manager devices under sound, video and game controllers. Sigmatel icon is also not available in the control panel. It seems that the Sigmatel Audio cannot be detected.

    2. in Device Manager > system devices > Bus Microsoft UAA for High Definition Audio driver displays a yellow exclamation point.

3 Dell Diganostics tests show the following errors-

IB63:0268 - a timeout has occurred while you wait for the audio controller to generate an interrupt.

IB63:0667 - a timeout has occurred while you wait for the audio controller to generate a break in reading

    I tried Solutions:

    1. download and reinstall all the drivers available for Sigmatel whose one of the DELL CD that came with the laptop. Most of them could not install after reboot.

    2. removal of the Microsoft driver, install sigmatel and then install the Microsoft driver.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you!

  • Windows 8 Pro update replaces Conextant sound installed with a sound THAT DOES NOT WORK Microsoft! How do you get the Conextant reinstall

Installed Win 8 Pro on a Lenovo ThinkPad (SL500) #2746BKU with Vista.    Everything seems to work, but no sound except unplug the power Pak.  I downloaded all driver Conextant kits & Microsofts drivers without result.  When you check the Device Manager it shows a Microsoft sound in the SOUND VIDEO AND GAME CONTROLLERS properties.  The two see the Lenovo & Microsoft Research unanswered who worked.  Under speaker system it shows no driver installed BUT THAT WORKS WITH a BEEP when you start the machine.

HAS ANYONE FIGURED THIS OUT?  I downloaded & installed large files that don't work.  8 win changed the name of the sound chip Conextant to a manufacturer of Microsoft.  So when you try to install the drivers conextant he can't find it.  If you uninstall it still can't find it because that win 8 it changed a Microsoft legacy.

Help I sold it but not without noise.

    Hello

Try to uninstall the Microsoft drivers and resettlement the Conextant...

While you are in Device Manager try to disable the device, restart, then try Conextant drivers...

I don't know that win 8 has actually changed your device. First of all, it is not physically possible to

'replace it with one made by Microsoft', but he might have changed its identifier...

I think that what you see is a VIRTUAL Microsoft device... My machine has one of these...

A normal RealTek audio chip and an imaginary Microsoft chip. lack of a better description.

Probably your Conextant is simply not appear, what makes things appear weird...

Try to install your Conextant in Compatibility Mode drivers\software, or right click on the installer and select troubleshoot compatibility...
