• No sound in the game

  I have no sound while DirectX game says it all works fine I have the sound in windows but not in the game. I've checked everything I can and you can't operate am racing game in win xp mode compatible but sound escapes me has tried to change the settings to lower the quality always without success. any help appreciated.   B. check your audio settings in the game to make sure that the sounds are turned on and that the cursor is high enough so that you can hear them.

  C. check the meter of volume on the value max/reactivate the sound plugin window?
  Increase the volume on your speakers.
  Activate/reactivate the sound upward the audio volume level? (speaker on the taskbar icon)
  See if you have set your audio device by default:

  Can you please tell us what drivers have updated you and why? What was wrong with the old drivers?

  When you start your next portable speakers test time using preinstalled Toshiba diagnostic tool and post the result here.

  What about the temperature of the laptop. 80 c is high temperature but still not critical, and if your mobile phone is placed correctly on the desktop and the cooling fans are not blocked I think you can continue to play the games.

• Satellite P100-238: stuttering graphics and sound with the game

In fact whenever I tried to install I got the message that or the other driver is up-to-date or that I'm «not equipped for vista» Anyway to cut a long story short, I discovered www.laptopvideo2go.com when I discovered that Nvidia does not support drivers for laptops (even once cut a long and painful story short) so I used it recommended modded INF files as well as various pilots until the later. Unfortunately I still had the same problem, someone recommended it can become again the sound driver so I tried that no different.

  After further investigation on various forums, it seems im not the only person who knows these probems. On these boards, I noticed that someone had the sound and graphics too jerky and sent it for repair to have the CPU, motherboard, ram etc replaced until they found the error on the HARD drive and once replacement he was fine.

  Using this info and finally think I had put inside of it I took my laptop to the store and he was replacing, ultimately reinstalling everything and lift a game and running... guess what... still the same.
  This is totally unacceptable.

• [SOLVED] "High Definition Audio Controller" could not be started. "No audio devices installed." The Device Manager has no controller "Sound and video game. Information system has nothing under "audio devices".

  I've had my laptop for 2 or 3 years, and the sound was always very well. Yesterday morning my computer came suddenly with the sound with a red X icon. She was not dumb, and yet no sound came.   • Go to the Dell website, download audio drivers for my label service and installation. We decompress in the drivers folder and nothing happens. One will be unzip, try to take me by another plant for IDT Audio and then say 'the hardware found is not supported by this IDT' and is abandoned. I rebooted. No change.
  • Install drivers in safe mode. I rebooted. No change.
  • In administrative tools > Services, I found "Windows Audio". He had started and was on "auto". Six of its dependencies (3 parents, 3 children) had started and were to "automatic".
  • I looked at the system restore. There was a "critical update" this morning here. I restored to a point before update and restarted. No change.
  • Looked in the BIOS for an option on the sound, but could not find one. Restore the BIOS default and rebooted. No change.
  • Ran Microsoft Fix It I rebooted. No change.
  • By clicking on the audio task bar icon runs the diagnostic window thing. It detects a problem with the description: "material changes may not have been detected.

  Right, I fixed it myself.

  So I uninstalled "High Definition Audio Controller".
  But this time, instead of just turning it back on and let it install it himself, I clicked on "Analysis of the hardware changes" (under the Action). He finds that a new device called PCI something under other devices.

  Then I open up Windows Update and click on search for new updates (it also analyzes the drivers) and I think it just automatically reinstall "controller Audio high definition" and then there was no problem of yellow warning sign thing.

  If it does not, simply play in Device Manager with looking for changes on the hardware and the update of bollocks.

  If you're still stuck, try "Add inherited harware" (this will install an OLD device), click Advanced, click on "sound devices" and video games, wait a while, find a suitable device and continue the process...
