No sound on my monitor HP 2010

The sound on my screen (HP 2010) worked for many years, suddenly I have no sound. I checked all connections and they are OK. Any suggestions?

Connect a pair of speakers.  If they work then it is likely that those of the monitor do not have.

  • How to disable messages on monitor HP 2010?

So I plug the monitor hp 2010 to my PS3 with a HDMI cable to DVI. The monitor only supports the resolution of 1600 x 900. Apparently, the PS3 can only produce in 720 p or 1080 p. When I select 1080 p, the picture seems clearer and sharper on 720 p. I can see everything fine.

However, when I output in 1080 p, the "input out of range signal" message appears on my screen. Is there a way to bypass this just message or turn it off to appear on my screen?

    Hello @ivDetox,

I understand that you are looking to disable the error messages on your monitor 2010 HP. Unfortunately, your monitor doesn't have the ability to disable the error messages.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Card ATI Radeon 4570 - NO SOUND in my monitor: Please help!

    Hello

I use Sony Vaio NW160 and have been using my HDMI cable to connect to my samsung TV and it works fine.
I bought a new monitor (LG 235V) HDMI... and I am unable to get any video sound is fine. I currently have Windows Vista.
    1. the HDMI cable is fine as I tested it with my TV again
    2. the port monitor works great as my other laptop with HDMI out works fine with this monitor.
    3. the current driver ATI Radeon 4570. I tried the upgrade of the driver by using the Device Manager but I received a message saying that it is up-to-date.
I don't see any support site that talks about information about updated drivers.
Help, please! Thank you in advance!

You have HDMI on the list:

    Start-> Control Panel-> Sound-> reading tab?

If Yes, is it defined as default playback device (must be).

Try to download and install the latest graphics driver package from the manufacturer of your PC or, Alternatively, than ATi/AMD (rather than using the Device Manager directly to day).

  • U2413, Audio sound coming from monitors the headphone jack.

I have audio noise from headphone monitor U2413 plug.  My setup includes the following: XPS 15 laptop computer connected to the monitor with DisplayPort cable and the last standard headphones to the monitor.  The noise sounds like the gain is all the way to the top.  I have no audio on the computer running and still hear static noise.  I hear the sound noise cut only when I disconnect the video cable.  I tried DisplayPort and HDMI cables and still the same result.  The two cables that I know are well insulated.  Is their environment in the monitor that should get rid of this noise?

The user's Guide, States on page 9,
"Audio Out = connect the mini stereo Jack sound bar.
«NOTE: use of the helmet is not supported for the line audio output connector.»

This port is designed to be used with the Dell soundbar speakers or some other speakers. You should connect your headphones to the audio output jack of the computer.

  • Loss of the HDMI sound after the monitor stop

    System:

HP laptop computer dv9330ca on Vista 64-bit. NVidea GE Force 7600 and Conexant audio.

I have hooked the lappy HDMI cable to the TV (Toshiba 32DT2U or 32C110U, not sure) and had no sound.  Define sound from digital output (SPDIF) in Control Panel - still no sound.  Video drivers updated - make us it sound.  Update audio drivers - sound disappeared. Audio restoration pilot - still no sound. Re-install video drivers - make us it sound.  Reboot - we still have sound!  The Toshiba power on and turn it on again - no noise :( Re-install video drivers - still no sound :(

I rebooted after all the steps mentioned above.  I am aware of "the digital sound setting" in Control Panel, but it's not helping more.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

    * UPDATE *.

I thought if I have no sound HDMI anyway, I might as well re - install the latest video driver again...

HDMI sound came back after restart >.

I'm sure I have will lose it again, probably when I stopped - the system, but I thought that I'll let you know - cordially

  • Speakers JBL Xtreme works no not with MBP mid-2010. Any advise?

Everyone knows the same problem? All solutions?

I like sound from the loudspeaker (when it works).

Please, any advice or information would be useful.

    = The ISSUE =.

    Question:

My JBL Xtreme temporarily (several times a day) stops playing all the sounds of my MPB mid-2010. Requires to completely restart the Xtreme to resume playback.

    Question is this:

    (1) once the Mac will several minutes without reading sounds.

(for example, problem will NOT happen 'in the middle' of a video or a song, or between several consecutive videos).

    (2) into two entities (a purchased in 12/03/2015, then replaced by the new JBL 07/05/2016 customer service unit).

    (3) using the two separate cables headphone (2' and 6').

    Issue disappeared:

    (1) temporarily when full restart JBL Extreme (question returns a few hours or minutes later); A full restart of Mac does NOT help.

    (2) when you disconnect from the JBL speaker and plug into speakers of simple (not firmware) separate non - JBL, these speakers JBL - no play the sounds as expected. Thus, Mac 'seems' to send the correct signals via its headphone port.

    Video to reproduce the problem:

    https://Vimeo.com/165709269

    JBL customer service response:

    (1) ' we have not all the comments of any bug or any update would be necessary for the Xtreme. " For now, I would recommend that you contact support for your Mac. »

But the Mac works well with the JBL - no speakers. So, I think, the Mac is OK. But don't know if its signals is compatible with the firmware on the JBL speakers.

    2) "the speaker goes into sleep mode to save battery".

But the Xtreme is plugged into the wall power (all 5 white lights are always one of them flashing). So, save the battery life is not a problem.

It is OK to go to sleep. But it should not require a full reboot to wake up.

For example, while surfing the web I find and read a video, minutes later I find another video and need to restart the JBL to read.

As it is, I'm turning it back on about 10 times a day.

Each time, the Xtreme gives a) unpleasant 'surprise' unpredictable doesn't have to read the sound, b) chime sounds to feed top down and c) not long.

This isn't a normal acceptable behavior.

    Possible causes:

I think that, perhaps, JBL Xtreme would have some power save mechanism, so pregnant properly go to sleep (when he gets is not sound signals of Mac for a few minutes). However, when CV, sound signals, JBL Xtreme fails to wake on his own (because some bug in the JBL firmware). Thus, it requires a full restart.

The question is perhaps only with tones of mid-2010 Mbps?

Any other cause could explain the symptoms?

    Set up:

    (1) JBL Xtreme is connected to the Mac using telephone head, connected to the power supply plug, the latest version of the firmware 5.8.

    (2) mac Book Pro mid-2010 is running latest OS X (ElCapitan 10.11.4).

    (3) other devices in the House (5 s to iPhone and iPad) have Blue tooth OFF.

    =====================================

Update: a workaround is to connect through Bluetooth instead of the headphone cable.

  • No sound from new a6600f

I did the test of his and I heard the chime, however, when I play any video or files audio, I have no sound. My monitor which has built in speakers turned on to my old computer and I got the sound is not the speakers.

I don't know what else to do.

  • Is it possible to run a diagnostic on my monitor?

    I have Windows 10

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260

    Acer AL2216W monitor

I've been back with symptoms whether if it's the card or the monitor.  I ran a diagnostic on my video card and it seems fine.

It's a race to the bottom of symptomsm of today, which is quite common these days when I wake the AOS computer.

    • Monitor shows the amber light
    • Press the wake up on computer
    • computer, no sounds stange
    • monitor still orange
    • Press on board... still orange
    • Move the mouse... still orange
    • 2 x orange light going off/on power
    • 1 x green flashing power button
    • then nothing
    • then gren, Acer flashes on the screen, 'no signal' light then orange
    • so I walk for a while... sometimes it turns on after a long time, like 15-20 minutes
    • an hour later still orange, press the monitor turned off/turned on power button
    • green light flashes power, screen flashes Acer, 'no signal' and the then orange light
    • Try the power button a little while (sometimes it worked)
    • Restart the computer, as it worked sometimes (even if I do not do this without a good stop / restart)
    • so now it's on for the day

NOTE... .once the monitor is on, it stays on without any problem. ONLY twice in more than a month he did the flash of the screen in and out a couple times while I was using it.  More ever since.

We don't have a diagnosis that will really help in this situation.

Honestly, I think the monitor first here. The video card will be usually do other things as artifact or overheat and crash before this type of failure. Is it possible to get a screen from a friend or a family member just to test? Or, take your monitor to a friends PC and ask him to try it.

  • Aspire T180 won't start and makes a beep sound

My Aspire T180 not boot at all and makes a beep sound. The monitor doesn't wake up. The sound signal is a long beep followed of two short beeps - all in about one second of 1 1/2 to 2 life. My nephew has recently completed a 2-year computer program. I had to listen to him over the phone and he immediately said "Oh!" Your memory is bad! »

A second opinion? And if it's a memory problem, the two modules DDR2 which are to replace, or something deeper? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • I'm having a weird ding ding sound coming out of my sounds like a notification but not high treble, low and flat as bonk bonk, it sounds weird, but I can't get rid of

I think a few months back I did something in the sounds, because the volume was not very high. Then I hit some defect or schema and now every time I'm on the computer, I hear a ding ding but not high, ground so low and flat and its been there for months because I don't know what to do about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Out of curiosity you have tried to find out what the noise you hear is by going to control panel, sounds and play the sounds of Windows one at a time until you recognize the (probably) the playing .wav file?

For example, if you play sound (test), the connection of device you might recognize as what you hear:

When you know the program event that occurs which generates the sound that you may be able to limit.  You hear the sound of device connection then the sound device is disconnected or maybe something else?

There is a way to find what program or an application generates mysterious sounds using Process Monitor to capture an event every time a .wav file is read, but I'll let ZigZag3143 decide if it's worth the pursuit:
