No sound on my satellite

There is no playback sound on my laptop. It is not the speakers because it does not play with a helmet either. Then I checked the drivers and the sound wasn't working or whatever I downloaded the new driver and it still does not work.

Any ideas.

Can you please give us more information on your laptop? Since when you noticed this audio problem on your laptop?

If you want to be sure if something is wrong it test it after installing the operating system using the recovery media.

    Hello

I use a program called Sibelius and recommended an ASIO compatible sound card.
Can someone tell me if the sound in the satellite pro L40 series card is compatible ASIO?
If not I can plug a card external sound which is compatible and if so how can I turn off the internal sound card.

    Thank you

I really don't think not someone will be able to give you information about the ASIO compatibility, but I see no problem, that is if you want to use the external device. Card internal sound, you can disable it in Device Manager.

  • No sound on my Satellite L20-217

I don't have sound in my Satellite and L20 and can not find the drivers for my model.
    What should I do?

Are there drivers from any other model that will be ft to mine?

Satellite L20 is pretty old machine and if I remember well, it was delivered with Windows XP Home edition at home.

The question is: what operating system are you currently using?
Problem is that this old piece of hardware is not supported for newer operating systems.

  • Virtual sound stops working - Satellite A100

    Dear all

I seem to have a problem with my virtual sound on my Satellite A100. It seems to work intermittently, often it doesn't work anymore and I can't control if it is on or off. If I reboot, it can start working again, but not always. I did a factory restore of the machine that clears the fault, but after a few start-up, it starts to happen again. It doesn't seem to be a reason for the problem.

Has anyone experienced this problem and managed to work around it?

    Thank you

    Hello

I put t don't know if this helps but try to update the utility audio virtual ansd the audio driver. To do this, check the Toshiba driver page.

I put t know if it is interesting for you, but in this forum, I noticed that on some Satellite P100 crackling sounds/noises can be resolved by updating of all of the BIOS (v 2.1 or higher) and the audio driver.
Need to first update the BIOS

  • No sound on the Satellite X 200 after installing XP

    Hello!
I installed XP on my Satellite x 200 LC10DC everything works but no sound...

I watched if it is a problem of missing driver but after downloader and test different driver does not work its still...
In my driver manager, I find 2 missing driver, unknown device and PCI device and I don't know how to fix them.

    Could you help me guys?

    Hello

The problem is that you need install Win XP patches before you install the audio driver XP!

Install it first * patch KB888111, KB835221 and * Microsoft Windows and then after new reboot, you need to install the audio driver compatible XP.

After this short intervention, the sound should work very well!

  • No sound on a Satellite P100-324 using don't Win 7 64 bit

    Hi all

    I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P100 - 324.
I installed Win 7 64 bit on this computer and I have problem with sound now.

My sound does not work. I tried to install a driver but without result.
I tried to download the driver from realtek but it was the same thing.

Do you know how I can run on this PC?

    Thanks for your advice

    Marek

    Hello

Satellite P100-324 belongs to the series of PSPA6E.
The European driver Toshiba page asserts that Realtek audio driver should be compatible.
But the Realtek audio driver Toshiba on page is released for Win 7 32 bit, not 64-bit.

I recommend the driver on the Realtek page. There you should find one that suits.

You can also check the Dev ID and could find the compatible driver for internet.

Begins to regret having bought a Toshiba.

I think that the audio driver is not installed corectlly... try it unistal from Device Manager, and after reinstall...
for sure, it's a software problem...
If it does not try to know who is the producer of the sound card (for example, realtek) and download the driver of his support instead of toshiba...

  • Strange sound problem with Satellite L740 TV outputs

I'm having a strange problem here... I googled this several times already, and I only found the same solution mentioned several times and the given solution * not * work is to me.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L740 running Windows 7 Home Edition Premium, with a 64-bit Intel Core i5 - 2410M @ 2.30 GHz CPU and 4 GB of physical RAM. My problem is the following...

There are two different TVs in my house that I regularly connect my laptop via HDMI cable.
The first is mine, and I can get sound through the TV very well when I plug it in.

Sometimes, however, I will disconnect the computer from my TV and not get any sound through the laptop because he's trying to output to external speakers to TV.

More importantly, when I connect my laptop to my * roommate * TV (the same make as mine, you mind), I can not all the sounds of his TV at all.

This is a recent problem. Until this morning, I was able to get noise from two TV very well and only sometimes had problems with sound through the laptop itself, which has been easily resolved by restarting.

It's just a hunch, but it's almost like * doesn't realize that there are two different TVs * that it is connected to my computer. Maybe it's stupid, I don't know, but be it, it's frustrating...

    * ALSO: * I've seen dozens of suggestions that I put my HDMI audio as default device. Yes, I did. It wasn't the issue. Is the same to activate my audio drivers in Device Manager. They are all turned on, so it's not that either. Any ideas?

It's a bit strange if you connect the laptop to two identical televisions and use the same HDMI cable to the TV.

Unfortunately, it all works automatically and I put t know if you can force your laptop to recognize two TVs on the same path.

In the worst case you have to do it manually in the sound properties > playback devices.
If it works with four mouse clicks you can change.

I tested my laptop with two different TVs.
At home, I have a Toshiba TV and at the office we use Sony. On both automatically get sound on the TV speakers.

If you will be able to find the solution please let us know.

  • Lack of Win98SE PCI/Sound driver for Satellite Pro 4270

    Hello

I have an old Satellite Pro 4270 with Win98SE license.
I have no driver CD and only a Win98SE installation CD. So I installed Win98SE.
From Toshiba Web site show me a lot of drivers for Win98SE which I installed.

But I have not found a driver for the PCI card that has a yellow "?" in the Device Manager. I do not mean the PCMCIA slots.

I installed the driver of his Yamaha DS - XG, but I can not here any sound.

So where can I find the PCI driver and sound driver better.

    John

    Great! :)

  • Record stereo sound on the Satellite Pro 4600

    Hello everyone and happy NYE!

I am trying to record a stereo sound from an external source on my Satellite Pro 4600.
I read in the manual of the only way to enter the stereo signal from other sources (e.g., external CD player) is through card Station IV as the laptop itself has only monaural audio input jack.
Is it possible to record stereo sound from external source without having to invest in the Station IV card?
Or if not, is there any software that can convert the stereo, mono signal?

Thanks for any help on this matter.

    Matthew.

    Hello

In my opinion you can do this only if you use an external device to the audio transfer stereo. In combination with the right software, you can save, for example, old records and put music in digital format.

  • No sound on my Satellite A30

I have a laptop satellite A30. A month or two ago, I had a virus and when the problem has been resolved, I found I had no sound, be it from the computer.

All audio devices are present and the volume of the speaker is on the normal setting. I think it is a driver problem, but how do you know for sure and if it is a driver problem, how to install a new to solve the problem. I tried to use the disk utilities and that does not work either.

    Hello

In my opinion, you should diagnostich using the steps listed by NickyNoogle. The link is http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=3204&messageID=10259#10259.

  • Sound distortion after virtual sound installation on Satellite A80

My sound false after that I installed virtual sound is driving me crazy. I downloaded all the drivers from toshiba.

    Hello

Usually, the sound must be much better using this tool. I can't really explain why this happens. Try to reinstall the sound driver.

The set comes with Windows XP Home edition at home, and I guess you are trying to install your own operating system, probably professional edition. All drivers and tools should work fine with Windows XP Home edition Professional too. Please see the installation instructions which can be also downloaded from Toshiba download site (http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/Satellite/sa80/win-xp/install-xp-na.zip). All such things must be installed in particular stopped.

do you know that drivers will work on windows xp?

    Hello
I PSAARE (A100-011) and I spent from Vista to XP Professional and I need to download the new version of the realtek drivers 1.61 and it works perfectly. I wonder do you also have problem with PCI device unknown who in fact is Texas Instruments Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Integrated FlashMedia Controller. It cannot be installed with all Toshiba drivers, and it is the SD card reader.
