No sound with SoundMAX Windows 7

I have a Lenovo T61 with Windows 7 installed.

Windows recognizes the Audio device (SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD) but I have no sound. I tried to:

(1) restart the computer.

(2) reinstall the audio drivers (downloaded from the website of Lenovo and even updated from Windows Update) from scratch (uninstall and install).

(3) update the BIOS.

Nothing helps.

Please help me on this issue, I'm a little frustrated.

Kind regards

NIR

I recommend you go back to Windows Vista until October 22, when the updated device drivers may become available. A lot of others, including Microsoft themselves developers are still working on their device drivers to complete for October 22 version, so it may be it just wait a bit longer since Windows 7 is still not commercially released. Hello

Sorry, you have problems. For Windows 7, try this:

Sign in to Skype. Click Tools at the top of the window, and then select Options in the menu drop-down. Click Audio settings in the left pane. Under the speakers, you can:

    • Use the Volume slider to adjust the volume.
    • Click on the arrow down in the drop-down menu to select the appropriate stakeholders.
    • Test the speakers by clicking on the green arrow next to the drop-down list of speakers.
    • Click on the link to make a free test call to make a test call.

It may be a good idea to plug a headset as a test to see if it works. You don't need a headset with a microphone; Just use any headset allows you to listen to your music on your iPod. The nice thing about using a stereo headset is that you can always talk through the microphone on your computer, but only you will hear responses from your correspondents, and is as much your comments.

Skype has a document of support practice that may help you: I can't hear my friend... (Windows desktop) .

And now, the delicate question: it is possible that your friend accidentally cut his microphone? Or what is happening with all of your calls?

  • The drivers are all workers, but still no sound with windows 7

I have a frustrating noise problem. My sound worked completely fine until yesterday. When I start my computer, I realized that no sound came out. I went through many forums to find the solution and I checked all the simple stuff like making sure my devices are activated, an active audio service, reinstalled / updated audio drivers etc... I even went into the BIOS and loaded by default and still no sound. I've gotten to the point where I don't know what I can do. Help please!

    Hi all

I'm sorry that you are running in this issue of no sound. You get any sound with headphones?

Also, I would suggest trying a hard reset as the next faster and less invasive stage. This can sometimes fix strange problems because it drains all the electricity unit. Here are the steps for a Hard Reset.

I hope this helps! Let me know the results, if you have a chance

  • I have a problem with the sound stutter in Windows Vista.

All the audio on my computer, regardless of the source, stutters.
This is a recent problem that has developed after I ran an automated scan of driver updates.
In hindsight, I should have restored the system parameters, but I did not, and now I'm looking for a solution to the problem.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled audio drivers manually.

I uninstalled the audio drivers and restarted my computer, allowing the system to automatically search for the drivers.
I disabled the value on the audio driver settings.
I ran each automated scanning, to which I was directed on the Microsoft Web site.
Basically, I followed all the instructions I found that by doing a search for ' stuttering audio windows vista "and nothing worked.
Does anyone have an idea of what I can do, or have had similar problems?

  • Latitide D810 - lost all sound with Windows 7

    Greetings!

I recently installed Windows 7 Professional on my Dell Latitude D810. After installation, I've lost all the audio features. My volume control in the Quick Launch bar States, "no Audio output device is installed". I ran the "problems of detection" to try and fix the drivers, but it wasn't able to fix it.

My next step is to check the drivers of Dell and downloads site and they do not have a driver for my computer with Windows 7. However, I have read on other sites that people have had any audio problems with installing Windows 7 on their Latitude D810s. Others have claimed to have had problems, but have been able to find the drivers for their audio problems.

Through various websites and download, I tried the following driver executables: D810_A05.exe, R99254.exe and S1wua01i.exe. It's audio drivers I found for XP and Vista, but they no longer work.

Does anyone else have other recommendations in pilot? Or links to other drivers, I can at least try?

At this point, anything would be helpful! A lot of satisfaction and thanks in advance...

    See if it works:

Download driver Sigmatel R99254. Unzip it but cancel the installation process. (Skip this step if you still have this driver).
It will unzip the files and store them in a folder on the hard disk to c:\Dell\drivers\R99254, and this folder will be a subfolder named WDM.

Open Device Manager and expand system down devices. Locate the PCI Device with one? next to it (or if it is not there, then look for "Multimedia Audio Controller"). Go to properties and select Update driver. Select to manually locate the driver and let Windows not seek.
    Go to c:\Dell\drivers\R99254\WDM

With a bit of luck, it should detect new hardware, and one of them should be the Sigmatel.

  • Satellite Pro U200 - no sound after installing Windows 7

    Hello

I have a problem with sound after installing Windows 7 on a (PLUA1E) satellite Pro U200. No Win7 audio driver available on the Nordic pilot site. Help, please.

    Hey Buddy,

Have you already checked the site Web of Toshiba itself?

I found a driver for Vista 32 bit and Vista drivers most also work on Windows 7 so it s worth a try! :)

  • Satellite Pro U200 - no sound after reinstalling Windows

    Hi all

Title of SAA says, I tried a ton of things, been on it for about a week and nothing works. I have the sound with headphones, but I can barely hear it. Anything through speakers.
    Sound was working fine before

Thanks in advance for any help

    Hey,.

If you can hear the sound with headphones, make sure that the internal speakers are not on mute and line-out isn't your audio output by default.
Therefore, check the audio settings of Windows!

Also, what OS you have installed?

  • Update BIOS and Tecra A9 - no sound with Win 7

    Hello

I installed Windows 7 from a Tecra A9 laptop and everything works fine except the sound. Sound card for Windows 7 driver is already installed. The speakers and the microphone is detected. While playing music in sound devices the green bar under the speakers raises up and down, but I can't hear anything.

I read that the update of the BIOS can help, but it does not work under Windows 7, with a Live CD of Windows XP or in Windows XP Mode for Windows 7.

I don't want to reinstall Windows XP.

-Does anyone know how to get the sound working properly?

Have you checked it with headphones?
Have you noticed the same thing?

To be honest I don't think THAT BIOS will change anything on this subject. If the audio driver is installed correctly, check that all the settings in Windows and also in Audio DD Realtek Audio Manager.

  • Is it possible to adjust the sound volume of Windows to more than 100%?

    Hello

I have a very simple question:

Is it possible to adjust the sound volume of Windows to more than 100%?

I explain why I need to do this:
I can watch DVD files or .avi with my computer and VLC, that allows to adjust the volume to 100%. Some DVDs have a very low sound. So if I set VLC to 200% volume and the system volume to 100%, I can watch movies in good sound conditions. Then, my computer speakers are strong enough for me watching a movie.

However, I have a problem with VSD: I use VOD with Windows media player and that player does not allow me to adjust the sound to more than 100%. So I put the sound of Windows media player at 100%, the sound of Windows to 100%, but the sound is very low.

Please don't tell me to buy speakers, mine are pretty strong, and I find it uncomfortable to plug the speakers.

Please don't tell me to use a software that increase the volume of the file I want to watch VOD.

Is there a way to increase the sound volume of Windows to more than 100%?

Please don t tell me this, please don t tell me that. You want to hear other people's opinions or what?

AFAIK all sound level settings in Windows are synchronized and if you change the sound level in the properties of the speaker at the same level will appear in the Windows for the Volume Mobility Center and the maximum level is 100%. No more than that.

As you already wrote the sound level can be increased in combination with Windows and some players.

Is there any other way to watch these videos, but using WMP?

  • Satellite U920T - sound with headphones quiet and distorted

    Hello

I have the following problem with my U920T. The sound with built-in speakers is perfect, but if I use headphones, the sound is very quiet almost unhearable.
I tested several helmets und different settings of the software. I also tried to install all Windowsupdates and driver updates the BIOS including Toshiba homepage n realtek drivers.
Now, I have reinstalled Windows but the problem persists.
I still think is a driver issue, but have no idea what to do now.

    I hope for quick help

    cordially 7even

That s really strange, but I think that there is problem with some incorrect settings.
I don't know how do you test your helmet but make some tests with browser player.
Open Internet Explorer, open the test page. Start, for example, my favorite In the Mix radio click with the left button of the mouse on the "speaker" icon and open the option when running music mixer.
Your IE it will appear there. You can move the volume level for speakers but for IE too.
Two of them on the 50% and check if the problem persists.

I use headphones often enough but I've never noticed this problem.
    Please test and send feedback.

  • Satellite P35-S6112 - no sound after installing Windows 7

I installed Windows 7 on this Satellite P35-S6112 with its Realtek AC97 inside card. The card and the drivers work, but there is no volume. I can hear the sound with a very light helmet. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, attempt to update, but I installed current drivers.

Troubleshooting has been done and the system reports no problems. I am in desperate need of help here, as my daughter he needs for his college as his other laptop is in the shop. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi precisiononthe8,

    > but there is no volume
That means you don t have the speaker icon in the toolbar to change the volume? Well, maybe that icon is just disabled and you will have to enable it.

Right click on the taskbar > properties > taskbar > customize > toggle system icons > Volume. Set this to on speaker icon will be visible right now and you can change the volume.

    Check this box!
