No such Interface supported - Director 6

When I try to burn my Windows Movie Maker project to DVD with Windows DVD Maker I get no such Interface supported after the burning of 1%... Any ideas? I've done several projects and burned on a DVD before without problem.  Have tried to install the new Codex etc, still no luck.  Saved the project on computer and tried to not burn, but still the same, "no such interface took responsibility for' Please help becomes very frustrating.

Problem solved... I have re-recorded WMM file for computer and tried to burn DVDs again... It worked...

    Hi MAMARDA,

Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

I would like to ask you a few questions in order to get a better understanding of this issue so that we can better help you.

    (a) what version of Windows 7 use you?

    (b) what is the exact error message you are getting?

Method 1: You can also try to perform a file system (scan SFC) verification tool. This tool will fix the system files are corrupted.

    Scan SFC enforcement procedure:

    1. click on the Start button

    2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories

    3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

    4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option

    5. If you have the User Account Control (UAC) enabled, you will be asked permission before the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

    6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter

    7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.

    8. be patient because the analysis may take some time

    9. If all the files need replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue

    10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

    11. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

Method 2: If this is a recent problem that has developed you can try to perform a system restore and check if it works very well.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next

    3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next

    4. click on finish

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

For more information, please follow the below given link:

How to repair the operating system and how to restore the configuration of the operating system to an earlier point in time in Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936212/

Method 3: you can try to start safe mode and restore the system, if you are unable to do it in normal mode.

For a safe boot, you can follow the below given steps:

    1. remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.

Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.

    2. do one of the following:

    a. If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then stop and restart your computer.

    b. If your computer has multiple operating systems, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start in safe mode, and then press F8.

When you are in safe mode, follow the steps mentioned above to complete the restore of the system.

    Hope the helps of information.
Please post back and we do know.

    Hello

-Have there been recent changes made on the computer before the show?

Please follow the steps below and check if that helps.

    Method 1:

I suggest you run the troubleshooter of performance on the system and verify.

    Open the troubleshooter of Performance

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-performance-Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

I suggest that you run SFC (System File Checker) scan on the system and check. Follow the steps in the following article.

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 3:

If the problem started recently, I suggest you do a system restore to the previous point and check.

    What is system restore?

    System Restore: frequently asked questions

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/system-restore-frequently-asked-questions

Important: System Restore will return all your files non-system as documents, email, music, etc., to a previous state. These files of types are completely affected by the restoration of the system. If it was your intention with this tool to recover a deleted file to non-system, try using a file instead of system restore recovery program.

Method 4: If the problem persists, try to create a new user account and check. If the problem is resolved, then fix a corrupted user profile.

  • "Without this interface supported' - Word 2003

Whenever I try and add a word document to a project, I get the following error:

"unable to throw the object type com"microsoft.office.interop.word.applicationclass' to interface type 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word._application'... " etc. etc. ' no such interface supported. (0 x 80004002) "

Anyone know why this is happening? It's never happened before. I use Office 2003

    Thanks in advance

The COM object in question is the PIA (Primary Interop) Assembly for Microsoft Word. It should be installed with Office 2003, but I think it's optional. Make sure you run the latest Office 2003 service pack (Service Pack 3). If everything seems to be installed correctly and it still does not work, you will need to manually install these - search download site of Microsoft for "Microsoft Office 2003 Primary Interop Assemblies".

When I try to install Vista Service Pack 2 (32 bit) I get an error message saying 'no such interface took in charge. I tried to download and install the stand-alone update Windows6 Setup. 0-KB947821-v4 - x 86, but when I try to install I get the error message '0 x 80240009 '.

Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for Windows Vista, but only for Service Pack 2 (SP2). This support for SP2 is valid until August 30, 2010.

  • Tecra R840-10 t: what interface supports the ODD

    Greetings,
    Tecra R840-10T (PT429E-00M007EP)
Can someone tell me if the DVD drive is IDE or SATA? I'm assuming SATA but I want to know without a disc phillips and none of the form pages that I found mentions it.

    > Can someone tell me if the DVD drive is IDE or SATA?
The new generation of portable supports for the majority of the SATA ODD (optical disc) and HARD drive interface.
AFAIK this Tecra R840-10 t was equipped with the DVD-SUPER MULTI (DL) and this player supports the SATA interface.

  • HPE h8-1151sc (interface supported)

Hello I have a h8-1151sc hpe (only sold in Scandinavia) - I have a mother of IPISB-CH2 (Chicago), installed (with I7 2600). For now, I have a GTX 680 installed running with a block of power SUPPLY Corsair HX 620. I think the upgrade of a Radeon R9 290 X.

My concerns are that the motherboard supports the card because she comes from a new generation of cards. From google I learned that the custom of for example motherboard run the nvidia 700series.

So IPISB-CH2 (Chicago) will work with the R9 290 X or not?

    Hello

There are a few versions of the R9 AMD x 290, that might work.  Visit the web site of Sapphire and browse the R9 290 models and watch who has dual mode (UEFI and inheritance) or a model that is not designated UEFI.  This model in particular, active UEFI is not designated for SKU 21226-00. It is a 300 Watt (by internal info) graphics card and the card is 10.9 "length.  You need both a PCI-E power connector 8-pin and a 6 PCI-E power connector pins. Sapphire indicates a 750 watt POWER supply.  Much the level of consumption of HP PC will power not with power supply more than 650 watts.  The motherboard in your PC may not be enough for the R9 AMD x 290 robost.
