  • I did the update for Firefox 7 but when I open Firefox, it tells me that I must upgrade to the latest version which I have, how do I fix?

I keep my Firefox constantly updated, but in recent weeks Gmail has been telling me that I use an older version that she can't stand even though I have the updated version. I was warned that Firefox could be updated to the latest version, I did. After the update when I opened Firefox it told me that I needed to upgrade to the latest version that I had already done. How can I fix?

Having both versions is a possibility. The other is that the user agent is stuck to the old version of Firefox 3.5.3 due to some extension.

Check general.useragent preferences on the topic: config page.
You can open the topic: config page through the address (address) bar just like you open a Web site.

    Filter: general.useragent

If all general.useragent prefs are "BOLD" (user set) then right-click this pref and select reset.

We could probably due the FBSMTWB on the end of your useragent as the extension toolbar to Fast Browser Search added at some point and therefore the uptight version of Firefox. This problem has been resolved from Firefox 4.0.

I uninstall firefox and re install. But still the same problem.
    Help, please

Get a black screen after updating to Firefox 33 can be caused by a problem with hardware acceleration in Firefox.

You can use one of them to start Firefox in Safe Mode:

    • On Windows, hold down the SHIFT key while starting Firefox with a double click on the shortcut to the desktop Firefox

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

  • I have a lot of tabs saved to be able to open them when I open Firefox, but the first tab is always changing in my homepage, Google. Is it possible to stop this?

I always opened, 20 + tabs on Firefox and it is together to remember. However, when I open Firefox the first tab changes that I had opened it in my homepage, Google. I can use the thing "go back" to go to the page that I had there, but going back to Google every time I restart the browser that becomes tedious.

The only way to solve what I've found is to just stop trying to use the first tab and either Google. However, I want a real solution stop if possible.

Who are normal tabs or pinned tabs?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
