When I open Firefox, it goes into full screen mode
I can't change the mode full-screen without completing the program even if the Task Manager. When I open Firefox, the browser will not allow me to enter a search option, or it will allow me to leave the program... the 'X' in the upper right corner is not accessible. Any thoughts?

stop the windows media player to automatically go into full-screen mode
How can I stop windows media player to automatically enter full screen mode whenever I have to read a DVD.

In order to enter anything in the address bar, I need to move the cursor to the top edge of the screen in Firefox and the site chosen.
Try to hit F11.
It is a toggle that maximizes the window beyond 'normal' maximize and gives you the most possible real estate for navigation, with less waste on the edges and buttons.
It might be the bad form to mention here, but other browsers use the same key for this.

I installed a month ago and could never make it work.
Can not find a way to uninstall itIs Watchseries an add-on or just a web page? If it's an add-on, try removing it on the page modules. Either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons
In the left column, click Extensions. (Usually if something is to open in the sidebar, it's an extension.) You can find and remove? If missing the button Delete, you can turn it off and try to uninstall through Control Panel, add/remove programs.

I have nothing special on the internet (no updates,...). I did different antivirus scans - but they found nothing. Also restart the computer did not help.
Hello KevinBeaulisch, another user that we found that this could be related to active malware on your pc. Please close all firefox windows and try to start firefox in safe mode (by pressing the SHIFT key while you start it). in firefox, safe mode go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove the entry named 'Codec v1.0' or any other addons that suspicious look and you have not intentionally installed. then see if you can restart firefox normally...
Please also make a thorough analysis of your system with the security software already in place or another tool like the free version of malwarebytes & keep firefox and your plugins up to date in order to stay safe on the web.

Why 'options' appears as a tab when I open firefox?
When I open Firefox there are always 2 visible tabs. The first is my home page, and the second is my options. How can I stop options appear as a second tab. I can reach the options menu if I need. It's annoying to have to close every time I open Firefox.
Hello
Check first if your Firefox is up-to-date by going to menu > help > about Firefox
For your problem, go to menu > options > general and choose your option in 'when Firefox starts' select the view my homepage . It will be open only your tab of the home page.
If you still get no problem, we are here to help. -
I always opened, 20 + tabs on Firefox and it is together to remember. However, when I open Firefox the first tab changes that I had opened it in my homepage, Google. I can use the thing "go back" to go to the page that I had there, but going back to Google every time I restart the browser that becomes tedious.
The only way to solve what I've found is to just stop trying to use the first tab and either Google. However, I want a real solution stop if possible.
Who are normal tabs or pinned tabs?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Today, I had a lot of trouble with my computer. I think that he was attacked by something underhanded, but I managed to stop it and fix everything. Everything about this thing.
When I open the firefox browser, it will not automatically to my home page, despite having followed all the instructions to do this. Instead, it opens in an engine search called 'awesomehp' that, previously, never heard and never installed. When I click on the 'home' - button, it goes to my real home page, and everything is ok.
I tried to uninstall it... "awesomehp" engine of research, but it ALWAYS appears automatically when I open FireFox. Why? And this is even after I have reset FireFox settings by default once.
Why this happens, and what can I do about it?
Looks like you picked up a pirate of the page. See this for help to get rid of it:

Hello
When I open firefox (Note: I have firefox version 28.0 and security Karspersky 2014) I get a black screen covering the firefox window around and it looks more lika a large window in firefox. What is it?
Concerning

Huh, that's news...
You can try Firefox in Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. I think that it is an extension.
- Run firefox.exe - safe-mode in the search bar in the Start Menu. (Make sure Firefox is closed)
Have you added new extensions recently around the time this started happening? The details of your system displays the following:
- Adobe Acrobat - create PDF 1.2 ([email protected])
- Anti-banner 14.0.0.4917 ([email protected])
- Dangerous sites 14.0.0.4917 blocker ([email protected])
- Kaspersky URL Advisor 14.0.0.4917 ([email protected])
- Troubleshooting 1. 1a ([email protected]) it comes by default, so this isn't the problem.
- Virtual keyboard 14.0.0.4917 ([email protected])

I did my browser Bing and it was working fine until today. When I open Firefox I get a message: Ref, then a long string of characters. I click on the Home icon and string changes. After doing this several times, I get the Bing search page. I don't get the startup of Firefox bookmark with the toolbar that has my book, history etc.. I can't clear the cache, if I can't the history tab. If I'm going to the mozilla firefox program folder and open it, there are a tool bar but can't erase recent history, etc. it. I don't have an administrator and a password on my home desktop. It's just me. I tried to follow your suggestions, but they do not apply to my situation. I don't really know if it is a firefox problem or bing. I've used google before bing and had no problems; I just wanted to try bing.
