  Hello, I'm under Hyper-V (2012 no R2) nested on vSphere 6.0

  Everything works except the Hyper-V integration services. Hyper-v virtual machines for a reason any think they are a physical system and they don t let start/install/upgrade to level integration services. Some screenshots to document the issue:

  

  

  

  

  I have tried everything I know or could find:

  • Use the options in the vmx file: hypervisor.cpuid.v0, vhv.enable, winHyperV OS guest, etc.
  • Use the options in the hyper-V (VM) host.
  • Running versions of different material on the Hyper-V VM (9,10,11).
  • Tried with and without tools vmware on Hyper-V hosts.
  • Tried different OS in Hyper-V (Server 2008 R2 and 2012).
  • Several fixes and upgrades on the side host/guest.

  I saw this problem documented in this post: http://vblog.is/?p=94 and the solution seems to demote the 6.0 to 5.5 ESXi host and this isn't an option for me (and I really need integration services running for testing purposes).

  I'm sorry.  It seems that the problem was solved only for AMD hardware in vSphere 6.0P01.

  I will try to get a patch for vSphere 6.0P02.  Unfortunately, I can't come up with a viable alternative in the meantime.

• Cannot uninstall VMware because I installed Hyper V

  I have upgraded to Windows 8. My installation of VMware worked after that. But then I installed Hyper V and some software that I do not want to uninstall.   Manual uninstallation may be an option. However, take a look at for example http://jorgequestforknowledge.wordpress.com/2012/05/26/using-both-microsoft-hyper-v-and-vmware-workstation-on-the-same-machine/ to see how you could add a second option of starting with Hyper-V disabled. This way, you should be able to run VMware Player if necessary or uninstall it.

• Uninstall fails after installing the Hyper-V role

  I installed VMWare Workstation 7.1.3 on my Windows Server 2008 R2 server to temporarily host some virtual machines. Since then, I installed the Hyper-V role on this server and migrated the Hyper-v hosts. Now I want to uninstall VMWare Workstation, but when I try to do it via the Control Panel programs and features, I receive the inherited error message: "[uninstall] error: this product cannot be installed on Windows XP or later." Windows 95, 98, ME, NT and 2000 are not supported. [OK] "obviously, this message is in error, but in doing some research, I have determined that this error means that the installer refuses to start on systems that have Hyper-V installed.

  Is there a version of the installer that allows you to uninstall VMWare Workstation correctly? If not, are there plans to fix this hole? I don't trust the manual uninstall procedure because they understand too gourmet suggestions such as 'Remove your appdata directory' (see uninstallation manual step 5B). Uninstall Hyper-V at this point is not a viable option.

  It should be relatively simple to add an option to the installer to bypass verification of Hyper-V (and then use the uninstall option command in the seat).

  1. At the command prompt, type the following:
     bcdedit /copy {default} /d "No hypervisor".
  2. The above command should say: the entry has been copied successfully to {guid}. Copy the guid to the Clipboard, including the braces.
  3. Now, type the following command:
     bcdedit/set {guid_hvoff} off hypervisorlaunchtype
     In the above command, replace {guid_hvoff} with what you copied in step 2. The command above simply sets a property in the boot entry that will not load the hypervisor at startup.

  If you return to programs and features, when you highlight 'Microsoft IntelliPoint 7.1' and it offers you the possibility of change, click on change.
  The program then gives you the option to remove the IntelliPoint 7.1 installation. I have this on my computer is also the delete option.

  Can someone explain to me where exactly lies performance gain when using the broker integration service appvolumes?

  I installed it on a login server, but I see no improvement in performance compared to another server of connection that does not have the integration service.

  Your site is a CCM that is located on a WebBasics plan (this plan does not e-mail hosted on Business Catalyst).

  If you want to create the email addresses on this site, you will need to configure your mail elsewhere server and configure the MX records on your site to point to the external mail server.

  If you want to use the hosted Business catalyst e-mail services, you should use a WebBasics + or superior siteplan. To upgrade your free CCM site, access administration area of your site-> Site Management-> upgrade now-> choose the desired site plan and billing frequency-> Add personal and credit card details-> Submit.

  Try installing informatica 9.1 with the 7.9.6.4 BIAPPS.
  
  As part of it while trying to create the service integration once after that the repository service has been created, im getting the error while allowing it as below
  

  Could not execute action....
  
  The service Is could not be enabled due to the following error:
  
  SF_34004 - Service initialization failed.

  I'm not sure why I get the above error.
  
  I already have configured informatica 9.1 with BIAPPS 7.9.6.3, but @ that point I have strength find the error in the creation of the service of integration.

  Check in the log file for the detailed error message and most likely that the error will be unable to find the name of user/pwd or tns listener error. If you can post the detailed error message, it will be very useful for finding the exact cause.

  Essbase Studio is the replacement for EIS, they all have two do roughly the same thing, essbase studio includes some of the new features for essbase 11 that IST does not work.
  EIS will slowly go away, so if you're new to these products then it is probably better for studio, even if at the present time, he seems to lack some features such as the race of the batch commands.
