• Problem with Hyper-V Integration Services on vSphere 6.0

  Hello, I'm under Hyper-V (2012 no R2) nested on vSphere 6.0

  Everything works except the Hyper-V integration services. Hyper-v virtual machines for a reason any think they are a physical system and they don t let start/install/upgrade to level integration services. Some screenshots to document the issue:

  

  

  

  

  I have tried everything I know or could find:

  • Use the options in the vmx file: hypervisor.cpuid.v0, vhv.enable, winHyperV OS guest, etc.
  • Use the options in the hyper-V (VM) host.
  • Running versions of different material on the Hyper-V VM (9,10,11).
  • Tried with and without tools vmware on Hyper-V hosts.
  • Tried different OS in Hyper-V (Server 2008 R2 and 2012).
  • Several fixes and upgrades on the side host/guest.

  I saw this problem documented in this post: http://vblog.is/?p=94 and the solution seems to demote the 6.0 to 5.5 ESXi host and this isn't an option for me (and I really need integration services running for testing purposes).

  I'm sorry.  It seems that the problem was solved only for AMD hardware in vSphere 6.0P01.

  I will try to get a patch for vSphere 6.0P02.  Unfortunately, I can't come up with a viable alternative in the meantime.

• Integration service of puppets and "peer not authenticated."

  I'm unable to add modules of puppets to DPPA due to a ' year error occurred... ". peer not authenticated"error I get when I try connecting DPPA via the remote cli that is running on the server PE.

  My current environment is vCAC 6.0 EE.  I have a DPPA 6.0 and puppets Enterprise 3.1.1 setup.  My puppet server runs 10 knot Free license.

  I followed the doc of module puppetlabs-appdirector on PuppetForge. There is a web page date dated Dec 2013 pointing to it, but the module has not been updated since 2012

  Documentation "Using VMware vCloud DPPA" References "roo", which I have seen in a version of dev of darwin-cli.  The GA version prompt uses "DPPA".  Not the source of my problem, but confusing.

  I found a VMware KB with a Ruby script that registers the server PE with DPPA. I have used successfully.  So I have the Service of puppets defined in a deployment environment. I can't add modules of puppets to DPPA.

  It would be great if the solution modules/applications have been updated at the same time.  application is updated the puppetlabs/appdirector module and/or documentation when a new version of the Director of the App is released. It is quite a few inconsistencies in the syntax and the directory structure between releases.

  The certificate of trust of the server is provided inside the jar of darwin-cli. That's why the rags you asked if download you the jar from the good server. You can compare the root of DPPA SSL certificate in the browser inside the jar to see if they match. If they do not match, then the cli will throw this error. And if you download from the right place, then probably the server is not built correctly, or someone to regenerate the certificates server without updating darwin-cli jar side.

• no uninstall option to integration services Hyper-V before converting to ESXi

  before the conversion to virtual machines in Hyper-v in ESXi, I wanted to uninstall Integration services but is surprised because there is not GOING to do it in the traditional way.

  Services int are not not in the programs (control Panell).

  There is no such thing as a command line switch on some blogs on the net. It must be the installer / uninstaller. But the installer has only 2 switches: calm and restart.

  Any suggestion?

  Don't want to mess with the services of another platform after conversion.

  I reinstall the servers own as much as possible. But some of them have fairly complex config.

• Cannot create integration service

  Try installing informatica 9.1 with the 7.9.6.4 BIAPPS.
  
  As part of it while trying to create the service integration once after that the repository service has been created, im getting the error while allowing it as below
  

  Could not execute action....
  
  The service Is could not be enabled due to the following error:
  
  SF_34004 - Service initialization failed.

  I'm not sure why I get the above error.
  
  I already have configured informatica 9.1 with BIAPPS 7.9.6.3, but @ that point I have strength find the error in the creation of the service of integration.

  Hi Prashant,

  Check in the log file for the detailed error message and most likely that the error will be unable to find the name of user/pwd or tns listener error. If you can post the detailed error message, it will be very useful for finding the exact cause.

• Loading of metadata through integration services

  Hi, I'm trying to load the metadata in a BSO cube through integration services. In the log (Olapisvr) file, I see that the dimensions are under construction but it is impossible to save the scheme in the end. I get these error messages:

  It is a known problem in the Version of EIS 11.1.1.3 and is set in EIA 11.1.2.1

  What is the fundamental difference between Essbase Integration Services and Essbase Studio? Do I need two things? Or does everything Studio Integration Services has to do? Help, please.

  Essbase Studio is the replacement for EIS, they all have two do roughly the same thing, essbase studio includes some of the new features for essbase 11 that IST does not work.
  EIS will slowly go away, so if you're new to these products then it is probably better for studio, even if at the present time, he seems to lack some features such as the race of the batch commands.

• Attribute Dimensions with Integration Services

  Hello, I create a model of ASO Essbase by Integration Services v9.3.1 and I'm having difficulties with the creation of a dimension attribute that contains a hierarchy.
  
  We have a list of stock codes which are grouped by seller in a dimension, each stock code has an attribute assigned to the responsible buyer.
  
  The requirement for the company is to start from the top level of the dimension of the attribute, allows to access categories, then to access teams, and finally to the buyer... we effectively require it 3 levels within the dimension of the attribute.
  
  I managed to create the seller (physical) and dimensions of the buyer (attribute) through the study of environmental impact without problem, but when I load to Essbase all buyers are added to the top level of the dimension and I can't seem to indicate that there should be a parent/child hierarchy to build the size of the attribute of.
  
  Is it possible and if any advice you can give as to how achieve would be greatly appreciated.

  Graham,

  This is certainly a feature EIS/9.3.1/ASO support. I have many models with this type of structure. How do put you up may vary. Usually my attribute hierarchies are not only deeply, only two or three levels, maybe four, in a rare case, so I generally do not use a child of parent table to define the hierarchy (I'm not saying that it won't work, it might, I have not tried, but same steps should apply). In a typical model, I'll have my actions table that has a field of the buyer. Then in another table, I'll have my attribute structure that has columns for the buyer, teams and categories.

  In the EIS OLAP model, you add your table of attribute hierarchy and use a join to link it to the main table of stock, joining the field of the buyer (now a diagram of 'the Star' to a 'snowflake'.) Go to the properties and make sure that you set all the columns as "attributes".

  Then in the metadata model, drag your categories on the contour attribute, and then drag the teams and set it up as a child of the categories and finally drag buyer and defined as a child of teams. You only set binding attribute for the buyer to the basic dimension.

  When you run your build Sun it will set up your dimension to attribute properly.

  Some things to keep in mind, make sure that you have a process that ensures for each stock code that you have in the main table, you have a correspondent in your table dim.

  Sometimes, depending on what manipulation I do, rather than join the tables in HIA I'm going back to the relational source and create a view that unites the two tables, then in my OLAP model, I have a table that has three columns in attribute, a column for the buyer, then the other two for the team and the category, from there setting up model metadata is the same.

  I have the following error:

  You should already have it. When you install Essbase/EIS you also get a bunch of merant drivers installed.

  In older versions, you can choose whether or not you wanted to install but they get now installed by default.

  Edit: I just checked this link... I'm not sure if this driver will work as I have never used the native drivers or the Merant ones.

• volumes of App integration service broker

  Hello

  I am trying to set up the service broker for the integration of volumes to app, but it does not work.

  Event log are filled: can't set up the broker. Download of application Volumes Mananger configuration error: invalid character in a Base-64 string.

  I already checked this KB, but nothing helped:

  A problem has been identified and a fix will be available soon.

  In the meantime, please note that this is not necessary for intsaller and use Volumes of the App. It is an improvement of the functionality only for best performance in a display environment.

• Integration Service Broker - how to use multiple managers?

  With the Agent, it has well documented how to add a registry key to point to a manager of 2nd (or more).  How can achieve us this with the Broker of integration?  As far as I can tell that you can only point to a single Manager.  Our plan is to get the balancing of the managers behind a VIP, but from here, it is possible to have the redundancy?

  This is not possible without a VIP and to be clear it still is about a unique vCenter as well, today.
