• How can I solve this problem of 'Two versions of Adobe', then only the most recent version remains activated, the old version remains DISABLED, and/or uninstall the old version?

  I went to my addons tab, and I have, in fact, have two versions of shockwave flash, a 11.9... version and a 13.9, which, if I'm not wrong, is the latest version. There is a 'request to activate, activate always, never activate' button for EACH module. I clicked on never turn on the old version and the closed tab. I then tried to play a video on the Web. He would not play, I tried another site with the same result, so I went back to my tab add-on, and the button for the old version had changed again to "always enable" in itself. He continues to repeat this, and WILL NOT stay on "never activate. Whenever I return to the page complementary modules, THE NEW VERSION IS DISABLED, SO THAT THE OLD ONE. I tried to uninstall the old version, but when I go into Control Panel and make the contents of the file, the old version is not yet there. I did start, search and typed in "Adobe", and the old version is NOT FOUND! The two versions to change back the turn on button and they both will disable themselves, no matter how many times I fix it! SMH!

  The Flash plugin is stored in this folder:

  The filenames for the plugin in Firefox have this model:

  NPSWF32_13_0_0_206.dll
  

  where the middle part (not in bold) is the version number of the plugin.

  Update from Adobe should normally remove older versions, but if they are actively used, it is possible that the update is not able to remove them.

  If you find the file, try to delete or move the temporary office.

  Firefox may not immediately realize that the file has disappeared, but hopefully that will detect only after the next time you're out and start it back up when it updates its scan plugins.

  All that is on the French I guess you mean that the user interface is in French. I think that could have happened was the download page of picked up some settings on your computer and downloaded French the French version for you. All versions of Firefox are unilingual.

  I have the Compatibility Pack installed so that I can open .docx files of type 2007 etc.  Apparently the updates of Windows 'think' I have Office 2007 if updates following KB982331, KB981715 and KB982312 are queued to be installed, but they are unable to install it because I have not Office 2007 is installed.

  I get an error correctly indicating that "the expected version of the product is not found on the system.  So they will never install successfully but Windows Update won't jump that updates are not necessary.

  Does anyone know how to remove these updates to install?

  Support of Microsoft's solution was to uninstall the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack.   I chose to ignore the updates and keep the ability to view Office 2007 extensions.

  In addition, contact the support does not count as a solution, especially when the problem is not resolved by the project "fix."

  KB981715, KB972581, KB974234, KB969559 updates: I've went and used the diagnostic tool, repaired by using the installation cd, completely uninstalled and reinstalled, but keep getting this message after you run the update download manually "expected Version of the product is not found on the system."

  Also, for the Microsoft Office service pack 2 SP2, it continues to show on the "check for updates", manually download the update and it says "already installed."

  What's next now?

  I have one last idea:

  After disabling all Trend Micro components (i.e., antivirus antispyware; firewall) then the Windows Firewall activation, Office 2007 SP2 uninstall, reboot twice & see if the behaviour persists (i.e., without having to reinstall Office 2007 SP2).

  Some people have persevered with contact support via the link on the MS download site and have finally received the download links temporary for an English version.  [You will find these discussions if you looking for the Korean forum as most people in your situation included that word in their title of the question.  I don't remember one of these threads containing any additional info that would be of no use to you.]

  If that does not appeal to you & you still cannot find your original installation disks, then buy a disc-relocation

  1. Amazon now stock reinstallation DVD for just a quid [the link is for their UK site site American stocks also to them].
  2. These seem to be exactly what they claim they do not have a product key and that they are specifically described as being for reassembly only - in other words, they are not an attempt to distribute pirated Windows.
  3. You must use your own product key for activation.
  4. Make sure order you Windows 7 edition {Home Premium etc.} that is identified on your certificate of authenticity [the label that contains your product key].
  5. Some of the sellers provide 32 bit and 64 bit DVD, while others provide one or the other.  So make sure you order the right kind.
  6. These discs can do everything what a system repair disc can do, so you'll not need to make a separately.

  I tried the compatibility mode with the same results.  I installed the XP mode software and installed Abra in this virtual network and it works perfectly.
