The expected version of the product was not found on the system

KB981715, KB972581, KB974234, KB969559 updates: I've went and used the diagnostic tool, repaired by using the installation cd, completely uninstalled and reinstalled, but keep getting this message after you run the update download manually "expected Version of the product is not found on the system."

Also, for the Microsoft Office service pack 2 SP2, it continues to show on the "check for updates", manually download the update and it says "already installed."

What's next now?

I have one last idea:

After disabling all Trend Micro components (i.e., antivirus antispyware; firewall) then the Windows Firewall activation, Office 2007 SP2 uninstall, reboot twice & see if the behaviour persists (i.e., without having to reinstall Office 2007 SP2).

    I opted to buy 6 LR on perpetual license rather than a subscription monthly CC, as my country's currency is devaluing rapidly and I need to be able to afford access.  But now Adobe does not seem to recognize the validity of the copy that I own.  In fact, it is difficult to find a reference to LR 6 on the Adobe web site.

    It shows the message you have purchased an upgrade license, and it asks you to select the older version that you upgraded and provide older version serial number as proof that you are eligible to use the upgrade.

    It seems that you have installed Acrobat XI pro as an upgrade and an upgrade you will need a serial number for a product older Acrobat X, etc. 9:

    Also, I checked with your Adobe ID on the forums and I can only locate XI of Acrobat pro upgrade recorded, please check if you have registered an earlier version of Acrobat on some another email to get this serial number.

    The message indicates that you have purchased a version upgrade of applications and it asks you to identify the previous version of this application you are upgrading, and then provide serial number.

    If you had no intention to buy a version upgrade then you will probably cancel that and buy it at the price high.

    I suggest you reinstall the drivers for the tablet on the computer by visiting the manufacturer of the Tablet and check if it helps.

It's because I'm trying to install it on this computer!  How should I proceed from here?  I have a HP Pavilion laptop with Windows 10.  I LR6 installed on my other computer, which is a desktop HP Pavilion on Windows 7, and now I want to install it on my Lap Top.  Can someone explain what is happening here and how to fix?

    you will need serial number of your previous version.  There is no work around.

    There may be ways to recover serial number depending on whether lr5 is currently installed on a computer (old) or you bought lr5 where saved from adobe.

    The installation process is supposed to give you a place to enter your previous serial number if the previous version is not actually on the computer

    A bit of history which could be related, I remember that I originally bought first Pro CS5 from someone on ebay, not knowing that it was a Mac version, which would not work on my PC - so I contacted Adobe and upgraded to CS6 for Windows at a lower cost. I see in MY PRODUCTS there is a serial number for the two "Adobe Premier Pro" version 5 for MAC and Version 6 for Windows.

    I wanted to buy Adobe Acrobat, and somehow the download wound which is apparently an upgrade. So, now I get this error message and my ~ $170 purchase is apparently useless at the moment. Someone tell me please I na not to lose my money, and in fact, I can USE the software that I just bought.

    If you have purchased an upgrade, so it can work as an upgrade. Of course, you have the discounted upgrade price.

    If you made a mistake, you must contact Adobe and see if you can return the incorrect purchase. This seems to have worked at least for some in the past.

    Update: I decided to just re - enter the serial No. for Photoshop CS3 Extended and select the same option a few times more, and all of a sudden, he decided to work. To my great relief!

    The only thing I can conclude is that the system needed just a few minutes to update itself (maybe Adobe was waiting payment must be published by the Bank?).

    I have the Compatibility Pack installed so that I can open .docx files of type 2007 etc.  Apparently the updates of Windows 'think' I have Office 2007 if updates following KB982331, KB981715 and KB982312 are queued to be installed, but they are unable to install it because I have not Office 2007 is installed.

    I get an error correctly indicating that "the expected version of the product is not found on the system.  So they will never install successfully but Windows Update won't jump that updates are not necessary.

    Does anyone know how to remove these updates to install?

    Support of Microsoft's solution was to uninstall the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack.   I chose to ignore the updates and keep the ability to view Office 2007 extensions.

    In addition, contact the support does not count as a solution, especially when the problem is not resolved by the project "fix."
