No VMnet0 network bridged after upgrade the host to win 8.1

Hi, I have many VM that worked well, and then I upgraded to VM Workstation 10 the other day and all right.

I ran a few VM after and the network worked. All VMS are defined as connected by a bridge.

Then I updated the PC windows host 8 to 8.1. Now, when I run VM workstation and run a virtual machine, I have no network connection.

and I get an error (see screenshot) on no VMnet0 does not.

If I try and add the network editor VMnet0 and jumpered value or change VMnet1 bridge I get an error see screenshot #2

No idea what is wrong or what to check. Never had this kind of problem before.

I checked the services on the host computer and found no VMnet services.

I have no configuration VMnet0 virtual network editor in and if I try and add that I can't put it as filled. I don't know, I got VMnet

before installation I think that I just checked Bridged in the configuration of the VM and it just worked before, but do not have now.

Thanks for any help

Rainey

Too bad.

I got it to work, I closed all the VM.

Network editor opened and restored by default and it's working now.

I searched and read that in another post.

I got the same error. What worked for me was to uninstall, reboot, then reinstall as follows:

    1. define the model of compatibility to Setup WinXP SP3 and run as administrator.

    2. install by double-clicking on the Setup

    3. once the installation is completed, set the compatibility to vmware.exe model also be WinXP SP3 and run as administrator.

  • Network lost after restart of host settings

I have vcenter that works as a virtual machine on host #1 (vsphere 4.1 u1)

I used vcenter to configure networking on the host #1 and was able to connect to the San and run a virtual machine of the SAN.

About 10-15 minutes later, I stop the virtual machine of vcenter, put the host in maintenance mode and rebooted the host.

After startup, the host no longer has network (vswitches, iscsi, config, etc.) settings and as such, cannot see SAN data warehouses.

I do not understand why this has happened.

I had already installed 4.1 on my other 2 hosts literally 10 minutes before it happened, and now I have an unpleasant feeling in the pit of my stomach.

    Using ESX or ESXi?

Because ESXi works in the virtual disk, and it updated the config files not in real time.

  • Satellite L775 goes into BSOD after upgrade to 8.1 Win

    Hello

First of all, I have win7 on this device, so I bought a Microsoft windows 8 pro for her.
When I upgraded, it went well for a few months and then it started to plant on its own.

I tried so much to rebuild the PC using the Toshiba software without result.
In the end, I deleted all partitions and rebuilt with win8.
I've upgraded to win8.1 happens only at first sceen and turn it back on, even through there nothing installed.

When I re-made three times and finally I gave up and now at least it works with win8 just want
Toshiba software all ask. NET3.5, whereas I've got 4.5.

I went to several websites to find answer and he's talking about a method to turn the feature back on, but when I do it, it can't find the necessary files.

Now I would like to restart from scratch... where can I download the original software of tosh in a pack?
Or find a solution to this problem BSD

    Thank you.

Each upgrade system requires certain rules.
If you want to use the 8.1 to win on this laptop, you must first check if this system is available on this laptop.

On this page you will find details on the 8.1 Win
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/

So in case you want to use Win 8.1 you must check if your phone model is supported.
If it s supported, you must follow the step by step instructions how to upgrade the system to Win 8.1. All Toshiba software tools and drivers need a Win 8.1 update

In the case of the caught Win isn t 8.1 supported on this laptop, Toshiba tools and utilities will not properly operate under this system.

  • What happens to the cleaning after upgrade with Host Update Utility?

    Hello

I've just updated my esx 3.5 to 4.0 using the host update utility.

I noticed that in the data store, it is now the iso esx4.0 and an esxconsole-* folder.

These 2 are always required? or is it safe to remove them after the upgrade? They take a part of the review of the space on the local data store.

    Thanks in advance!

The .iso file may be deleted.

But the esxconsole-* file is the COS for COS vmdk.

If you are unable to delete this folder and you cannot delete the related VMFS data store.

  • How can I set up 2 physical network cards, 1 for the host and 1 for vm?

    Hello

With the help of VMWare WS 7.1.  I have a physical machine with 2 network as the host cards. Currently only one of the cards network is connected to the network.

It hosts a SBS 2008 Server virtualized (while we prepare permanent news of the home server). I know not to leave the virtual machine SBS see doamin on the network controllers.

I want to give a static IP address on one of the network adapters on the virtual machine and allow the host have the map of others.

Can someone give me the steps or point me to the instuctions?

Or is it better to use a NETWORK card?  The virtual machine is currently using a NIC a nic virtualized in bridged mode.

    Thank you!

    1. disable automatic bypass on VMnet0 in network virtual and configured Editor to use the map NETWORK active on the host.

    2. in the Virtual Machine settings > set it to network adapter connected by a bridge.

    3. in the guest operating system, configure the IP address as you would on a physical computer.  Take a look at: Managing Your Windows Small Business Server 2008 Network

    It's as simple as that.

I need to connect to these virtual machines, all of which have their own IP addresses. I can ping the server or the host of a remote computer, but must be able to communicate with the virtual machines in the remote/client computerss.

Can anyone offer insight?  I tried to set up an automatic bypass at one of the virtual machines

    Any thoughts?

Sorry, I'm not sure I can follow you. In any case, what you're trying to do is to configure adaper network of the virtual machine as "Bridged" within the parameters of the virtual machine and then change network card settings in as guest OS:

IP address: 192.168.1.21 (where 21 must be an unused IP address currently)
    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Def gateway: 192.168.1.1

    Preferred DNS server: 192.168.1.1

  • Yellow! for VMware network driver after upgrade to server 2003

We have an older Windows Server 2000 guest who was P2V sometime.  It is one of our domain controllers.   In the process of migrating our AD domain until 2008, I have tried to upgrade this server to 2003 our ad can be in 2003 as part of the move towards 2008.   Long story short, in order to upgrade to 2003 server, I had to remove the old Compaq Network Managment of the machine software.  This software was not in Add/Remove Programs, then I went to the manual way to remove hidden drivers, when still it did not work, I have deleted all entries in registry SEO Compaq network management.  I proceeded with the upgrade, but when the system has finished, the LAN connection is missing, and Device Manager has a yellow explanation point to the NIC for VMware Acceleraged AMD PCInet adapter.

I recloné and resume the upgrade with only remove entries from registry for Compaq Network MGT.  Yet once, after an upgrade, the same problem appeared with the network card.

I don't know how to successfully remove the Ghost for the Compaq when the software seems to not exist on the computer.  (nothing in Add/Remove Programs, nothing in C:\program files, start anything in the 'Programs' from the menu list.

Once I get the error on the NIC card I can't fix.  I tried to reinstall the VMWare driver from the VMTools directory, but that still does not work.

Not sure about Windows 2000, but IIRC the HP drivers can be removed trough the network card properties!

Be sure to reconfigure the guest operating system to Windows Server 2003 in the properties of the virtual machine after the upgrade. I had probably also remove the NIC and add an E1000 NIC, which is the default value for Windows 2003 VMs.

  • Satellite U205-S5002: cannot retrieve the Express Media Player after upgrading the HARD drive

So I bought just a new Toshiba Satellite U205-S5002 I love it. One of the great features that interest me was the Express Media Player feature.

My first step was to upgrade the hard disk and 160 GB and 2 GB ram.
I placed the disk and ram in my old laptop and sold it.

Before that I did, I made a copy ghosts and ghost of the hard drive to the new drive. Well come to find out...

Toshiba is not provided with this software preinstalled, so I followed the instructions to burn my recovery disk Express Media Player and the boot on the new disk.
So this is where the saga begins...

After 15-20 seconds, I get a soothing blue screen (NOT of blue BSOD you mind) who says:

    /!\
An error occurred during the recovery of "Express Media Player".
    -------------------------------------------------------
Please pick up the image again from the beginning.
    Press any key to exit.

It is typed exactly as it is on the screen. So, I see some other forums saying: you must have the free space of the disk so I resize the partition that allows 200 MB of space. Always the same... then try 2 GB even... then the 50 GB, same problem...

OK, so obviously not a question of space. I read while I might need to erase the drive... so I delete the partition, this same error... then I run the recovery disk and tell him to wipe the drive, wait 1 1/2 hour, it ends. No dice! So I decide... ok... Well lets try another disk... I have restored my ghost image... and burned the image again... same question... so I decide to the recovery disk and I'll try to reinstall windows in the factory and make a record...

Well, it does not work as well as you think... the image is incomplete... windows works fine... but the c:\Toshiba\ExpressMediaPlayer folder is empty!

I'm happy that I have ghosts my original directory. But I decide allows to Express Media Player a shot more now that I have restored to factory... always the same error... I then decide a trial more... I'll erase drive 1.5 hours, I'll restore from toshiba dvd provided but leaving plenty of space at the end 2 GB (I have a lot about people who tell you to base just around 200 MB)

5 hours later... moment of truth... Well Yes you guessed it... I don't know anything else to try... I have a bad image?
You need one that I can download what has worked for them for sure? Or have - I have completely found myself by replacing the HDD with after market and which is originally a kind of compatibility issue?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

    It s a great story!
I put t know how to start so maybe first some info on the Express media player.

As you said, and has already proposed the Express media player has been preinstalled on the second partition.
If you want to install this media Express on the HARD disk drive, 150-200 MB of free space must be available. This free space must be on the end of the HARD drive and there must be unallocated.
To get these free space on the HARD disk, 3 third-party products should be used as for example the Partitions Magic 8!

I'm not going to write a story how to recover the Express media player because Toshiba has already created useful documents, which described complete installation!
I found these documents in the knowledge base of computer Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=TIC2

  • complete network slow after upgrade to iOS 9.2

    Hello

obviuosly the update to iOS 9.2 decreases my network speed for all devices on the network. I tested the speed with public speed tests and answers have been slower than before the update (e.g. ping time before: 42ms; after: 1500 ms; even with downloads and uploads). If I turn off my iOS device, it is faster still.

Someone has the same effect? Or does anyone have advice what to do?

    Thanks for help

  • Compaq Mini 110 c-1103SO: need drivers for network cards after upgrade to Win 8.1

Woman's cell phone upgraded from XP to Win 8 Pro.  All set up, all the upgrades installed etc. disappeared.  Everything was fine, even got most of its programs to operate correctly and not had any problem with the internet.  Then fed Microsoft forces the OS update to 8.1 (PRO) and she lost contact to the internet.

No other device have problems with our home WLAN, regardless if they are connected by a wireless router or cable.  The newly improved PC connects to the router, wired and wireless, but the connection is 'limited' and gives no net access.  Even when you try a portable WiFi connection with a Tablet, the connection remains limited.

Contacted support technique microsoft: they claim 8.1 kernel is so different from 8.0 that the drivers on the PC no longer compatible (even if winning 8.1 was happy enough to re - install while improving...).  They also claim to be unaware that it even all compatible drivers are available for the cards we have.  This is their desire to 'help' ended and they told me to contact the manufacturer of the PC for those compatible.

Network cards are: Broadcom 802.11 g network card and Qualcomm Atheros AR8132 PCI - E Fast Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30).

What are the specifications for the drivers, I need and where can I get them?  Given that the affected device has no internet connection, I obviously need to download the drivers to another PC and transfer them using a memory stick.

Grateful for the help earlier - wife is not very happy...
