Non-registered SX-10 Cisco

I installed my SX-10 but there is a message at the top on the right that it is "not registered".

Does that mean and what should I do?

This means that it is not registered with a CUCM or VCS etc.

See the administration guide for how to configure it if you are using a device like a CUCM or VCS callcontrol.

If you use it as a 'stand-alone' system, you can delete this message by changing the 'Type of ContactInfo SystemUnit"to one of the other options, i.e. IP address, name of the system and it will be displayed in the place - or set it to 'None' not have anything posted yet again, see the Administrator's guide.

    We had strange connections in LMS 4.2.4 and earlier versions, even back at LMS 3.2.1. Even if I delete connections, they reappear as if the connection were present.

    Seems to be corrupted the database for ANI.   what I would say is to reset the database to ANI.

    Note: ANI database contains no historical data, reintilalizing so there won't be a problem.

    1. stop the daemon manager

    We recently bought blu - ray S590 player and were trying to use the remote media on android app. The application is able to see the unit on non-registered devices. But when I click on the device icon it restarts and goes back to the home screen. the same phenomenon occurs when I click button th 'i' next to the icon and then click on registration. This seems to be a problem with android app, as we were able to test it on an iphone. Help, please

    Dear experts,

    I'm quite new with the firepower of Cisco. I have 2 ASA5555 Cisco with firepower and deploy as a active / standby. We have three zone inside and OUTSIDE management. Firesight server is the stay in the planning area. I registered all module Cisco firepower at the center of Firesight project and I manage traffic inspection by fire on cisco ASA power module already. I applied the rule by default IPS for the registered device. I kept it for 2 days after that I do not throw an eye on cisco FireSight there is no any information. He showed 'No Data'. I wonder that I may miss configuration. I try to re - register the devices but it still the same. Please see the diagram below for more details.

    Since this is a new installation, try installing the latest code to use all the new features with the device. After a correct installation and having all the required license, including Firesight host license you must ensure that the traffic was correctly redirected to cross the Firepower.If of firepower redirects the traffic that you see the same thing by activating logging under the strategy of policy access control > Access Control > rules > Logging > logging at the beginning of the connection or the logging at the end of the connection. Once after you have enabled logging, save and reapply or redeploy policy changes. Each device has its own database connection parameters. You can check out the following link and see how many events can be stored in the device.

    If you can see the respective connection events under analysis > connection events, the dashboard data must also complete. If you have already activated the above and still no events are coming so please proceed as follows by the connection to Firesight CLI by raising for the root user.

  • Cisco VCS and composition to an IP address

    I have a question about the composition of address Ip and VCS. In the Administrator's guide, he says that VCS determines that an IP address that will be called if it is:

The Administrator's guide does, really, that the call would be placed. I'm stuck sorta messaging RAS, since EP - B would not be exchanging messages with the VCS - C RAS.

    I also wonder about calls from unregistered endpoint. EP - B could call EP - A directly. I don't want to support this behavior in the design (I recommend rather using the numbering of the URI. I am considering set up the Alias of relief on the VCS - C to channel calls from unknown devices to an attendant on the MCU. Regardless, what I was asking is the following:

    If I have a membership rule subarea as above and EP - B sends a message of call setup to the VCS - C, the VCS - C would still see the call as coming from the default Zone of the local area? The reason I wonder is because of the way the Administrator's guide defines "known IP addresses.

    to answer your question about the first scenario (where EP at dials the address IP of the EP B), VCS would attempt to place the call if there is a rule of type search 'AnyIPAddress' for the local area on the VCS - C (and assuming that the previously mentioned subzone containing 10.10.10.0/24 exists). VCS would be in this case send a message of CONFIGURATION H225 EP B.

    For the second scenario, where EP B contains the IP of the EP, EP B would send that an INSTALLATION H225 EP EP a. message would then for the message INSTALLATION with an INSTALLATION containing a reason 'routeCallToGatekeeper", instructing EP B to dial the address IP of VCS instead, since the VCS want to be included in the call, signaling path.

    To answer your last question, with regard to the area in which a call of an endpoint not registered (when the IP address of endpoint belongs to a subnet-type subfield) comes on, the answer is that the appeal turns on the default Zone. Calls will be local area if the call comes from a real end point recorded.

    I m deployment the following scenario:

    CUCM--> exp - c--> exp - e

    I registered sx10 and cisco jabbers on Cucm and I've implemented mra and b2b on the solution of the highway. Of sx10 I can dial in the external domain, everythings and the external ip address work very well.

    Also, I downloaded jabber - config.xml for uri component of jabbers users but I have a problem: when I compose b2b calls from a jabber user, the call comes in the highway-c, but this uses the time zone of the mra to the highway e, then "Service unavailable" error. I have already added the b2b area and works well endpoint sx10, but not jabbers users.

    Can someone help me?

    Something weird going on here. Looks like Jabber's still doing this call as a call MRA.

    Try adding a SIP (area boss) route in CUCM for externaldomain.es and refer her to your B2B SIP Trunk 5560 to Expressway. Then restart Jabber and try the call again. If it does not please post again the history of the research.

    Unlike the previous TANDBERG MCUs, none of the newer Cisco microcontrollers including the 5300 series is not an inner gatekeeper or clerk.  You will need to either save it to a CUCM or VCS call control server.
