5320 MCU and EX60

Hello

I was wondering if you could register EX60 directly to the MCU5320

I can't find any documentation on how to do it properly

i'm train to try to register as SIP in vain

any help will be greatly appreciated

Thank you

Unlike the previous TANDBERG MCUs, none of the newer Cisco microcontrollers including the 5300 series is not an inner gatekeeper or clerk.  You will need to either save it to a CUCM or VCS call control server.

  • a way to move c90 to 5320 mcu Conference

I have a setup where we use the multi-site c90 option. Is it possible to move a video conference live from c90 to 5320 mcu. The reason is that there may be a 5 attending the video conference and c90 can handle 4 (3 + himself). I don't know if one needs for 5 participants before the video conference begins and I have no port on the 5320 MCU to run all the video conference with this

Does anyone know a solution to this?

  • Cisco 5320 MCU layout / view

We recently converted a MPS200 bridge to a microcontroller of 5320 Cisco.  We have multipoint Conference with 8 participants.  The new 5320 MCU automatically selected a layout component 9.

It is that some of the participants in this appeal cannot see their auto show, as well as other 8 participants. They can switch back and comes between discovers them, and the participant discovers, but can't see both at the same time.

This issue was addressed after his conversion to the new MCU.  Any advice?

If you don't want to see for yourself, you will need to check the box.

Do you see yourself with small squares
Do not duplicate with small squares

Please see the documentation for more information

(taken from the online help you directly on the box (see the info / help buttons at the top of your mcu settings page))

Do you see yourself with small squares

Prevents the MCU Conference participants their own videos into small tiles of views of the component of variable size (and conferences with the shutters of equal size).

If this option is set, then a participant will never appear in a small window (see auto), even if there is a free small component available.   They can still appear in larger shutters, however, for example, if the development of view is changed manually to show their video.  See understand how to show participants in the page layout view for more details.

Do not duplicate with small squares

The MCU prevents duplicating large participating pane with small squares.

When you use a view of the Conference with some aspects of some small and large, the MCU will duplicate usually in a small window the video of a participant showed a large glass.  This is done to minimize the commutation of small tiles in response to changes in activity participating in the General pane.  If you prefer not to duplicate the participants into small tiles in this way, select this option.  For more details on view page layouts, see understand how to display the participants for the layout.

In addition, it is not really clear what they see and how it is different and how they are passed to the page layout

and how it behaves different for different endpoints.

Is there a model, such as specific endpoint types, versions of the software, users...

So maybe you could do some photos or even a short video.

In addition to all this, I these two checkboxes and telling people to use their local view on their

point endpoint to see if they need to check if they seem to always good :-)

Most of the people I spoke to find annoying if they you themselves, especially as the MCU always adds some lag.

  • 5320 MCU in TMS - booking Conference

I have a new 5320 MCU configured and managed in the TMS.  I can create a conference directly on the MCU, add participants, and it will dial a number and join the participants to the call correctly.  However, if I try to book a conference at TMS by selecting the participants and resource MCU, MCU does not connect endpoints for the call.  If I look at the details of calls that it said shows the following.  It's like he is waiting for the client to call the bridge, not the MCU outbound calls to customers?

Participants will connect using this route:

    Customer MOVI ==> Bridge

Hi if it is customer movi you attempt to dial, you must assign the automatic Conference connect and then add outgoing call participants where you type the movi/jabber address manually. You can see the connection setting tab before saving the Conference to see how the call will be set up (if the mcu expectd the customer allowing to switch or the mcu dial out). Customer MOVI has not automatically as regular endpoints generally have for the SCM cannot guarantee the call will implement.

  • 5320 MCU software update 3.1 TS

We currently have 5320 MCU running version 4.5 (1.45). I see that Cisco offers code TelePresence MCU server:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/conferencing/Telepresence-MCU-5320/model.html#releasenotes ~ rdtab1

Looking at the release notes is not very clear if when running 3.1 GST in MCU we will lose the ability to "Téléprésence MCU" in CUCM to use this 5320 MCU for Ad - hoc conferences.

I know that GST 3.1 does not offer this possibility, but if you look at the file name for the MCU is cisco_ts_3.1_1.98_for_mcu_5300.zip (32,04 MB) vs GST 3.1 cisco_ts8700_3.1_1.98.zip (26,24 MB)

    Thank you

If you upgrade your 5320 MCU with the telepresence server migration software, it will transform the MCU in a server of telepresence for all functions and features will be a telepresence server and not a MCU.  See the Software of TS running on MCU 5300 Series installation guide on how to convert your MCU to a telepresence server, if you are interested.

Here are two good discussions comparing platforms MCU and telepresence server, one of them specifically on migration from one to the other.

    What-difference-between-MCU-Cisco-Telepresence-Server

    Why-Replace-MSE-8510-MCU-44-Telepresence-Server-31

The cisco_ts_3.1_1.98_for_mcu_5300 software is for a series of 5300 MCU migrating to a server of telepresence.  The cisco_ts8700_3.1_1.98 software is specifically for the hardware already running a TP server software, such as the various servers of telepresence models listed here, this includes MCUs migrated to the server TP as the 5300 MCU to MCU MSE 8510 series software.

  • SIP spam attack and MCU and vcs - e call

as far as I know sip call spam attacks is done against the videoconference, connected with a public ip address, I disabled the sip but im not sure if my mcu and vcs - e with sound are vulnerable to them? they pose no threat to security for them? and if so, how? and what can we do about it?

It is a well known problem and it affects H.323 and SIP, take a look at the below threads:

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/discussion/12613681/attack-vcse

There are many more discussions on this issue, the above, this is just a small selection. :)

You do not need to disable SIP on the VCS-E, all you need to do is turn SIP UDP unless you need it for voice services.

You can protect yourself by using a CPL on the VCS-E who will avoid calls to go through your MCU, or anything else you have sitting behind the VCS-E. This is assuming that you are using a combo of VCS-C/VCS-E, with the VCS - C behind a firewall and the VCS-E outside the firewall, for example in the demilitarized zone.

Having just trouble ask points of termination or MCU sitting in nature with public IP addresses.

These scans, moreover, mainly looking for systems that will allow them to make free international calls.

  • How to take backup for VCSC, VCSE, MCU and TMS. I'm new in the world of video. A brief step by step would be appreciated

How to take backup for VCSC, VCSE, MCU and TMS. I'm new in the world of video. A brief step by step would be appreciated.

You can back up each server by following these steps:

For VCS, see "Backup and recovery of data from VCS" section in the Cisco VCS Administrator Guide X8.5, page 340.

For MCU, see "upgrade and save the MCU" section in the Cisco Telepresence MCU series online help 4.5, page 212.

For MSDS, see back up and restore SQL Server databases you will back up the database of TMS 'tmsng' of the SQL Server itself.  It could either be hosted locally on the TMS server if you have installed TMS with the default settings, or an external user provided SQL server.

  • Cisco 4205 MCU and 5320 waterfall or any other alternative?

  • C90 w/4210/5320 MCU H.239 Frame Rate

I admit the departure, it's "H.239 101" type question, but our environment is transitional on very old rooms of 4:3 which were never designed to manage content on separate screens so I'm just now my hands dirty with the intended user, experience sharing content.

My question is around H.239 - cadence for C90 endpoints as well as MCU-4210/5320...on the surface, it seems that they are able to share plenty of movement, full-video cadence in the H.239 channel, right? must be able to handle 720 p, 30 frames per second?

In tests, I connected a C90 to two MCU to the relatively high rate of calls (1.5 MB, 2,0 MB) and when I check stats, H.239 channel turns to the expected bitrate and resolution-but very low frequency of frames... between 4/7 frames per second

I think I am missing some setting commonly or game setting between the endpoint and MCU.

In addition to setting minimum outflow for the content on the MCU, what other effects H.239 - cadence? I tried to play with the settings of weight main/presentation in the C90, but does not appear to affect the results.

Thanks in advance for any response

Take a look at this discussion, cisco-mse-8510-content-frame-rate-and-resolution-limitations.  In short, the cadence of the content that is being received and sent by the MCU are dependent on how you have the quality that is configured for the endpoint PC Input, that is to say: (default) sharpness or movement.  There is no middle ground, or dynamic parameters, it's one of those two.

  • Cisco Telepresence 5320 MCU

    Hello..

We have integrated Cisco MCU 5320 CUCM Version 10.x and we are able to make calls to endpoints registered CUCM (SX20) to MCU with the ID of the meeting in addition to this, we use also VCS-control and have endpoints registered Polycom on to him but we are not able to make calls to MCUS using endpoints of Polycom recorded on VCS - C.

Please suggest a guide too which can support on the rules of numbering as well.

    Rgds,

    Vika

I am not able to give a precise any comparison between the differences of a MCU which is on CUCM or VCS, as I do not have a background in call manager.

What is the problem you are having with TMS scheduling?  Can you elaborate and explain that you have problems with, I can try to help.

  • 2 MCU and VCS Expressway, routing problem

    Hi all

We have a design with a group of control VCS (2 members), cluster VCS Expressway (2 members), and a couple of microcontrollers (registred H.323 on VCS control cluster with the same prefix: 90).

Each highway has a public IP address and incoming calls from outside can only be routed to microcontrollers:

    [email protected]/ * / for MCU_1 and [email protected]/ * / for MCU_2 (we don't have external DNS resolution).

    I put a conversion into motorway of VCS to change [email protected]/ * / to [email protected] / * / and [email protected]/ * / to [email protected] / * /.

The problem is when someone calls [email protected]/ * / sometimes (randomly) the call is routed to MCU_2 (instead of MCU_1) and if the appellant see the auto attendant.

The occcurs even then of the appeal [email protected]/ * / (MCU_2), sometimes the call is routed to MCU_1.

Any idea what can cause this device or a way to make it work well?

    Thanks for help.

    José

I think still that separate prefix would work, but here are a few ideas:

Are incoming calls which do not possibly using SIP that is being interoperability H323 or incoming calls all certainly the H323?

If you want to keep pure H323, you could perhaps just have a search rule/turn on your VCS-E who changed [email protected] to an E164 e.g. 90... and had a search on your VCS - C rule that says 90... stop at the local area.

I also noticed that you direct calls to [number]@MCU-IP - have you tried to direct all calls to [number]@VCS-C IP instead?  If the VCS is the holder of a registration for a number, it should be able to deliver accordingly.

  • Tandberg MCU 5300 series supports the Conference me the feature?

    Hi all

I would like to know that the 5300 Tandberg MCU series supports the Conference me the feature?

We checked the 5320 MCU data sheet,

    Cisco TelePresence MCU 5320 CTI-5320-MCU-K9

Comes with: 5320 - MCU and cables - MCU ports must be enabled with optional port licenses

Software for Cisco TelePresence MCU 5320 license options

1 nHD full HD/2 HD/4 SD/8 ports on 5320 MCU (max 10 with this option (6 used for nHD)) LIC-5300-4PL

Second option Ethernet port (VFO) for the MCU 5320 LIC-5300-VFO

AES and HTTPS option for the MCU 5320 LIC-AESMCU53-K9

However, there is no information related to Conference me function.

So, can we know everything that Tandberg MCU 5300 series supports the Conference me the feature?

  • Configuration of the firewall Cisco Telepresence MCU 5320

    Hi all.

I searched all the documents of the MCU again, but I found nothing on the ports it uses.

    Help me

HI Sandra.  The 5320 MCU is the same as 4500 MCU.

    Incoming ports
    • FTP - TCP:21 + transient (dynamic rather than fixed) used TCP ports for passive mode
    • HTTP - TCP:80
    • HTTPS - TCP:443
    • H.323 - TCP:1720 + ephemeral TCP ports for incoming calls
    • SNMP - UDP:161
    • Outgoing calls to H.323 involve ephemeral ports TCP connections TCP TCP:1720 and a certain number of ephemeral TCP ports
    • Outgoing SIP TCP calls involve connections between the TCP ephemeral ports and TCP:5060
    • Outgoing SIP TCP calls involve connections between the TCP ephemeral ports and TCP:5061
    • Outgoing interruptions SNMP are sent the ephemeral ports UDP Port 162
    • Media (including audio and video, FECC messages) are ephemeral ports from ephemeral ports UDP.
    • The products acquired Cisco TANDBERG/Codian and gateway series series Cisco TelePresence allocate the ephemeral ports between 49152 to 65535 *. It is possible to change the ports on which these products receive and establish connections. For example, by default the Codian products Cisco acquired listen port 1720 H.323 calls and connections to port 80 web browser, but these can be modified (go to network > Services).

Keep in mind this MCU does not support the streaming or conference me and have either the GK aboard.  If these ports are listed.
