Running Norton Internet Security & Firefox 6.0.2 when Norton reported xpatlcom.dll file as suspect. Do nothing unusaual with Firefox (I was on Amazon, I think).

I'm running a Toshiba with Windows Vista. The 24th of this month, I have installed the updates for my computer, but when I rebooted I had absolutely no noise. I double checked to make sure it was not cut, I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, and then I tried to do a system restore. None of them worked.

Then I tried to check updates more see if this would help to solve my current problem and began to find more mistakes, such as "could not find updates, error code: 800 b 0001 ' or 'Code error 8024402F' these are mistakes that I see most.

Then when I go to open certain programs I get errors that say something about ' bad image: problem with Dssenh.dll "when I try to save it again, I get other errors with about 5 other .dll files.

Of course, I went to the Microsoft website long enough... and I went through multiple options and steps, but nothing helped. So I thought that my last option is to ask.

The last thing I can find is to download the "System update readiness Tool" to check for problems.

Well, I can't download or run because of my error '800 b 0001'.

I don't know what I would do at this point... Help?

Before the update from the update began when my computer was being restarted... I had a black screen and had a weird three-step process that was supposed to be recommended. Meanwhile, there was a flood of information that crosses the screen.

McAfee (and Norton) applications are notorious for not to uninstall (or upgraded) themselves!

3. click right on the file saved in #1 above, and then select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

I don't think that it is VirtualBox as it seems to be updated and I saw no panic reported in this version.

First, try to remove the above kernel extensions by using the uninstall program that is provided by the developer of these applications.

The other possibility is your RAM. He reports not a model number, it can be a problem. As you can not replace the RAM, you may be able to bring to the Apple Store to test.

I just installed Firefox 6, and the report does more - the same problem you had with Firefox 5. What is going on?

Satellite A200 reporting screens not correctable hardware problem blue

My model Satellite A200 PSAFCA-01H00J is blue screening and reporting of a non correctable hardware problem. I disconnected all devices, including the mouse.

All tests of memory and the device driver may report any problems. I unplugged and reinsert the two memory chips.

There has been no hardware or changes to software other than Windows to auto update.

MS Office report Express VI and table problem

I have a strange problem with MS Office report VI, which is included with the report generation tool. I created an Excel template that I linked, according to the preference "Custom template for Excel" and all the named ranges. However, two of the named ranges that I entered are 1 d arrays of doubles. Now the problem:

When I entered the berries to their specific name range (it's only 6 values), instead of simply enter the values in the table in the cells he entries like this:

We use the library for the development of a program ke24xx.dll own .vi who commanded the operation and the measures of resistance. However, two days ago, the program has begun to measure evil, i.e. the extent of the window of the façade of the instrument didn t match the value sent to the PC.

We use a NOR-GPIB-USB-HS and we installed the driver NOR-488. 2 (the same that was used until the occurrence of the gap) and we tested the unit with other programs based on the same library one another NOR-GPIB-HS and another laptop. All the tests were wrong.

On the other hand, we tested the same configuration by using the supplied 2.0 Labtracer by Keithley (it is developed with Labview so I understand it uses the same driver) and this test gave good results, the measurement from the front of the unit correspond to the extent of the data sent.

We do not understand what is happening. Has anyone had the same problem? It is possible that the library may be corrupted?

If you get to the missing file mf.dll errors or any other errors with the mf.dll file, we suggest that you re-install the program, uninstall and reinstall a newer version, or check to see if updates are available for the program associated with the file instead of trying to copy a new version of the file on the computer. File errors are often caused by more than just a missing or corrupt file and copy a single file could cause more problems.

There is a patch for this game as well. Have you tried to install the patch and check if it helped.

What is the name of the oldest game? You can download the DLL if you really must. It seems that people get around this problem by finding this file on XP and copy on another computer.

2009 DLL problems

I am trying to import a dll in 2009,

I used tools, import, hsared library (.dll), then I do not get a choice on the next window "specify create or update mode" is selected. On the next window, I put the path to the dll and header. There are them an another windo with 'include path' and "preprocessor definitions", if I don't choose anything here and click next then presented dll functions have an x beside them on the next window.

I have attached the manual which includes some other tips programming but for VB and C++.

I hope someone can help.

This file has two problems. The first is the use of the bool data type that is only a C++ data type but not a datatype C standard. I do not think that the Import Wizard supports this, but the solution would add a function defined as #define bool char to her sets the framework of the Import Wizard.

The biggest problem is that it only defines the function pointer types, but not the function prototypes.

You can fix this by adding following line at the end:

CHKDSK examines the disk space and use of the disk for the table of allocation of files (FAT) and NTFS file systems. CHKDSK provides information specific to each file system in a situation report. The report shows the errors found in the file system. If you run chkdsk without the /f on an active partition command line option, it can report errors because it cannot lock the drive. You should use chkdsk occasionally on each disk to check for errors.

If you run chkdsk from a command prompt while Windows is running, it can report errors or it may not report errors - and it may report different
Errors each time you run. If this is the case, it could just be the way you run chkdsk.

Here's how Microsoft explains this observation:

"... CHKDSK may report that the disc is damaged, even when there is no
current real corruption. This can happen if NTFS happens to modify
areas of the disc on behalf of some programme activities that CHKDSK is
review at the same time. To check a volume correctly, the volume
must be in a static state, and the only way to ensure that the State is
to lock the volume. CHKDSK only locks the volume when /F or/r (which
involves the 'F') is specified. For example, you may need to run CHKDSK more than
time so that it can complete all the steps in read-only mode. »

If you run chkdsk from a command prompt, you are not the necessary static state and you can encounter errors "when no real corruption is present. This is how it works when you use this way. Any changes made to a NTFS file system modifies the USN Journal. If you are not in a static state, your USN change Journal probably all the time, so what you see (says something like that) can be quite normal.

Two ways to ensure that you are in a static state is to run chkdsk from the Recovery Console or to schedule a chkdsk to run the next time that the system
Restart by answering Yes to the question:

Would you want to check this volume to be the next time the system restarts?

If chkdsk reports errors when running in a static state, the errors should be investigated, resolved or explained. This may take several
chkdsk runs all of the issues and some problems cannot be resolved by chkdsk.

If chkdsk runs the next time the system is restarted, the activity and the result will be displayed in the application event log. Look in the Application log for
Winlogon events and a source have the date and the duration nearby time chkdsk.

It is in fact a chkdsk additional reading if you want to learn about it and it will explain everything you see and why your expectations exceed reality.

The problem I have is very similar to this knowledge base entry: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/2FCAAF080951FCAB86256982007AA16C except that I am experiencing on the target with no development environment machine. I installed the runtime Labview 7.1.1 first, then I had to also run a few old 5.1.1 code so I installed the 5.1.1 runtime. I am currently not able to print, I get the following error: Member not found in value Margins.vi-> simple text Report.vi-> printdata.vi...

Anyone know how to solve this problem without using the development environment?

Hillman, I think I've solved the printing problem. That's what I did:

1. from Add/Remove, I uninstalled OR-report

2. starting at \Shared, I removed the directory NOR-reports

3. I checked the registry, but there are no records OR reports to remove - if no change here

4. I did a repair on the 7.1.1 run the engine. Printing from 5.1 seems OK now. I still have more work to do on my new 7.1.1 application, so if I see more problems, you may hear from me again.
