  • Not able to burn CD/DVDs on my Satellite P100 - 10 p

    I have a Satellite P100 - 10 p using a carpet * a burner DVD UJ-850 s. I used to be able to burn CDs and DVDs.

    No more.

I can still read most CDs and DVDs. except a few types, where it says that the CD is empty/Virgin/new and offers to burn something on this subject. But he refuses to burn anything... CD, DVD, of a brand or type.

I don't know exactly what caused his or when it happened (I rarely burn CD and DVD), but the approximate time is after my machine automatically upgraded to Vista Home Premium SP1.

Apparently, I have the latest version of the driver software.

I tried all the usual suggestions including:
Delete upper and lower filters (there where no filter upper and lower in my registry)
    * Remove device from the list of devices and reinstall
    * Remove all software that might have interfered with the pilot

All the world is facing this problem? And found a solution?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I had this similar problem, but after removing the upper and lower filters, everything worked again.
Can I ask what burning applications you use?

I use Nero and it s great!

  • Satellite Pro L450 - 13G - able to burn a DVD?

It is clearly said DVD + rewritable outside the disc tray and CD + RW, but put an end to any attempt to burn a DVD in any burner "found." A burner is one of the main reasons I chose this model.
Nobody really knows if he is supposed to be an engraver of DVD in the L450 - 13g?

The MS software is there. I checked Device Manager and all I get is CDDVDW TS L633C which is not useful.

Otherwise, it should not be printed on the Board.

    Hey Buddy,

Exactly, what program you use for burning discs?

As wrote Akuma that it could be linked to the high - and lowerfilters that you should remove in the Windows registry. Therefore, follow the instructions on the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

If it doesn t work you can test another burning like CD Burner XP program. It s freeware tool compatible with all versions of Windows.

  • I'm trying to burn a music video on a DVD, but I can't seem to burn my DVD drive is drive D: not the E: drive. What should I do?

I run Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3

XP cannot natively just burn it to a dvd, use third-party software such as nero or roxio.  From there, you can choose which drive to use.
Also, if you want to watch on a dvd player, you have to burn as a dvd-video disc, a pc can read both this type of disc or a dvd data disc, where you just burn the file as it is on the disk.

  • DVD Drive Power Off and does not restart

DVD Multi hunt in my ThinkPad W530 assignments after a while to save battery. But when I go into my computer, make a straight on the drive and click to turn on, nothing happens. The Player opens and allows me to put the disc in it, but no program on my computer does not detect the drive. Not Windows Explorer, not any program, not Windows Media Player to DVD burning. When I disconnect, then reconnect, the drive simply disappears from the hard disk.

So far, the only way that I was able to get the DVD drive working again is by restarting the computer.

    What can I do?

    ThinkPad W530

    NVIDIA Quadro K1000M

    64-bit Windows 8

Actually the above did not work. I uninstalled Cyberlink PowerDVD and DVD player started working as it was supposed to.

  • The CD/DVD drive in my laptop is missing or not detected by my Acer Aspire 4520?

A while ago my laptop Acer fell and the CD/DVD drive pulled after its fall. I thought for sure that it was broken and my laptop. Fortunately it seems not that this was the case and after that put in does what it normally would, the green light would flash and it seemed to work again. However, I never thought not to test with a DVD or CD to see if it actually worked. Is that recently that I started to use CD for games and other and I found the driver to read the discs, but nothing happened thereafter.

Well for some time now, I tried to find a solution to my problem. The driver seems to work, but when it comes to playing the discs it do anything more. Some of my other programs such as Windows Media Player saying that my laptop is missing the driver CD/DVD. I also went to the menu of F2 from the laptop to the startup and after looking around, I find that there is no entry for the CD/DVD drive and that the entry is empty. I'm not sure why my laptop can't detect the drive. I tried many things such as the Microsoft Fix It, but ends up giving me an error saying that some components are not well read or something similar to that.
Any help is greatly appreciated and if there is anything that I can provide for any further help I will do it gladly.
I should also mention that the CD/DVD does not appear in Device Manager.

    Hey Uma,

This could be due to the fact that the "Shell Hardware Detection" can be disabled. I suggest to activate and check for the issue. Follow these steps:

    (a) affects Windows and R together and type "services.msc" in the Run dialog box.

    (b) locate "Detection hardware core" and right-click on it.

    (c) click on 'Automatic' under Startup type , click Start under the Service status.

    (d) click apply.

    (e) click OK.

Check the question with a blank DVD and see if she is gettting detected.

  • How can I burn a DVD image files?

I am trying to burn pictures of Media Center on a DVD. When I click on a folder to add, it does not copy the file, but all the individual photos in the folder.  I would have categorized folders on the DVD and but it is creating a list of 2000 photos.  I was able to burn a DVD with files by choosing Select all, but since I have too many files it copied only the first 12 I.  I use Media Center with Windows XP.

Apparently is greater than the total size of the file of your photo collection
the limits of your DVD. You can try to split the collection
    on several DVD.

I'm guessing that you create a data for archiving purposes (backup) DVD?

  • Burn a DVD with "disk utility".

Before El Capitan (10.11.2), I was able to burn a DVD using "disk utility".  Here are the instructions that I used.  Disk utility has now a new version Version 15.0 (1511.3) and the statement no longer work.  Can anyone update these instructions?

    Copy DVD

Follow these instructions to make a copy of your DVD unprotected:

Insert your DVD into your Mac. Most Macs will automatically launch the DVD player. Once he starts, he gave up. You should see your DVD drive mounted on your desktop.

Open disk utility (Applications > utilities). Select the DVD drive in the list on the left. You will notice that there are two DVD icons - select the one slightly indented (this is the DVD itself, while the first is the drive).

Click on "New Image" in the main window of disk utility.

Choose a name and a destination in the window "Save as...". ». Don't forget that your destination should have enough space to copy the whole DVD, which can be more than four concerts.

In the window "Save as...". ', to ensure that the selection 'Format of Image' is set to ' CD/DVD Master' and the selection of "Encryption" is set to 'none '. Click Save.

After you have copied the DVD in your destination drive, return to disk utility. Your new disk Image will appear in the list on the left side of the disk utility window. The original disc of DVD on your Mac.

Insert a DVD disc that is accessible by writing in your Mac. Select your disk Image created in the list on the left side of the disk utility window. Click on "Burn" in the main window of disk utility. Choose your burn speed and if you want to check the data burned.

You will receive confirmation once you the DVD are engraved with success and you are all set with a new copy of your DVD drive. Just save your new disk Image and you can make a copy whenever you may need.

That is right. Apple has removed this feature FROM.

You can do it from the Finder

  • Satellite A200-AH5 CD/DVD drive does not burn any CD

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite (A200 AH3) under Windows Vista Home Premium.
    For what it's worth, there's a T2085 @ 1.73 GHz processor. It is a 32-bit operating system.
In the Device Manager when I click on the CD/DVD-Rom drives, I get CD/DVGW TSSTcorp TS-L632D ATA Device.
By clicking on this that I find that the driver is working correctly and up-to-date. I was not able to burn a CD on this system...

I have not tried to burn a DVD.
I ran through all the steps to burn a CD, however, but even if he goes through the process to show the progress that each song to a playlist is burned to disc, when the disc is supposed to be finalized... nothing on the disc when I try to read, and with the exception of iTunes or another program open when I place the CD in the drive to be played absolutely nothing happens.
I tried to burn music on a CD on the desktop of my sister, and it burned fine.

Then... It is not a problem with the discs.
When I took the disc to my sister had burned and placed in the disk drive on my laptop, it displays the tracks that had been burned and he played the music very well. This really threw me a loop for.
The laptop is only a year old and I can not burn anything.

Unfortunately, the warranty has expired. I am desperate to get this problem fixed. I don't know if he's going to burn a DVD, but I ruined 2 boxes of CD - R discs already. After disk supposedly burned music... even if no music has been burned... the disc is ruined and must be discarded.

I'm not terribly knowledgeable about aspects of warming of the computers, so I hope you can tell me in general terminology if you answer to my problem. I really hope someone out there can advise me as to what is happening or what I should do to fix the problem.

Thanks for any help in advance!

    Thank you.

    Hello

In your case, I recommend trying the different CD s from different manufacturers.
You should know that not all CD or DVD would be fully compatible with your internal CD/DVD drive.
In many cases no compatible CD or DVD would lead to exactly the same problems that you described in your post so trying different media!

In addition, I recommend checking the Toshiba driver for a CD/DVD drive update page s firmware.
As I m not wrong not the Satellite A200-AH3 belongs to the Canadian series and you should check the Canadian page for a new firmware. Maybe a new firmware is available

Last but not least, you can switch to other burning software I m using Nero I think it s the best applications for such purposes
